    saraSJS Says:

Even if the only reason for popularity of IMY was its actors, this drama lacks that factor. If just watching pretty faces of YSH, YJG and Micky was enjoyable enough for the rest of an episode, this drama lacks that. If you just watched IMY for the beautiful lines and great OST, this drama lacks that. Even story-wise, is Korea such a loose and lawless country that you can do every evil deed and become the first lady? Don’t they do any background check? Are their intelligence services for decoration? Even the story doesn’t make sense. So IMY is way better than this.

    after see ep 11-12

just good.. that the plot going fast.. so I hope after Soo Jung know that his fiance already die.. the writer would make his role more aktive by help HR get revenge.. maybe by shaking Doo Hoon n JDH relationship … it would be interesting !!

    Leomk Says:

I think this drama is better or IMY is better it depends on your feelings and which type of dramas u like to watch. If u think this drama is bad, so why the ratings are high and increasing? Are korean viewers are that stupid to watch such a film? This drama need to be followed every eps and can attract a lot of viewers from old to young people if aired on TV but not popular in internet or young netizens. I don’t like kdramas which are too cheesy and icky, so I don’t like IMY but it’s just my feelings. Yeah, u know each person has his/ her own opinion.

Must watch this series!! Soo ae acting is excellent. After I watched QOA, I find other of her acting. A thousand day’s promise and I really love her. Althogh, I hate Ju Da Hea in QOA. I want to know the ending of this serie very very much coz I can not think what’s happen then? Good plot, make me crazy to watch!

    saraSJS Says:

Ratings can’t guarantee the quality. Just take a look at the dramas with high ratings. Except for few ones, the rest are not worth watching. Don’t forget the cultural differences. What they find great, we might find not a bit interesting.

  7. 107
    JennySM Says:

Very good drama. I Get me addicted to every episode. The casts are awesome. The story is moving fast with twists. It’s hard to predict what happen next. If you skip one epi., you will probably missing out a lot. HaRyu and Da Hae are excellent in portraying their characters.

  8. 108
    Leomk Says:

@saraSJS I half agree with u. Some dramas are good but they are underrated for some reasons. And I feel sorry for them because they deserve to be appreciated more. But most of high ratings dramas are good. U blame on the cultrural differences, so why do u like Kdramas which come from other countries. Most production staffs make their films based on their nation’ viewers’ tastes and foreigners still like them. And maybe I live in the same country as u and have the same cultrure as u but I still like different dramas with u or your own relatives dislike ur favourite dramas. So, high ratings dramas are good dramas but it doesnot mean they’ll popular among netizens or all people like them because of viewers’ different tastes and age group. But dramas with low ratings doesn’t mean they’re bad, sometimes other dramas aired on the same time slot are extremely great so they are underrated ( such as you’re beautiful which aired on the same time as iris 1)

    Aubrey Says:

Since people are comparing IMY with Yahwang i think IMY is good but i think Yahwang is better, plot wise, it gets you interested. Like some people stated, liking a drama depends on your taste. IMY is full of young actors, Yahwang has veteran actors except for the Dohoon character i think. i only watched IMY because of Yoo Seung Ho and Yoon Eun Hye who are my favs. Tho the story is quite predictable it got me watching for the love of Seung Ho. Yahwang on the other hand got the story that makes me excited to watch the drama. I’d say the actors are all doing a great job there. The evilness, the love and the sacrifices made by the characters are so captivating you want to see justice done. Me and my family would catch ourselves cursing at the evilness of the Soo Ae, the martyrdom like if Kwon Sang Wo and the stupid love of Dohoon. We are excited to see what the end will be like in this drama. Kudos Yahwang and fighting!!!

    lalala Says:

I don’t understand why ppl comparing QOA with IMY since they’ve got different plot even though both are melodrama..I think QOA more similar with NG..
I really love IMY & makes me wanna watch again & again, never makes me bored especially for PYC’s scenes..For NG drama, I feel sleepy & failed to watch till the last eps even though I love SJK..
But I watched QOA too, I admit it’s a good drama too..KSW is a king of melo but after this drama ended I will definitely NOT gonna re-watching it..It’s too melo, dark & I hate JDH’s char..

    ema Says:

Actress Soo Ae is ugly and old for the role. Kim Sung Kwon Sang Woo Ryeong and are wonderful in everything I do in this series.

  12. 112
    Dan Says:

God, I hate that woman. Shebat have a demon inside of her, she is so manipulative. I also dislike the actress Soo Ae who plays her. She is probably an ambitious bitch in real life as every role she has ever played in dramas is practically the same!!

  13. 113
    saraSJS Says:

You didn’t get my point. By cultural differences i meant dramas which are just and only acceptable in their own geographical area and culture and foreigners think of them as weird. The interesting point is that the stranger the drama, the higher the ratings. Not 20% ratings. I’m talking about 40,50. I watch K-dramas. But it doesn’t mean i like all of them or accept what’s implied in them. I watch few eps, if they are good and acceptable, keep watching. If not give them up. How many of us watch high ratings family dramas with more than 70 eps? Even if we watch them, how many of us can accept the characters’ motivation to do a certain thing? The same with this one. I don’t get why the girl is doing these evil deeds while she could go and work in another company? How she can do everything she wants and still be free? Why two men are crazily in love with her while she’s neither innocent nor femme fatal? There are things that just are explainable in their own culture. Maybe she ‘s considered a beauty in her country and people aren’t surprised that two men love her. But to me, she and he and he are just crazy and fool people whom i can’t understand at all. The theme of a drama must be universal so all the people can relate to it.

  14. 114
    hny Says:

    ep 13..
I think the plot going slow again …why ms hong just said abt the bookbank … n just let Do hoon who yell to her .. not go straight to point ..who send the money ..tell abt her daughter ..just tell him ..why she being surprise to DH reactions …just stupid step they made …

And why in this century writer make a chaebol man so blind abt women ….arggggg… a prince should be smart too ..

I just hope that writer will use So Jung and develop his char more ..
    … just fighting QA !!

Sara jjs always talk about IMY, She must be fans of that drama or PYC, Sorry I’m not interested with that drama There’s nothing attract my attention to watch it. Not the story or the actor. May be if the main actor is YSH and the story interesting I will check it since I know YSH is good actor

    eny Says:

    sorry wrong type “saraSJS”

  17. 117
    Kurayuzaki666 Says:

@eny saraSJS is actually a Park Yu-chun fanatic. And there’s nothing wrong with it. She has her own point of loving IMY but I do not feel the say (just a little though). I too have few bad remarks with IMY even if I am a big YEH fan. Maye bcos I am YEH fan that I kinda overlook the “UNRIPED” developments of her character as a raped victim. There was just two episodes where I can see the STRIVES of her character.

In this series, I am just amazed that from negative ratings this drama pull it through to high ratings and since I am a certified rating-conscious viewer, then I am totally interested with this drama.

I cannot mock KOREAN PEOPLE TV VIEWING HABIT. They gave HIGH and FAVORABLE RATINGS to THOSE WORTHY TO WATCH TV DRAMAS. Yes, there are few underrated dramas that have high qualities but nevertheless IT’S OUR DISTINCT TASTES that make a K-drama HAVEY or WALEY. 🙂

    Kurayuzaki666 Says:

  19. 119
    saraSJS Says:

If you read IMY thread, you’ll never find a small fanatic comment from me about Micky. Just normal compliments about his acting in that drama. Here also i never mentioned him specifically. What makes you think that people love a drama just because they are the actor fanatic fan? I’m the one who watches a drama as a whole package and give up the weak ones even if my real bias is the actor. e.g. Kim Jae Won in MQ. I dropped that drama coz it was a big failure despite my love for KJW. Here in this website, I’ve been accused to be different actors fanatic fan. From LMH to your favorite YSH and PSH. Why? Coz i don’t like to just praise my fave and ignore others superb performance. Go to NG thread and you’ll think i’m a SJK fanatic, go to Faith thread and you’ll find me a LMH fanatic, go to QIM and you think i’m a JHW fanatic. But i should announce that my only and only biases are LEE SEUNG GI, KIM JAE WON AND YOON SI YOON. But if their performances are not good, i’m not the one who just praises them. So please just write your ideas about the drama not about others fave actors. You have the right to say my idea is wrong. But we don’t have the right to accuse each other of something we’re not sure about. I’m not saying this because i’m angry that you called me a Micky fanatic fan. No, i like him. But you know i didn’t love anyone more than YJG in IMY.

  20. 120
    saraSJS Says:

    Sorry “YEH”

  21. 121
    Kurayuzaki666 Says:

@saraSJS you missed my intention. As what I said in my previous comment here –> “saraSJS is actually a Park Yu-chun fanatic. And there’s nothing wrong with it.” The last statement should strikes youi though but it seems it did not hold your system.

If you’re not a fan of PYC, instead u’re actually fan of YJG, then it’s still the same.

SaraSJS is actually a YJG fan for his acting in IMY.
Regardless of either you are a fan oF him or u r amazed of his performance, there’s one thing that you missed on what i wrote and that’s —> “THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT”

Liking a drama either for the sake of the actors, the actors performance, and the storyline are justifiable because we have different tastes in recognizing K-dramas. THERE’S NOTHING WRONG WITH IT”. We have our own of loving certain drama(s).

Saying that you are a fan of PYC does not mean I am ACCUSING you since in the first place you did not commit a crime, the exact word should be MISLABELING. And I’m truly sorry for that.

So u’re a certified LSG, KJW and YSY fan and you gave up their series with either because of the performance of the actors or the storyline with it. Again, THERE’S NOTHING WRONG IT. You got ur own points.

Somebody was just confuse why you ALWAYS mention I Miss You in this thread? And it seems you are hating this particular drama because of conflict of character which Soo Ae played. A wicked woman who turns into a First Lady.

I can totally understand you and I am not angry or hurt with your reply. I was just answering a query from someone who seemed have the right to know your answer on why you always brought IMY in this thread. Again, there’s nothing wrong with it. But, apparently, few of the viewers are kinda upset of this comparing melo-dramas.

Again, I am not hurting or angry at you. It’s just that being a fan or liking a Korean celebrity is not an offensive deed. It does not commit crime or it does not accuse you of committing mistakes or wrong doing. It’s actually an APPRECIATION. Thanks for reading.

  22. 122
    Kurayuzaki666 Says:

@SaraSJS I am not a YSH or PSH fanatic. I am only a big YEH fan. Thanks for your insight and sorry for the MISLABELING. 🙂

  23. 123
    Kurayuzaki666 Says:

AND #SaraSJS What makes you think that people love a drama just because they are the actor fanatic fan?

Are you generalizing the question above or it just concludes you? Coz in general, there are LOTS of viewers who watched K-dramas because they are indeed a fanatic of certain actor/actress. I am a YEH fan, and I always look for news about her upcoming dramas. We all are subjective in this matter. If that question implies to you alone then I am sorry for the mislabeling of being a PYC fan. That’s wrong to assume coz you are UP FOR for quality dramas not being a bias fan of certain actor but Ive notice some interesting comments you have:

“Even if the only reason for popularity of IMY was its actors, this drama lacks that factor. If just watching pretty faces of YSH, YJG and Micky was enjoyable enough for the rest of an episode, this drama lacks that. THIS ONE IS SUBJECTIVE

So IMY is way better than this.”- THIS ONE IS OBJECTIVE

So this is what you called a TOTAL PACKAGE?

  24. 124
    eny Says:

I didn’t say loving IMY or PYC is crime, I just guess it because I always see she mention that drama not only in this thread.

Thank god for korean drama Says:

Don’t you find it tiring , bickering at each other , explaining yourself , proving to i don’t know who and for what is laughable. Many of you commentors, whether you want to admit or not is self indulgent and righteous believing that what you think is best and is right is so narcistic. If you love the drama just keep watching it and if you don’t , just drop it ,simple as that. I, myself don’t like the lead character nor the role she plays ,so after giving it the benefit of a doubt watching few episodes thinking that my feelings might change, actually it didn’t .So i just move on, there so many to choose from some are good and many are not so good.I bet you ,me writting and saying this ,people will response to it, all i can say is just give it at rest and save your breath. This is exactly what i mean by not wasting your time over analyzing the story and the drama itself.Angry yet. anybody itching to response.Relax and take a deep breath ,and i am sure you and i very well know who you are .

  26. 126
    Kurayuzaki666 Says:

@eny my replies are in reply to SaraSJS’s, not yours. 🙂 those are referring to saraSJS’s.

@Thankgodfor Korean drama, it’s better to voice out your honest opinion and criticisms than just keeping it on yourself. I really admired those viewers who are posting their honest reviews in this site’s thread. After all it’s relevant to read some comments either bad or good, either with the same thought of urs or the opposite. This interaction strengthens the anticipation, viewership’s’ impact etc.

  27. 127
    saraSJS Says:

Thank you for the answer. I know this is just a discussion. And as for my comment you quoted, it was the reply to a comment which said the only charm of IMY was its actors. Actually i sarcastically answered her.

  28. 128
    saraSJS Says:

And i forgot to say that i don’t hate this drama, its actors or anything. It’s just something that doesn’t make sense to me.

  29. 129
    Sarah Says:

I do hate on of the actors. I know it is just acting but I cannot stand her anyway. Not in any roles. It is Soo Ae. She is unnerving and quite annoying. I do not care if she is popular in her country I just do not like her.

Great drama. The main leads SooAe and Ksw are excellent in portraying their characters. Bdk, I pity her character. I hope she will find someone who truly luvs her

    sangjhoon Says:

@ sarah & @arsenia, i agree w/u both, i don’t like the actress as well i dunno why 🙂 good drama though each epis u’ll hate da hae, i luv kwon sang woo he’s a gr8 actor! i first saw soo ae in love letters & from that drama i never liked her, i just watched this coz of kwon song woo plus the story itself is quite good!

  33. 133
    Zijila Says:

Soo Ae is good actress, her act seem so real. She doesn’t care if the character would ruin her image. She do the good job, i really like her as a person not her character she play it now.

  34. 134
    Kurayuzaki666 Says:

A real critique should not be SUBJECTIVE. Hating a drama because you hate the main lead is childish. Go for the storyline, the content, the twist, the depth of their characters, not to the actress as herself.

If somebody says here that the main actress is like a devil in this drama coz she acted like a devil. Then that’s a credit. That’s a good comment.

But if you say that you don’t like the main actress because she as herself is hateful and annoying, then that’s being judgmental.

I am not a Soo Ae fan, but hating her as herself signifies that you are a certified hater. And hating is a sickness.

    eps 14.15.16.. I run 4 this!!

so curious abt next eps.. what exactly Doo hoon like from JDH after all lies , is it bcoz her beauty?!! really don’t understand his char except he is so blind abt love… since he married JDH there’s no relationship that tell me ‘ he has unforgetable moment w JDH.. so really curious what writer will made him.. why my DH so depressed, she is just a workaholic wife !! not a lovely wife…
this drama just like ‘ play a word’ between HR n JDH.. no end.. HR still can’t touch JDH to the place he want.. I thought HR is wishy washy men, he doesn’t know what he really want with JDH.. did he want JDH get punishment or he want JDH back to his side again or he want they die together… this story slow to get the point… but this drama win to play my emotions… arrrgggg can’t wait for the ending ;))

Last weeks ep. 15 & 16 was painful to watch. I shed tears at the end of 16. I wasn’t a fan of Soo Ae until I saw 1000days promise last month. So, I am a bit biased towards her.

For those that hate her character, you are supposed to…it is only a role and she is just acting.

I for one, like her character and am silently cheering her on in the background.
I dislike the lawyer and want him to leave her alone so she can soar!!! yes, she was wrong but he got his revenge in ep.16. So, he needs to move on and let her be!!

awwwwmy poor Yunho…I cried for him.

  37. 137
    Sarah Says:

I was so happy that Soo Ae was chased out. She plays a major bitch. I doubt she left Korea for the States tough because she is so extremely calculating. That we will see on episode 17. As long ad Hareyu is on her tail again so she can suffer, it’s okay.

Ya, i was wondering too, did Joo Da Hae killed Baek Do Hoon??? cos he died after her visit… if she really killed him, she is dam inhuman!!! for a man who had loved her so much… despite all the things that she had done… i think this type of man is hard to get in real life. The actress is successful as so many viewers dislike her after watching. Congrats! She has done it.

Joao Dae Hae , the woman you love to hate! I don’t even like that actress. I dislike her in every single thing I have ever seen her in and I do not find her attractive at all. She has no emotions and the ones she fakes are so lame, like telling her half brother that she can’t do without him. He is so stupid and easily manipulated.

    India Samks Says:

Torri, there has never been anyone as evil and calculating. She literally has no conscience. Killing someone that gets in her way means nothing to her. By episode 18 she had a body count of 4 people who have died because of that bitch.
