Silenced is a harrowing South Korean drama film based on a real-life novel by Gong Ji-young. The movie revolves around the story of a group of deaf and mute students at a school in Gwangju who are being intimately assaulted by their teachers. The school’s principal and a few other officials are involved in the cover-up of the atrocities, and they intimidate the students’ parents to keep them quiet.
