Kim Jung Hwa is a young and sincere middle school teacher, who has little interest in money. She is also extremely warm-hearted and loves to help other people. When she helps carry an elderly man’s belongings from the train to another location, the elderly man is extremely thankful. This grandfather turns out to be the extremely rich owner of a well known conglomerate. His grandson, Kang Dong Won is a quick-tempered businessman who rivals his grandfather, but in an almost comical way. In an order to “tame” his favorite grandson, the grandfather agrees to give his entire fortune to the person who marries Kim Jung Hwa, therefore forcing Kang to meet the girl whom his grandfather chose. Although at first Kim and Kang don’t get along because of Kang’s extremely cute but bad temper, their arguments bring them closer together. Kang starts to get jealous when Kim’s fellow teacher starts liking her too. Through the clever conditions that Kang’s grandfather makes, Kang starts a relationship he does not look forward too. However, what looked like a relationship that would 99% not work out, turns out to be the “perfect” match, the 1% chance.

This is a family drama. Although the storyline is predictable, I had so much fun watching it. I really love the family atmosphere here showing the viewers the importance of family’s concurrence when it comes to selecting a lifetime partner. I hope this is going to be shown in the Philippines because I am sure Filipino audience can relate to the story.

  2. 2 : Kiki Says:

hi… someone know where can i watch this drama??? i tried to get into the link that is here, but i guess that they suspended it buuuu….
    HELP!!!! thanks…

  16. 16 : LuoXiaoLing Says:

I’m not done watching this yet, I’m halfway thru. But I need to rant because it’s currently making me angry. Her family is making me angry. Her character is almost 30 years old. She’s an adult. Why does she get grounded and have a curfew? Her mother and father are a tad ridiculous. She’s perfectly capable of making her own decisions. If it were me, I would’ve ran away with him. My family is important to me also, but if I had a strong relationship with a person they didn’t approve of, for the dumbest reasons EVER, I’d have to elope. And their reasons are REALLY REALLY dumb!

I’m not knocking it, because it’s a very good drama (so far). I can understand where her family is coming from, but don’t they realize if she marries the art teacher, she’ll be unhappy? If they really cared, they would let her do what she wants.

Lucia, you can watch it here: http://www.mysoju.com/1-of-anything/

  17. 17 : LuoXiaoLing Says:

I change my opinion. I am only on part 23 and I decided I don’t like it anymore. Da-Hyun appeared to be a smart woman in the beginning, but she got a little stupid towards the middle and where I left off at. I’m falling asleep so I can’t even bear to watch the rest.

  18. 18 : joypLez Says:

  23. 23 : Shower Screens Says:

    I will come back

  24. 24 : Run Says:

Please, someone tell me: who is the actor who plays the eldest brother of Da-Hyun?

  25. 25 : BEST Says:

I enjoyed this drama very much. Sure it has many faults – the directing and editing could have been better. The sister and the lawyer’s relationship was unnecessary. Still, it’s a delight to watch the lead characters. Who doesn’t like to watch a guy wear his heart out on his sleeve?

  26. 26 : david lee Says:

I agreed with most commenters. I just love this drama especialy Hae-In & Da Da. They are fantastic together. I disadree with LuaXiaoLing. She has her opinion and she is in a minority.

    I realy really enjoyed it.

  27. 27 : toronto Says:

the worst drama i’ve seen. directing and ost is awful. acting is also not the best, except grandpa and some other elder acters (i wonder how did they accept casting in that poor drama at all).

  28. 28 : Kish Broen Says:

i think it was AMAZING, i really enjoyed it, i RECOMMEND YOU WATCH IT. ^.^

  29. 29 : mutiara Says:

    is this drama good enough?

  30. 30 : ontak Says:

i haven’t whath tis one, seems like a bad drama

  31. 31 : Dree Says:

i have watched this drama and this is a good drama, really….the romance is still touched me…hahaha…

  32. 32 : mel Says:

is this drama good to watch?

  33. 33 : eloise Says:

6 July 2010 I finished watching 1% of Anything Korean drama. This is a brilliant drama. very factual, realistic and would stay current with young and elder audience, Congratulations to the writer, director and all the actors and actresses! More power to all of them.

  34. 34 : linhdtu Says:

I love this drama. Although its plot is simple : boy and girl are thrown together by chance, they don’t like each other at first, but slowly both are changed by the other and all that is well , will end well.

I am tired of twisted ,contrived and convoluted plot that don’t work out well in the end (like Cinderella’s sister). This romance is simple ; of course the obstacles are all contrived and they are ridiculous but that is the way of these K dramas. Actually I like the ridiculous obstacles the couple meet on the way, because I can see them clearly and they don’t pretend to carry the pretentious seriousness of some other dramas I have seen.
I can then concentrate on enjoying the trials and tribulations the couple are going thru knowing full as they resolve this one, there will be one other popping up soon because there are 25 episodes to fill.
There are many, many endearing moments the main couples share on their way to the end and that is what I love about 1%.
One example : she goes on a blind date set up by Mom, and he is hovering jealously 3 feet away, scowling and making a ruckus to drive away the other guy. I mean it is utterly ridiculous but I love it just the same.

  35. 35 : diefan Says:

so do I, I love love this drama.. its funny and very romantic. LOved it! Thanks mysoju. I enjoyed it very much. One of the Best kdrama.

Great drama, i enjoy it write more 5 STARS TO EVERY ONE

  38. 38 : kiki Says:

    very good drama, love it

  39. 39 : Elvie Says:

I’ve watched this drama over and over again and still not contented. For the last 3 weeks, my eyes are glued on this drama – I even bought the DVD.

Although the plot is almost like any other dramas, the flow was different. The happy ending didn’t happen at the end but close to the end of the story – very unusual. The ending is when the grandfather explained the meaning of 1% – which really is very unusual again.

This drama is now in my top ten best k-dramas.

  40. 40 : Jae Ni Says:

This drama is a cute one. I wasn’t satisfied with the ending…I wanted to see everything come to a close, but the drama itself was adorable, cute, rather endearing and entertaining. 🙂 A definite one to watch. 🙂

  41. 41 : Via Says:

I love this drama.. love the couple.. Kang dong won and Kim jung hwa is great couple in this drama..

  42. 42 : Blondbs Says:

I am enjoying this romance, but am wondering about the man who plays Teacher Kang. I can’t find the actor’s name anywhere. Does someone in here know what his name is? I am trying to figure out what other shows he’s been on, but without his name, I’m stuck.

  43. 43 : Daniel Says:

    Teacher Kang is Im Ho

  44. 44 : shereeen Says:

i <3 this drama.. so cute

  45. 45 : izuyam Says:

well.. i dont really care how good or bad this drama is.. i just want to stare at kang dong won’s face for as long as possible.. i thank drama god that this drama has 26 episodes.. kekeke

  46. 46 : ance Says:

    where can i watch this drama? i can’t find it on youtube,dramacrazy & epdrama…

  47. 47 : ance Says:

    found it at dramafans…hehehe!
i never expected this drama…i’ve seen this before but now that i’ve watched it again, it felt a new drama for me.

i missed this kind of family and romance genre…this kind of genre now a days takes 50-100+ episodes but this drama only has 26 episodes yet it has everything…everything’s light…no violence…it’s just about life and love…if you just want to relax and enjoy a good drama…you will surely enjoy this drama. i never liked old dramas before coz i felt that its a cliche in terms of story…they are more consevative, unlike today’s dramas were the stories are more deep and complicated…but this drama is not like that. falling in love, fighting for your love and having a family are what you will experience in this drama.

thank you for sharing this drama to us!

  48. 48 : Ayun Says:

Re-watching this drama again. Miss Kim Jung Hwa and Kang Dong Won couple.
They look perfect together. Noticed that early episode Kang Dong Won kinda awkward with Kim Jung Hwa but ep 21-25 he loves to hug her and smile like real couple.
Keep smiling while watching it. It about pure love to our family n love.
9 years doesn’t made this drama old at all.

  49. 49 : bling Says:

  50. 50 : gbean Says:

I am watching it on drama fever.org. But it has really crappy english subs. I’ve only seen the first episode. I am not liking the slow delivery of their lines/reactions.

  51. 51 : andrea143 Says:

It’s really a very good drama. The plot is simple yat it leaves you wanting for more! 😀

Kim Jung Hwa is really beautiful.
Kang Dong Won – I can stare at you all my life. (haha!)

@bling & @gbean, you can watch it @ gooddrama.net. It has good subtitles though sometimes other parts are not translated (only few).
