Synopsis

This drama is the remake of the 2011 Taiwanese drama In Time With You which was staring by Ariel Lin and Bolin Chen. This Taiwanese drama won seven out of its eight nominations at the 47th Golden Bell Awards.

Something that’s right in front of your eyes is sometimes the hardest for you to see. Jang Ha Na (Ha Ji Won) and Choi Won (Lee Jin Wook) have been lifelong friends. Through thick and thin, they’ve been through many things together in the nearly 20 years of friendship, including relationships that each has had with other people. Approaching her 30th birthday, Ha Na receives an email from Choi Won that jokes about the “symptoms of premature aging”. Angry about the widely held belief that men are like grapes that turn into a fine bottle of wine as they age while women are like grapes that shrivel up into raisins, Ha Na makes a bet with Choi Won that she can get married first before they turn 35. Will Ha Na and Choi Won be able to find their true loves or have they been blind to what’s been there all along?

This time I must agree with SleepyHaJiWon. Both Hyke and TTWWNIL really disappointing though I love both lead actors.
Hyke, I couldn’t continue, no suspense/ interest/ plot boring. TTWWNIL can’t stand Jin Wook’s so called secret love. Doesn’t make sense….so many years???!!! Gosh! Too unrealistic!

    MaxT Says:

Are you sure you love both of the lead actors/actresses?

Don’t you have a name to use for posting, “who who”?

    MaxT Says:

All I can see is only “1” hater in here posting using multiple nicknames.

Don’t you have something more useful to do in your life other than whinging about other people’s private matters?

Please move on and find another drama to watch!!

@SleepyHajiWon Says, Your absence will not be missed as there are many others who are following this drama.

Sure, its boring to people who are on the look out for over the top dramatic scenes where OTPs run crazy, amok causing havoc, stories with birth secrets and all sorts of cheatings, characters possessed by pompous spirits. To those who like this drama, its becos its a realistic portrayer of how many have to go through to finally decide who should be their soul mates. Some can make a snap decision at each life’s milestone while others take a round the world trip to realize what they want. Obviously Hana and Won have taken the roundabout route and this drama traces their ‘humdrum’ journey. I’m enjoying it through and through.

    tera Says:

I have to agree that this drama was a bit disappointing as compared to the original one. The chemistry between Haji won and Lee Jin Wook was tempered down by the dialogue…i don’t know, there’s something missing in this drama, Something that ariel lin and bolin couple portrayed exceptionally. Choi won and Oh Ha Na couple seems a bit unfamiliar to me either as a couple or as friends. They look awkward and their interaction seems a little bit unfamiliar. Maybe because of the script of the setting of the drama.
Ariel-Bolin couple portrayed it wonderfully. We can feel their feeling as friends, as couple, their heartache over falling relationship and the sadness due to their separation. The actors gives audience a satisfying ride of emotion. When ariel lin cried, I cried as well and when bolin disappointed I disappointed as well, but I cn’t seems to feel that in this remake version.
But one thing that i did like in the new version was when they tempered down the scene b/w ha na and her ex-boyfriend when they get back together, no bed scene or passionate kissing scene that destroyed the viewers image-the original did that in the middle. So, I’m grateful for that

    emcee_boy Says:

I can relate with the story of this drama.. I’m a guy with a girl bestfriend and we were really close to the point where we can sleep together side by side…
We often talk about our relationship and why we don’t turn as lovers where in we both understand each other more than anyone else.. There are times where I imagined us being lovers and I felt very awkward about that… I like her so much but I don’t know if I am In Love with her…. In 2012, she went to work abroad, I was so sad during that time but I didn’t show any emotions to her when she’s about to leave because I want to send her smiling and knowing that I am really okay about it… now, she’s back for a short vacation… we’ve met 2 times since then and I am very happy about it… She’s about to leave again and I am starting to feel the same I felt a few years back…

    emcee_boy Says:

P.S. – I really had a hard time during those times adjusting to my social life because it became a habit that I am always with her in almost everything we do outside of work

    MaxT Says:

Best K-Drama of the year! The ending was superb and Ha Ji-Won looked stunning in that wedding dress. Great acting from HJW and LJW. I can’t wait to see your upcoming movie and hopefully within the next few months! Thank you for the 16 hours of non stop entertainment! 😛

  16. 316
    Snowli Says:

    @emcee_boy
Back then both of you might have fallen for each other but not realize about it (As for now, ur feeling to her haven’t changed, but her feeling, i dunno about it since didn’t hear anything from her side – u need to make sure urself since u guys have been a part for 3 years)

From what u described, in the past, in my personal opinion, ur relationship with her might be the one that people so call as love, but u guys portray it as friendship… from my perspective u guys have all the lover quality relationship, the only thing that u guys leave out is… the intimate session… that’s what make u guys describe the status as “friend” and u guys have been in a comfort zone that so scared to lose each other and that’s the thing that discourage both of you to take the relationship a step further…

Let’s think about it, what u guys did to each other were what most of lovers did (eating together, crying together, relaxing together, sharing thoughts, caring for each other, big fight but quickly got back together) in fact u guys might have much deeper relations compare to other couples…

She might feel the same too, but since u never show interest to her, then she also take her feeling back..? May be the main reason she chose to work abroad was because she knew u guys couldn’t keep it that way because soon or later, u guys have to be a part… for a man & a woman there is no where to go with “friendship” status…

This serial portray it so well, watch and get a deep thought of it…

    lee hye ae Says:

What I love about this drama is that the lead couple, along with the other characters, had their own happy ending. Even though a happy ending is already expected since this is the remake of a Taiwanese drama, I like that its Korean counterpart had its own version and interpretation of the story. I also like the “throwback moments” shown in the drama, which makes one reminisce those happy and memorable times. Lee jin wook and Ha ji won also did a good job in portraying their roles. As Choi won and Ha na, they showed that a love founded on friendship and acceptance is the best kind of love. 🙂

I’m proud of this drama although the tough rating during weekend slot, the leads and the crews done their great jobs. They did give their best and all out during the filming of this drama. I enjoyed it until the final episodes. Every drama does have their own flaws. There will be positive and negative comments.

HJW and LJW including the other supporting casts had made this drama happened and loved by fan like me and other TTWWNIL international fans.

The only disappointment is maybe the scriptwriter. But he/she could not be blame because maybe they haven’t enough time to watch the original and space to make the improvement of the remake. Overall, I LOVE this drama very much.

I like the Taiwanese version better. The Taiwanese Version have more emotional feeling between the leads. I love the second lead better in the Taiwanese Version too. I like Ha ji Won also but the interpretation between the leads in this drama is not as good as the Taiwanese. I’m a bit disappointed watching this.

    Autumn Grace Says:

I love Lee Jin Wook so much in this drama, i like him better in this than The Three Musketeers (but I started to notice him there). He is so damn hot.

So much of HJW and LJW in this drama. They are too good together. No question with HJW, she always proves her worth as an actress.

I thought this is not good because of the reviews but many times I proved that I should see the drama for myself for consideration. People have different views in every way.
