Synopsis
The Empress (Myung Se Bin) is in her early 30s, but she is still not married. Since, the 1st successor to the throne died, the royal family is in search for a new successor. Incidentally, they come to know of a young man who was in fact a son of the prince to a woman who left the Palace for her to be able to keep her pregnancy a secret. The young man’s name was Lee Hoo (Se7en), more commonly known to his friends as Kang Hoo. Lee Hoo worked as a delivery boy at a Chinese restaurant, and was known for his 7-minute maximum delivery time. Lee Hoo had been brought up as more of a punk than a prince so his habits and his way of conversing were very different from the people of royal blood. Although he had never dreamt of living in the Palace, he one day finds himself immersing himself in its grandeur and improving himself to prove that he indeed deserves to be called the Successor to the throne.
He soon finds out that not only will he be facing lessons to the path of royalty, and dilemmas of love and of stature, but he will also learn to compete for the position he had been, first and foremostly, called for.

I watched Princess hours last time. Now got Princess Hours 2 when will it be on air in Singapore? I curious how difference story created it is. Hence I never see Se7en acting before. I want to watch him!

I have already watched until eps 12 and I think that the story line of Goong S (Prince Hour) is not as good as Goong (Princess Hour), but I can see that all the lead casts have put in their best effort. Costumes and props setting are as good as Goong. Overall, I still enjoy watching it.

Heo yi jae is so………..pretty. For my opinion, i like goong s more than goong as seven is excellent with his acting and the soryline is more funny than goong. Hope to see both Heo yi jae and Seven in future dramas or movies. Thump up and all the best to all the casts in goong s.

I have just finished watching Goong S in chinese sub on youtube, I think the story line is much better then Goong’s TV series. For goong I think the comic is much better then the TV series.

I’ve seen Goong (princess hour) before Goong S is released. Viewers said that Goong S is so boring and this can be proven by its rating. It tooks me a lot of courage to actually download EP1 of Goong S which actually took 2 hours. Later I watch it…..
FRANKLY SPEAKING… GOONG S IS SUPERB!! BETTER THAN GOONG!! I’ve never seen a Kdrama series which actually makes me sit in front of the computer for a whole day long.. (EP 1-15) Se7en is so talented. Keep it up!!

I like Seven but not the lead actress Heo Yi Jae as Yang Soon Ae.
It’s really painful to see her acting. Will fast forward whenever she is in the scene. Sorry to say if I hurt fans who like her.

I have been watching the first 4 episodes of this drama and it sounds so interesting. i like the role of se7en here. (actually, i am starting to like him!)^_^–>me too i agree in the comment of Goong’s fan (no. 33)
Goong S is much better than Goong. se7en is funnier than chaegyung (Bigung Mama). but i don’t like Lee Joon. i prefer yuL in Goong than him.

I’m already done watching this novela. Well, I can say that this is a nice movie although I like princess hour (goong) better. this movie has a lot of lessons to be learned. I would like to recommend this to those people who wants to get in love and people who had problem in handling their relationship with their love ones. For the characters…The role for Se7en was perfect, he’s so handsome and I learned to love him. I prefer this kind movie. a must watch!

GOONG 2 has been planned to be aired in late 2007 or early 2008. However, there have been rumors that the original cast (from GOONG) will not return, due to some issues. This could be false; stay tunned and find out!

still watchin the kdrama but i find there are similarity with princess hours esp the teddy bears and the music seems to sound alike too. this drama is not as interesting compared to princess hours but it is still worth watching it.

I think it was a total disaster. Cannot be compared to the original Goong/Princess Hour. There was nothing that could make me hold on to it. I was at episode 14 and had to give it up, hoping something that could hold my interest but alas nothing. they should put Park Shin Hye as the lead actress, that probably could hav saved the show. The draw is only Se7en other than that it’s a drab. I need not mention the other prince????I think he badly needs a haircut!!!!!

this series is really good. i dont think its boring!it started me to like se7en so much.he’s very handsome.and he looks very cool the way he dressed.well at first i thought it was but when i watched it i got hooked on it because the story is getting interesting. and about he’s acting ??!!! well he’s fine.what do you expect guys????!!! its his first time to act….i dont think there’s a problem with that!!!everybody starting that way…..so se7en keep on FIGHTING!!!!!!!!!

Goong S is boring, so is Goong. Yoon Eun Hye is what made Goong moderately interesting and funny. Goong S lacked comedic moments; Goong had too much talking after about episode 12 and not enough comedic moments to make up for it. Se7en is still cool though, I buy his cds.

Goong S’s ratings were so low that it didn’t make it into the top 20 many times, weren’t even half as good as the original Goong. Which isn’t that surprising really, as its just a spin-off, not a sequel. But I still watched from Ep11 till the end, and sad to say I agree with the Korean viewers, its really disappointing: although there was lesser talking in Goong S than Goong, I felt there was hardly any plot to justify why both princes would give up their throne just because of a palace maid (hardly any chemistry!), and there were just too many loopholes in this plot, and the ending sucked pretty bad. I guess many people are just watching it for Se7en.

Heard many bad comments abt Goong S, so even I bought it for quite sometimes but am not eager to watch. Finally I start, to my surprise, it is quite a nice drama… the actors and actress may not be as handsome and pretty as compare to 1st Goong, however I find the story it more realistic, I finished 15 epi within 1 day, I remember in 1st Goong, there are a few scenes I find it boring when they talked abt reverge portion, but I do not have this feeling in Goong S. For those who watch half way or don’t even wanna watch should try again…. at least is a nice show compare to many others

Even though the acting was not good and the story line was kind of chessy, I like the chemistry between the two main characters. Seven is really adorable is this drama. Even though, it wasn’t successful and as good as the first one, it was still worth watching it. It has its funny moments too.

I agree with Goong S (Nov 9 comment). Give this series a try. Watching first 2 episodes is quite boring but as the story continues, curiosity of the competition will make u watch one after another.
This is totally different from Goong. Goong emphasizes more on the lovestory of arranged marriage between a royal and a commoner while Goong S tackles about the principles of choosing a prince and love clash is only second. Very enlightening, imo. Im not really particular about their acting skills since this is the first soap I watched them act so I cant compare their acting to their previous acts. But I like the pair, se7en and yi jae. For me, Se7en is like Rain. Not very pretty at first sight but becomes adoring in time.
When kang hoo was hurting and ‘escaped’ the palace to visit her mama’s tomb and soon yi was able to find him there… that is the most romantic scene for me.

The overall story was not interesting, unrealistic, over-reacted and boring. If certain part of the story had been carefully considered and the over-reacted portion to be changed. The story will be better. Moreover, Sen7 and Heo Yi Jae acting skill was still not good. I believe they are still new and if they have proper training, they can improve their skill. Don’t be too disappointed, everyone learns from mistake. Never give up easily, work harder and believe yourself can do better in your next drama.
A good example, Park Shin Hye and Kang Doo are both good in acting as they have many years experience.
Everyone as their own view concept. A good story is important as well as a good actor and actress to make the show more interestng.

Watched Goong S, it was OK but liked GOONG much more.
The first Goong kept me on my seat from the moment the episode started. There was never a dull moment even during the serious times.
Excellent interaction and chemistry amongst the actors. The story line flowed and the acting was smooth and unhindered.
Admittedly, saw the series twice and equally enjoyed all episodes.
To add, liked Se7en’s acting in Goong S. Looking forward to seeing him in more Korean dramas despite his hectic singing tour skeds.

the show was decent but wasn’t better then the first Goong. this one tend to be fun at first but got way to serious and boring. yoon eun hye’s acting made the first goong more fun to watch and added some better taste into it. like tinkerbell said, GoongPH was never boring and very fun to watch. but GoongS was boring and made me kind of want to skip some of the scenes to just get to the interesting parts.

I saw Goong and I loved it… When I heard that they were going to make a second part but with other actors I was really disappointed… I didn’t want to watch it… But then one day I was bored so I looked for it…
I realized that it was a different story and everything… And then I couldn’t stop watching it… Although it isn’t as good as the first Goong, but we have to give it some credit ’cause it entertains a lot and Se7en is really cute as Lee Hoo, I enjoyed watching it and I would do it again =)

I was too excited and tried to see it

I didn’t really liked it at all…

Compared to Princess Hours/Goong/palace it isn’t as good.
Despite the fact that theactors aren’t very pretty they are still good.
The storyline wasn’t that great either.
I think this is such a copy of GOONG.
They totally destroyed Goong with this drama.
I can’t believe they used the same characters for the same roll but in a different Drama!!!!!!
Even though this Drama is bad it’s still watchable.

I feel really bad for Se7en.. I mean everybody knows how hard worker he is as Rain.. Yeah, I just have to admit Rain has real talent as an actor as well. Too bad it didn’t work out for Se7en. I mean they had great set, director, and the team .. they got every reasons and support to make this drama a success, but there was an unexpected component.. that Se7en was as a good actor as he is in the stage…

Goong has set the standards way too high for Goong S. I mean there’s no doubt that they did try. I did find Goong S’s storyline too slow but it did have more of a meaning to it compared to Goong. Nonetheless there’s not a doubt in my mind that anyone would ever mistake the two. But Goong S was fairly well developed and Se7en did do a pretty good job, seeing as this is his acting debut, but with more training and experience he can probably tackle it. Plus hes super talented so he can do it. ALSO HES UBER GORGEOUS! X) He practically saved Goong S … not so much with the acting though, but yeah he did save the series for me.

Goong S or prince hours is one of the best dramas ever.
Amazing story-telling, direction, acting. Highly romantic n emotional. Will make ur concepts about love clearer. U will understand ur priorities better.
Its a beautiful story about true love, sacrifice n friendship, perfectly told n a happy ending.

This drama more about the royal family history, if u are like the history u can find this drama interesting. 20episodes makes me wanna skip.but story line really good. the characters are serious b,cov of royal family background so they need to speak very well(nice) person and act polite. hope u all understand the meaning of this drama. full of history and u can find a lot of moral in this drama. not just a rubish(speak) or same plot like others drama.

im a fan of goong (princess hour) but this one difinitely sucks!
actors have no chemistry and the “romance” of the characters is making my head spin and skip episodes… its ok for for the prince to marry a commoner but its not ok for the queen to marry a foreign royal blood, huh?! doesnt make sense…
very different to goong and the chemistry created by YEH and JJH’s love story…
would not recommend…

very well said bee.. this is indeed different from Goong.. the two things i feel bad about it is that the main lady character’s acting sucks.. for no matter how hard she tried to cry, not even a tear drop from her eyes.. and also, the one who portrays as Seven’s opponent.. it would be nicer if Park Shin Hye played the main character rather than Heo Yi Jae.. i think it will gain higher rates if Seven and Park Shin Hye are connected as love team in this drama.. 🙂

I don’t finish watching this drama. Coz I don’t like the leading girl here. She doesn’t fit to the role. I feel she’s boring for the role. The director mistakenly choose the girl who play the leading girl. But on the contrary, I love Se7en and Lee Joon. They’re cute! I love the two of them. But the girl, i don’t like her.
