    Hen Says:

I finally found a website with English subs for this one..Yeah! I had become vested with this drama after 12 episodes, and I really wanted to watch it. It has not disappointed as some of the more recent ones.

I have watched up to EP24-fully subbed and part of EP25. Min Joon is one of the most gullible men. He believes the story about an accident the day before the wedding…the only thing missing were the violins playing while she talked.

Rose, I think Yoo Ri realized that accepting Jae Joon, who is a nice guy, will get her back into her mother’s graces, as well as, her credit cards. Jae Joon is in no way her speed [my opinion], and definitely not falling in love with her…which she finally admits & accepts.

I like what the writer did/is doing with the four: Yi Sol/Jae Joon/ Dong Goo / Yoo Ri. The scenes after the wedding, leading up to the hospital and after were really good twists–well played.

Hee Ra and Hye Jin are the typical conniving, domineering mothers/wives from Hell with matching gullible husbands.

I wonder who Jae Joon’s real father is?

  2. 52
    Rose Says:

I agree Min Joon is stupid and gullible. He was so hot to trot to marry Rena without knowing a thing about her and now he is worried about his ex-fiancé. Didn’t it occur to him that out of the blue she shows up right after he got married. Rena is one smart lady, she should show stupid Min Joon the photo of the ex at their wedding. But, of course, he would ask his ex why she was there and he would just believe whatever she would tell him. What a stupid idiot of a man!!!

I am waiting for the bombshell to hit the fan when Jae Joon’s mother finds out he is not spending the days with Yoo Ri. Won’t that be super funny.

    Rose Says:

    Hi Hen:

I doubt if you are interested as they are past history but I did a review of the last few episodes of Stormy Woman and Apgujeong Midnight. I know you didn’t have Eng subs as well as other people. Just mentioning it should you want to check it out.

  4. 54
    HEN Says:

I am really enjoying this drama. I like all the couples, “the good and the bad” ones.

This drama is moving fast, the problem with the EX has been dealt with a nice twist. There is still a lot to play out for the couples, as well as, the individuals….REMEMBER THE BEGINNING EPISODES???

I hope this drama stays as strong as it is–now. I’m at episode 27.

  5. 55
    HEN Says:

Thanks for filling in the details for me on those two dramas. I did watch the final episodes of both.

I still think they were both disappointing dramas–all the way to the end.

  6. 56
    Mike Says:

I hope that gangster dude blackmails both of the Chaebols (sp) and gets away with it. The wealthy families in these dramas al wind up the same. I reckon most Koreans hate the real ones in real life. Ole NUT GIRL from the airline is lucky they did not tar and feather her.

  7. 57
    Rose Says:

Cute and lovable Dong Gu is going to become an alcoholic hanging out with Yoo Ri. I think you are right “Hen,” that Yoo Ri is not going to be tamed anytime soon. And silly Dong Gu joins her in drinking. He is a favorite of mine in this show.

  8. 58
    Rose Says:

Sometimes these shows are so stupid — when Hee Ra and Hye-Jin walked into the restaurant to question the lady about Rena and they tell her they are from an agency checking on Rena’s qualifications, would not a normal person ask for some identification instead of just blabbing to two complete strangers about someone’s personal life. Give me a break.

Then after the fact, the restaurant lady just happens to look up Rena and tells her she told some women about her personal life. How stupid is that anyway???!!!

If Rena was smart, she should have told Min Joon about her past life so he would know everything, and when Hee Ra tries to blackmail her about anything, Min Joon would already know about it.

And money hungry Hee Ra just doesn’t understand English at all. She never listens to what Jae Joon is telling her that he doesn’t want to inherit his dad’s company and be in charge of the hospital his mother and Hye-Jin plan on building so they can reap in more money. And she keeps saying she is doing it for Jae Joon and all his life she has been making him sick. Crazy women in these shows.

  9. 59
    HEN Says:

Hey, Mike, that gangster guy seems not-to-smart, so who knows what may happen…Is he the guy in the first episodes who gets killed?

You are so funny…”And money hungry Hee Ra just doesn’t understand “English” at all.”

I think that Jae Joon is the big story with Hee Ra. She is hell bent that he has to take over everything. Forget that her husband has another son. The two siblings seem to get along great, but she is convinced that Min Joon will kick JJ to the curb, if he inherits the company. It’s not like JJ is living such a horrible life now–and I don’t see her husband leaving him completely out of a portioned inheritance. BUT JJ has a different biological father–that only Hye-Jin knows about. The story is probably with the guy who either, died–/dumped her–/or was too poor.

I like what the writer is doing with Hye-Jin. She thought that her rough-tough bullying had guaranteed her the ideal family life–apparently she had to overcome some “step-siblings”. Now, Hye-Jin is starting to come unglued, since finding out about Kang Yi Sol,–I like it.

I’m hoping that “cute and lovable Dong Gu” and “wild child Yoo Ri” will eventually mellow each other out.

    I still like this one.

  10. 60
    Rose Says:

    Hi Hen —

Yes, Kim Do Shin is the gangster from the first episode. And I agree with Mike that I hope he extracts as much money as he can from the two evil witches that belong in a psych ward.

Psycho Hee Ra never gets it in her pea brain that she was the cause of Jae Joon’s medical problem She continues to blame Eun Sol for loosing her new medical practice, that Jae Joon never wanted, and for breaking up his wedding to Yu Ri. Jae Joon was sick way before he ever knew Eun Sol existed. She is so obstinate and hateful.

I just saw Ep 31, so I guess I have 18 or 19 more episodes off psycho Hee Ra trying to destroy Rena’s career and life. Tae Soon needs to open his eyes to Hee Ra’s evil, despicable lies, etc. etc. etc. He is so stupid believing she is the best thing in his life. Duh!!!!!

    Mike Says:

I love that gangster dude. He is so good in this role. He is putting it to his two employers and you watch: they will both get theirs. That Chef should have just come clean but then there would be no drama. The father will get revenge on that loser second wife of his when he finds out that that kid is not his AND SHE LIED about it. I cant stand that loser doctor and his money grabbing doc wife. I hope they get theirs really bad. MBC is NOT without solutions (yeah right). That does me no good. Just change back quietly and say nothing. W about losing face? Worry about important things and put the sub titles back.

  14. 64
    Rose Says:

In one of the breaks between programs on MBC I saw Yoo Ra (Goo Woo Ri) – in her K-Pop Group -” Rainbow.” MBC has K-Pop groups singing their songs in between shows. There are 7 girls in her group including her. It is nice to hear songs instead of commercials all the time.

    Ep 41 —
Did Min Joon or Jae Joon ever miss their toothbrushes????? I was hoping the father would find out about Jae Joon so he could see what an evil wife he has. Unfortunately, the dad won’t see the toothbrush in the envelop when he submits it for testing, unless for some reason he looks in the envelop. I hope the truth comes out somehow.

  15. 65
    Rose Says:

That darn fox, Hee Ra, out foxed her husband with Jae Joon’s birth with those tooth brushes, darn. I wonder if Tae Soo will ever find out the truth????

While Hee Ra is criticizing Yi Sol and Rena that they are trash, etc. etc. as she over heard them talking that Rena is Yi Sol’s mother, why does she think she is any better as she is lying to her husband about Jae Joon, and all the conniving and conning she is doing to get Jae Joon to marry Yoo Ri and run that darn hospital that he has consistently said he doesn’t’ want any part in. Plus controlling Jae Joon’s life until he finally took charge and is now finally running his life the way he wants to. Hopefully he won’t start giving in to her his mother again. Evil Hee Ra is far from perfect, the jerk.

Yi Sol and Jae Joon should both leave Korea together.

I liked what Yoo Ri said to her creep mother that “her greed was suffocating her.” Go Yoo Ri. But her stupid mother doesn’t understand anything anyway. She is like Hee Ra, they have one track minds. Control, control, control, ruin everyone else’s life and mony.

  16. 66
    Rose Says:

Does anyone watch “The Masked Singer” show on Sunday night? Yi Sol was on there and the audience voted for her. She has a beautiful voice. She is or does modeling also.

The host of the show, can’t think of his name, he was one of the dads on “Dad Where Are WE Going” said something to one of the young cute judges. Since MBC doesn’t air the show with Eng subs I don’t know what it was about, but the cute young judge was liking it. Then they got Sanduel, singer with B1A4 K-pop group involved. But she picked the other guy. He took a selfie with her and then when she was leaving the stage, the guy was following her but didn’t go far and came back.

  17. 67
    Rose Says:

They showed some of Yi Sol’s modeling photos and scenes of her in Flower of the Queen.

  18. 68
    HEN Says:

I finished watching EP #49 & #50. I really like this writer. This drama was good from start to finish. As I said before, this writer does a great job of “doling out the justice”….and she didn’t disappoint with this one. Great ending for all the characters!!!

  19. 69
    Rose Says:

In Ep 45 at the ceremony where Lena got her award, the girl group singing at the beginning is Rainbow, the group that Yoo Ra (Good Woo Ri) is part of.
They were singing their current song “Rainbow.”

The 2 dresses Rena had on at the beginning, the red one and the white one were very pretty. She has some nice clothes. The white dress that Yi Sol had on looked liked a curtain. It didn’t look good on her and the dress didn’t hang right, the hem was up, down. Wonder where they got that dress.

  20. 70
    Hen Says:

Did you notice that Hee Ra, in the latter episodes, wore 3 skirts over and over with different matronly looking blouses?

  21. 71
    Rose Says:

    HI Hen:

Nice to see you back on the scene. I always enjoy your comments.

No I didn’t notice that about Hee Ra wearing the same skirt. I think that Yoo Ra’s mother dresses better, at times, than Hee Ra. While they both have money, I guess since Hee Ra is playing an older person the clothes designer feels she should dress in that style. Unless Hee Ra selects her own clothes. But Hee Ra’s mother dresses very nice, at least I think she does. Maybe I just don’t pay too much attention.

  22. 72
    Hen Says:

    Hi Rose,
I don’t know if it is a matter of personal taste—-or the producers budget.

  23. 73
    Hen Says:

    Hey Rose,
I’ll keep checking back here. I want to know how you (and the other viewers) liked the ending.

  24. 74
    Rose Says:

I never know at times what MBC is doing????!!!! Last Saturday and Sunday they ran Ep 45 both days and the same with “Make A Woman Cry.” So today they skipped over Ep 46 and went on to Ep 47. Geez….. now I have to catch up with both shows for the 2 missed ones. How dense are they? I miss KBS so much darn.

I cannot believe Jae Joon – what is with him????? (Ep 47) He really believes his mother will stop all the evil she is doing if he runs that stupid hospital for her and the other neurotic, Hye Jin. How stupid is he???? He has no idea what she has done, what she is doing and what she will continue to do to get what she wants. Jae Joon knows what his mother put Yi Sol through to get rid of her. So far I think he is an idiot.

  25. 75
    Rose Says:

What a joke Hee Ra is — Jae Joon will do absolutely perfect without his witch conniving evil mother.

Cute little Yeong Go is smarter than Yura father. He was right on target when that idiot In Chul was preaching to Yeong Go’s father and Yang Soon on how to be a good parent. I thought little Yeong Go was right on target when he said ” why did you leave Yi Sol.” What a powerful statement — only out of the mouth of children.” So perfect.

I saw the 42nd Korea Broadcasting Prizes show tonight and Jae Joon and some other celebrities were presenters of the award. He looked really nice in his suit/tux with his bow tie. A man received an award for What Happened To My Family.” The host of Masked Singers got an award also – he used to be on Dad Where Are We Going. That was such a cute fun show. A comedian from Gag Concert, EXO K-pop group, and Infinite Challenge. A few stars received awards but most were producers or TV announcers. As there were no Eng subs I am only assuming from the video of the person that was shown as the person came up for the award.

  26. 76
    Hen Says:

So, is MBC now showing dramas with subtitles, again?

  27. 77
    Rose Says:

Hmmm…….I have the last two episodes to see this weekend, but I leave for Florida on Saturday so may have to watch them when I get back home. Not sure if I will have time to watch them prior as I also will be missing all the Korean dramas I watch. Doubt if I can squeeze them all in a few days.

I so would like to slap that smirk off Hee Ra’s face that she does all the time. Evil witch. And Jae Joon – always believes her. Duh. Hope he wakes up.

  28. 78
    Rose Says:

Where is Mike – he will be thrilled about the Eng subs. That’s great.

  29. 79
    Hen Says:

Rose, I found several websites that had the English Subs for this drama–didn’t you?

  30. 80
    Rose Says:

I finally found the time to see the last two episodes. I thought it was a good drama. I was happy with the ending.

It did my heart good to see the 2 doctor’s hit rock bottom.

However evil Hee Ra ended up back in the big house. While she said she was not happy living with her husband, etc., coming back to an empty house after he died the evil witch figured out what she had, but due to her greed for her son and ruining everyone’s life, she lost it all.

I didn’t agree with Tae Soon saying “he should have been more generous to Hee Ra, and then maybe she would not have been so greedy.” I doubt she lacked for anything being married to him.

I loved Young – Go – so cute – always coming up with different tricks to get out of going to school. It was funny when he said “who on earth made school.” I always enjoy seeing him in his roles.

I never saw the actor who played Dong-Goo. I did like him and felt sorry for him when Esol only liked him as a brother. Happy for him that he and Yoo Ra worked out.

Hen: I never lost Eng subs with MBC when everyone else lost them. I never ever had Eng subs though with the musicals, reality shows, talk shows, etc. With KBS – all of their shows have Eng subs. I don’t know if they have more money to hire interpreters or what???

And yes, I found several websites to watch the episodes I missed. Thanks for asking.
