Yoo Young Seok

Yoo Young Seok is a South Korean singer-songwriter, radio DJ and university professor. He graduated from Gyeonggi High School and later obtained a bachelor’s degree in Applied Music from the Seoul College of the Arts and another degree in Industrial Engineering from Ajou University.
He debuted in 1988 as part of the pop band The Blue Sky. The band avoided appearing on TV but their songs became quite popular in radio shows. In 1990, he released his first solo single titled "Under the Dark Sky". The band success began to decline after 1991 and in 1993 they disbanded after their 6th album titled "Final Sound". Later that year, he formed a new music project called "White" and became a popular radio DJ hosting KBS radio "FM Inkigayo" until 1996.
He also began composing songs and he gave them to other singers and established himself as an entertainer. In 1998, White disbanded and a year later he formed “White Bank” along with Jeong Si Ro of the group Bank.
In 2000, he hosted an SBS radio show for one year and has released solo albums in 2001 and in 2006. In 2007 he was the musical director of the musical "Love in Capuccino" and he has now focused on being a TV personality appearing in "King of the Mask Singer" as a regular panelist since episode 33 and as a music judge in several competitions.
