Sunny (Girls’ Generation)

Lee Soon Kyu, known by her stage name Sunny, is an American-born Korean singer, dancer, DJ, MC, promotional model, actress, and member of the South Korean girl group Girls’ Generation.

Sunny was born in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Kuwait while she was still an infant. Her family moved to South Korea around the time of the 1991 Gulf War. Sunny took the lead role in the Korean production of the Broadway musical "Catch Me If You Can" during 2012 and 2013, where her performance received a positive critical review and was nominated for Best New Actress in the 6th ‘The Musical Awards’.

Between 2014 and 2015, Sunny hosted the MBC radio show’s FM Date. She won the "Rookie Radio DJ Award" at the year-end MBC Entertainment Awards.
