Shin Yeon Ah is a South Korean singer, professor and member of BIG MAMA (빅마마). She graduated from Inha University with a bachelor’s degree in French Language an Literature and later obtained a master’s degree in Popular Music Production Management from Dankook University. She made her debut as part of BIG MAMA in 2003 with their 1st studio album "Like the Bible".
The group disbanded in 2012 but made a comeback in 2022 with the release of the album "Born" and is currently active. She is currently a professor at Howon University as the dean of the university’s K-pop department that was established in 2019. She is the creator of the girl group AZER formed of Howon University students and she prepared and conducted all the courses and also participated in the chorus sessions directly for their debut song "Elegante".
