Seo Young Ju is a South Korean vocalist and sub-guitarist of the band Nerd Connection. He graduated from Yonsei University with a bachelor’s degree in Electric Engineering. While in college, he was part of a band but only doing vocals. He decided to learn guitar when he was completing his mandatory military service. He appeared as a contestant in "I Can See Your Voice 6" and "Sing Again". In 2017 he joined three other musicians he met since his college days and formed Nerd Connection, an indie band inspired by British pop and alternative rock music from the 1990s and early 2000s. The band debuted in 2018 with the single "Hymn of the Birds" and that same year won the EMERGENZA World Band Competition and qualified for the Taubertal Festival in Germany. All members signed with indie label "Your Summer" in 2021.
