Rhee Dae Eun

Lee Dae Eun, known as Rhee Dae Eun as he prefers to stylize his last name as "Rhee" instead of "Lee", is a South Korean retired pitcher. He graduated from Shinil High School and in 2007 he was selected by the Chicago Cubs as part of the Major League Baseball entry draft. He moved to the United States and remained in the minor league system of the Cubs from 2008 until 2015 without ever playing a single game for senior team, only reaching Triple-A. He then moved to Japan where he spent 2 years with the Chiba Lotte Marines of the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), before returning to South Korea to serve his mandatory military service pitching for the National Police Agency team. In 2019, he was selected by KT Wiz and after one season playing as a starting pitcher, he became the team’s closer in 2020. He married rapper Truedy in 2021 and, surprisingly, announced his retirement at the age of 33 on January 2022.
