Park Jung Bum

Park Jungbum (1976, South Korea) graduated from Yonsei University with a major in physical education. He debuted with the short film Templementary (2000) before enrolling at Dongguk University’s Graduate School of Video. In 2008, he released the short film 125 Jeon Seung-chul. This film would form the basis for his feature debut The Journals of Musan (2010), which won a Tiger Award. His second feature Alive (2014) also screened at IFFR, and won the Young Critics Award at Locarno as well as the Jury Grand Prize at the Asia Pacific Screen Awards. In 2019, Height of the Wave won the Special Jury Prize at Locarno.
