Kim So Yi, born as Kim So Yeon in Hong Kong, is a South Korean actress, singer, composer and lyricist. Her childhood was spent in many overseas countries because of her travelling diplomat father. They returned to South Korea when she was in middle school. She graduated from Korea University with a bachelor’s degree in Chinese language and literature.
Kim joined showbiz in 1994 as a VJ. She made her singing debut with girl group "T.T.Ma" in 1999. After their disbandment in 2002, she switched to acting. In 2005, she made her screen debut in the horror mystery movie "The Wig".
