Kim Jong Wan is a South Korean singer-songwriter and member of the rock band NELL. He graduated from Hanyoung Foreign Language High School and later attended Dankook University but dropped out of the Western Language and Literature program. He moved to Switzerland in middle school and decided to learn to play the guitar as he had a hard time making friends, so he spent learning nearly 15 hours per day. He returned to South Korea in his third year of high school where he met Lee Jae Kyung and Jung Jae Won and after a while, decided to name their band Nell and began activities in 1999 and remain active until now. He is in charge of vocals and guitar, and depending on the song, he can take keyboards as well. He is in charge of writing and composing all of NELL’s songs.
