Jo Seung Woo is a South Korean actor and musical star. When Seung Woo was a student of Dankook University, he was persuaded to join auditions for “Chunhyang” and ended up winning with competition rate about 1,000 : 1. After debut with the film, he began his musical career.
Seung Woo accelerated the popularization of Korean musical market by creating ‘Jo Seung-woo Syndrome’ with a hot performance in the musical “Jekyll and Hyde”. In 2005, he was more recognized for his outstanding acting skills in the film “Marathon” and at age of 26, he won Best Actor Awards at various film festivals at home and abroad. He praised as an actor with diverse acting spectrum through his dramatic transformation in the musical “Hedwig” and in 2006, established himself as one of Chungmuro’s representative actor due to his unbelievable age and acting skills in the movie “Tazza”.
