Hanni is a Vietnamese-Australian member of the girl group NewJeans.
On July 9, 2021, Hanni made a guest appearance on BTS’s "Permission to Dance" music video. She was given the nickname “Cherry” by fans because, at the time, little was known about her.
On July 21, 2022, NewJeans released a pre-debut music video featuring Hanni for their song "Attention". They officially debuted on August 1, 2022, with the EP New Jeans.
