Chung Jung Yong is a retired South Korean soccer player. He played for Kyungil University between 1988 and 1992. Professionally, he played for E-Land Puma between 1993 and 1997. In 2016 he became the coach of the South Korea U-17 squad and in 2017 he became the coach of the South Korea U-20 team. The team reached the final of the FIFA U-20 World Cup but lost to the Ukraine 3-1. He was named the 2019 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Coach of the Year. In 2019, he became manager of Seoul E-Land.
