Bang Seong Ja was Born in 1939.
While working as an elementary school teacher after leaving Daegu Normal School, she was caught in the eyes of director Choi Hoon and entered the film industry by appearing in ‘A Sad Saturday’ (1960). She made her debut, with Nam Mi Ri, Son Mi Hee, and Cha Yu Mi, who debuted at the same time, they raised expectations as new young stars, She appeared in many films such as ‘Only for You’ (1962), ‘Times of Love and Hatred’ (1962), ‘Can’t Forget’ (1969), etc., and played the female protagonist of melodramas such as; ‘The Best Bride and A Plain Young Man’ (1962), ‘The Boss’s Daughter is an Old Maid’ (1963), ‘How to Manipulate Men’ (1963),
She left her film industry in 1972 for a gun-related scandal, and in 1989 she even appeared in Moon Yeo Song’s ‘The Spring of Weeds’.
