“Exhuma” Surpasses 9 Million Moviegoers In Less Than A Month

Less than a month into its run, “Exhuma” is already the 25th most-watched Korean film of all time!

On March 17, the Korean Film Council announced that as of the day before (March 16), “Exhuma” had officially reached a total of 9,012,758 moviegoers.

Not only is “Exhuma” the first film of 2024 to hit the 9 million mark at the box office, but it is also the first Korean occult horror film ever to reach the milestone.

Additionally, “Exhuma” has now overtaken the 2014 smash hit “The Pirates” to become the 25th most-watched Korean film in box office history.

“Exhuma” was first released on February 22, meaning that it took just 24 days to surpass 9 million moviegoers—a record three days faster than that of “12.12: The Day,” which was Korea’s biggest box office hit of 2023.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Exhuma”!
