Synopsis
This drama is about a elementary teacher of the 6th grade, Ma Yeo Jin (Ko Hyun Jung) and her students who are reveling against her.
Teacher Ma is very realistic and to her elementary students, she shows how tough it is to live the world. Instead of being a shield for her students, she herself becomes the authority. She often pushes her students to the edge by blackmailing and mischief-making.
Whole class of 6-3 (class 3 of the sixth grade) is rebelling against teacher Ma’s educational attitude which is incomprehensible. Sometimes they would betray each other, sometimes they help each other and gradually they realize secret of the reality and make on their own views of the world. This kind of setting of the drama is totally new compared to the previous drama where the teachers were always the protectors of their students. (source)

June 18th, 2013 at 5:27 pm
This drama is adorable and so are the kids:) I was just watching Kim Hyang Gi’s movie with Yoo Seung Ho the other day and just so stunned by how much she has grown up.
June 21st, 2013 at 10:23 pm
Wow, her teaching method is so harsh, I don’t think I want to have a teacher like this for myself!? Scary.
June 24th, 2013 at 2:31 am
This is a very different drama. I’m enjoying the children’s performances. Although, initially the teachers methods made me angry. This is too early not to give her the benefit of the doubt. I’m inclined to believe this teacher is trying to make their weaknesses into strengths Showing them how to stand up for themselves and their classmates. Case in point the boy who was being bullied. It was heartbreaking to see him get beat up but he became stronger and lost his fear of his bullies. In the classroom his schoolmate defended him and shoes him he was not alone that he had friends that cared. A boy considered to be dumb and a clown actually smarter than he is given credit for. A very interesting twist to the school theme

Watching episode 1 for the second time I noticed something that whizzed by me the first time:
Ha na’s pencils are broken, but in such a way that it’s not apparent they are broken until she tries to use them to take the test. Likewise, it’s not obvious that the lead in the mechanical pencil is broken until she tries to write with it. Ha na inadvertently swept her pencil case off her desk onto the floor when Oh Dong-Goo (annoying boy) startled her. And we, and she, and the other students, assume the pencils were broken then.
But were they?
When the teacher enters the classroom for the first time, when all the students are in the auditorium, the teacher walks the aisles of the empty classroom (Episode 1, begin at 12:33). At one point the teacher partially picks up Ha na’s pencil case (begin at 13:17)–and then the scene cuts to the auditorium. We don’t see or know for sure if the teacher picked up the pencil case, or if the teacher broke Ha na’s pencils.
Maybe she did, maybe she didn’t, we may never know, but what other reason could there be for that scene?
And if the teacher did break the pencils, was it a random act, or did she already know it was Ha na’s desk and pencil case?

And does that classroom really not have a pencil sharpener?

I watch the first ep of this drama and the moment that child pee on her self I complete hated not only the teacher but could not stand watching anymore because I really don’t think a person like that should be called a teacher

Great Drama !!!
July 6th, 2013 at 10:00 am
I have read that sinopsis,I think this drama is different and I curious how the end come??
July 9th, 2013 at 9:33 am
I don’t see how this show is so low in ratings. Queen’s Classroom is very good. The kids and the teachers all do a great job of acting in this. Between the first show and this new revision I would say the 2013 version is better.
I find it surprising it will only be 16 episodes. I was hoping this show will go into the the 20’s.
I really think they need to keep this kind of show alive. This really teaches kids good things. The teacher can be a bit mean at times but it teaches them what real life is like. It not all rainbows and candycanes on the way to work. I do think kids should be kids but they need to realize that the world is a dangerous place and when they get older they will have to fend for themselves against sharks out for blood.

i love this drama albeit i often cry..it teaches me a lesson..forcing a student to learn is a kind of punishment..!
July 11th, 2013 at 5:43 pm
You have to watch this!!!the story is so touching..makes me cry indeed..hehehe
July 12th, 2013 at 3:03 am
I still like this drama though I started watching others and strayed from this one. I did watch some of the Japanese version, which I think is scarier than this one. There was a reason why the teacher was so mysterious. Kind of upsetting but possible.
Wonder if she’s human like a previous poster said. What is the connection with the butterfly? This teacher lets the children deal with the situations that arise in the classroom. They deal with each other well in the long run. Yes the bitter lesson is that life is unfair So maybe understanding this early on will help them fight for what’s really important in their lives

This is a fantastic drama. The antithesis to political correctness. Indeed it kicks PC out the door like the pompous pretentious wretch that it is.
July 15th, 2013 at 3:51 am
The teacher is not human? If she is, she is receiving supernatural assistance.
If it wasn’t for the supernatural thing, this would make for a smashing social commentary. However it works well as is. There are no cringeful moments. The usual kdrama plot devises are given a rest and we are left with straight forward story telling.
I’m only a few episodes in and loving every bit of this drama.

great drama,i cry a lot.. the teacher makes the kids to be realistic, deal & solve problem themselves.. This drama shows about true friends.. why the broadcast rating is low?this should be at 1st place, Is it because there’s no adult romance scenes?

You will hate the teacher on the initial episodes but you have watch the everything from beginning until end and you will understand the point of the story. Very touching and a lot of life lessons to learn. I cried on most of the episode. This is a very good drama indeed.

August 3rd, 2013 at 11:34 am
Those who have not watched from 1st till the end, will have no idea what the whole story line is all about.
Those who got bored with the first few episodes shows how they judge the drama.
This has been one of the best school drama ever since “God of Study”.
Queen of Classroom has shown the reality side of life. It’s not just about school only but the overall society.

Enjoyed this drama immensely. A true gem. I can’t help thinking how lonely the teacher struck me. Too bad she wasn’t befriended by her peers. Especially after they knew how much she cared for her students. She pretty much wore a mask to everyone while making an impact on both children and adult’s lives. Like she said a teacher is a guide. The butterfly? I can only guess. For me it represented anyone spreading their wings searching for a happy life. This drama is well worth the time it took to watch. Enjoy
August 5th, 2013 at 1:34 am
I wonder why this drama had a low ratings? But, i think the important is that how this drama give important lessons about life. The teacher is strict, cold-hearted and insensitive.. Vut behind those is a teacher that really cares her students, and afraid to loss them. She has her iwn way of teaching not just by the book but the way of life. 🙂
August 6th, 2013 at 8:27 am
This is an excellent k-drama, not because it has a social message, but because it contains all the usual ingredients of a good story: engaging characters and a sequence of connected events which takes those characters and you on a roller-coaster ride. The final scene in the final episode is as satisfying and as lingering as in any drama. American viewers should understand that the social message which is indeed in this drama is directed at the pressure-cookers represented by Japanese, Korean and other East Asian schools and parents. In the US, we have the opposite problem. As an American, I also find the worry about being an “outcast” misguided.

Great show! one of my favorite for this year <3 I highly advise it.
I cried a lot during this show even more than I've ever cried over a drama (sad)!
I cried of both happiness and sadness. it sort of reminds me of my 6th grade. I totally digg this drama Show , Story , Caracters , Cast , OSTs everything. <3 <3
A whole class cried and stood in respect for their amazing teacher wow really! I would really wanna have such a great teacher who really cares about me and to whom I would stand in appreciation and respect.

If every school have teacher like this this world would be a great place. Life goals should not be limited as high results or attend to a great university or have a good job.
