Okay…I was taught to respect the elderly, but the matchmaker of fate grandpa is trying to get on my nerves!!! Na Yeo Ok has been having a hard time for YEARS in her role as a filial wife to a royal jerk of a husband and evil witch of a mother-in-law, not to mention the lazy sloth sister-in-law who doesn’t even wash her own undies (imagine E. Munch’s painting entitled ‘Scream’) and Go Soo Nam is having a hard time for a few months and its considered a travesty! PAA-LEASE! Give me a break screenwriter! NO! Give us all a break and let Yeo Ok have some long term happiness with Hyun Woo! Truth be told…that royal jerk of a husband will do fine for…hmmmm…I’ll say about 1 year. Then, he’ll get comfortable when he knows she’s comfortable, then he’ll return to his truth self again. Only this time, he won’t let her know he’s cheating. He’ll go to the karaoke bars to get his groove on!

I feel better now that I’ve gotten that out! This drama is so wonderfully written. In ep. 14 when Soo Nam is parked in front of Madame’s home, a stick of chalk appears and he draws on the ground and begins to play hopscotch which we can tell that he hasn’t exercised in a while because it becomes too much for him…HILARIOUS!

In ep. 13 or 12 when Soo Nam lunges at my ‘sweetie’ Hyun Woo who uses a Ju Jitsu hold on him…I laughed and with hands clasped to my chin, batting my eyelids with my heart a flutter thought…my hero (swoon)! Now if you believe that, I have some land to sell you in Gangnum, and I don’t even live in SK (hehehe)! Actually, that scene had me acting as if I was in a sports arena cheering for my fav team! Go Hyun Woo…Go! Ohhhh…I just love this drama. It’s hilarous!

Now if we can only do something about Vicky-longstocking! Any suggestions? Why…oh…why does she ‘NOW’ want to become a part of the customer care team! This child is not only clingy, but needy and seedy. I fault Soo Nam because Vicki-icky-pippi-stocking told him at the hospital after the accident that if he really…get it…reeeaaally doesn’t want to be with her anymore, she’ll leave and go back to Sweden. Well, that royal ‘jerk’ didn’t even open his mouth! Of course, he told her to not make him look bad in Gi Chan’s mother’s eyes, but of course, she doesn’t believe it because…its his fault getting Vicki-cling wrap-pippi-stocking so emotionally wrapped up into him in the first place! So…wade it out, buddy…wade it out and stay with Icky-sticky-pippi longstocking…please!

i just finished episode 7…everything is getting complicated…i just wished that they would just go their separate ways so soo nam can love that irritating girl and yeo ok can go back to her 1st love…i don’t know what will happen yet coz there’s a lot of episode to catch up, for now, that’s what i think….:)

this drama is pretty funny, but sometimes i really hate that couple from all those bickering…they discover something good with each other then starts shouting at each other again…is that what a normal married couple always do?

must persevere…so i can catch up!

  3. 103
    usa-mary Says:

@ance: Answer to your question, “…is that what a normal married couple always do?” Well, it varies because not all couples reasons for getting married is the same. All couples will disagree and argue to some extent. It depends on the level of maturity of each individual and how they handle their emotions, and their approach to emotional issues. Liking a person takes higher presidence than being ‘in love’ with a person to me because that kind of love can be fleeting and impulsive. The only exception is when each person in their awareness, practices ‘unconditional love’ which is the ultimate love. Understanding and putting in effort is associated with that practice of love.

  4. 104
    ance Says:

thanks for that! i noticed that they always show married couples fighting like in Can’t Lose…or couples that ignore each other, like those chaebol couples…i know that dramas are somewhat reflection of real life, that’s why i asked if that’s what a normal married couple always do, coz if it’s like that i thought there’s something wrong with my marriage, coz we never fight like that…hehehe!

i finished episode 14 last night…i feel that yeo ok will die, like what happened in her past life. i also think that she deserves to end up with hyun woo coz i think it will be hard for her to come back into soo nam’s family…especially with all those misunderstandings and ungrateful in-laws. i also like that soo nam & ki chan’s relationship is improving coz that’s how should a father & son relationship is suppose to be…

now i’m torn who i want yeo ok end up but its a 60% for hyun woo and 40 % for soo nam…i also feel that victoria is super-clingy…i’m so irritated by her…she’s beautiful, but i think she should move on…she can still find another Oppa that will take care of her…

  5. 105
    usa-mary Says:

Alright writer!!!! Enough is enough! Go Soo Nam is sincerely making th effort to mend his ways and act better towards Yeo Ok…and that’s all well and good! Victoria is trying to friendly up to Yeo Ok…that’s also well and good too, because forgiveness is the door way to healing. BUT…TO HAVE YEO OK NOT HAVE LONG TO LIVE…is just plain TICKING ME OFF!

Granted, I laughed a lot in many episodes, but ep. 15 is just too much! I’ve done so well by not even tearing up, but if Yeo Ok dies, not having been loved and cherished like she deserves to be…that JUST WON’T DO AND IS JUST PLAIN WRONG! HECK! If she dies period…THAT WON’T DO EITHER! Those two entities from another life need to stop their butting in and shenanigans. I just don’t like sad dramas, period!

@ance: It was one thing to have Yeo Ok’s as a former geisha die, I didn’t really know her. But not Yeo OK!!! Come writer, she has a child! Well, I still want her to be with Hyun Woo, and would like for Victoria to head back to Sweden. But, since Soo Nam agreed with his mother about Victoria (he agreed right away-that didn’t take a lot of coercing), UGH, YUCK, PEW-WEE…I guess that person is a wrap for that family! Plus, I could tell by the tone in Soo Nam’s voice whenever he and Victoria crossed each other’s path in the corridor of the hotel that he missed her. He never, ever got her out of his system, and really didn’t even try. I agree about Victoria. She’s clingy and unrelenting when it comes to her the emotional hold she has towards Soo Nam! Oh well, I really don’t want to have my tissue ready…I really don’t!

    ogrenji Says:

everytime i watched the ohh lala couple eps i only think about how ki chan feels when he sees his parents fight in front of him and get divorced, and seemed a little abandoned by the two of them after the divorce -____- … pity the child ..

btw eventhough i think every child might want their parents to be together again,i root for hyun woo…the chemistry is greater than with soo nam hehe ^^

  7. 107
    usa-mary Says:

Who’s Funny: Go Il Ran and Kang Jin Goo…their meeting for the 2nd time and drinking, AGAIN!!! Wasn’t the first time enough! Jin Goo is living in his own euphoric, fantasy world! Especially, since its the first time he’s probably been with a woman and now he wants to get married to Il Ran who he’s driving crazy, while her mother is literally over joyed about the matter! hehehe Just as long as Jin Goo has a good job, making good money, and wants her good for nothing, lazy daughter…he’s good to go! Bad alcohol, bad joo!

What’s Funny: When Soo Nam saw Jin Goo in his livingroom and Jin Goo thought that Soo Nam was in the Philippines, their shocked facial expressions were absolutely hilarious! I almost hollered from laughter when Soo Nam asked his sister if Jin Goo was the one she was out with all night (nooooo Il Ran, the runny mascara, barely-there traces of smeared lipstick, and uncombed hair didn’t give it away) and Jin Goo (with his silly self) responded how the moment they spent together was very special to him (blushing). Soo Nam couldn’t stop blinking his eyelids as in disbelief. He began blinking them so fast and long, that I couldn’t stop laughing.

Funny Locale: Am I the only one that noticed whenever someone goes to the hospital ER, that its the same 3 people who run out from the ER with the gurney? Its always 2 men, along with the same ER nurse! For some reason, I noticed it. Maybe because I was trying not to get too emotional over Yeo Ok when Hyun Woo just couldn’t leave her home and went back to check on her. Wow…that was a tough scene to get through! For Hyun Woo to not be her destiny (according to the bumbling 2), he is much more in tune with Yeo Ok than the man that she was married to for 10 years! Hyun Woo knows her through and through.

Okay writer! Episode 15 and 16 are not easy to take at all! Come one now! You are the only one that can change this around for Yeo Ok, with just a few strokes of your pen or pencil. While you’re at it, please use your ink pen to ‘FIRE’ those 2 bumbling idiots from the after-life. You know the goofing up folks from Yeo Ok and Soo Nam’s before-life! Better yet, could you just use your eraser on them!!! Thank you!

    usa-mary Says:

This drama evokes every emotion known to mankind. Most of the time, its so funny that you will hardly be able to stand it…so, I won’t be a spoiler and will just let you find out for yourself. Also, unfortunately, some of the emotions evoked are not so good towards certain people who will remain nameless! hehehe Inclusive of the EXCELLENT acting is the most beautiful decor and fashion statement making galore!

Anyway, it is definitely the MOST ENTERTAINING one, yet! There are some scenes that made me laugh so hard until I had tears in my eyes! I hate to see it end. Hopefully, the ending will be a good one! DO YOU HEAR ME WRITER!!! hehehe

  10. 110
    usa-mary Says:

Believe it or not…the cutest couple so far in this drama is the most unlikely ones…Go Il Ran and Kang Jin Goo. They both are so funny, too, and will make a cute (hilarious) couple. I just sensed that she was going to get caught by drinking too much joo and that she did! Yet, its not a bad thing. Jin Goo will dote on her like a crazy in love man that he is!

Things are looking better in ep. 17…well at least so far. Let’s see what ep. 18 holds for us…like Yeo Ok and her oppa Hyn Woo! mmmmWAH! I’m still blowing kisses at that man! hehehe

  14. 114
    usa-mary Says:

Well…the only thing I’ll say is that…FORGIVENESS is healing! Plus, writer’s choice.

Oh…one more thing might I add:

P.S. Hyun Woo…I’ll see you in America! Works out fine for me! hehehe

Now saying that made me HAPPY!!! LOL!

  15. 115
    Syrena Says:

What! She didn’t end up with Hyun Woo.

The writer (s) of this drama has failed miserably.

I won’t bother finishing it then.

Thanks a million for the advance notice/ spoilers everyone. You’ve just saved me from wasting any more time on this one.

Now I know why the ratings are so low. Well deserved!

  16. 116
    Rubysing Says:

Against all hope, I was really shipping Hyun Woo with Yeo Ok – he deserves to live happily with her and fulfill the promise he made to her when they were young. Plus the way he wooed and cared for her was so sweet and gentle, unlike the loud Su Nam. So disappointed with the ending. Seems so silly to me that she settled for second-best 🙁

  17. 117
    Emily Says:

I really want to kill the screen writer when I see the ending.
So Yeo Ok said she did not want to be thankful in every breath to the person she hate the most before the operation, she said she want to live because of Hyun Woo, and then, afther she must be thankful to GSN, she love him????????
    Is this reasonable?
Doesn’t she have any mercy to Hyun WOO
I think bost the director and screen writer are mad.
I wish I’ve never watched the ending.

  18. 118
    unknown unknown Says:

This drama started so well and I had many good laughs during the earlier episodes. Thereafter, it went downhill becoming an unbelievable melodrama…so sad. I only watched till the end because I always liked the female lead Kim Jung Eun (since early days). Somehow the ending leaves a viewer disappointed…what went wrong really? I can understand why most people hated Fashion King’s ending but why does Ohlala Couple’s ending felt lousy despite the supposedly “good ending”? Something to ponder over….

  19. 119
    usa-mary Says:

Well…eventhough I hoped for the best when it came to Hyun Woo and Yeo Ok getting together, there are always tell tale signs which give away the ending.

Some writers just love to take us on an emotional rollercoaster prelude until we rich the end of the ride which is….total disappointment. Okay…what’s next. Anyone have any good suggestions. No tear-jerkers, please! Thank you! Boy, I miss Mysoju and their synopsis categories!

    Diane Says:

I agree if this is not the best drama, but i think the ending is good enough. so nam & yeo ok should be together. I feel sorry for hyung woo, too, but he has a big heart. he will find someone in the US. :-). What i like about this drama is that there are a lot of moral messages for a family.

  22. 122

    ugh… so frustrating…

  23. 123
    usa-mary Says:

@unknown unknown: Thank you…I will do just that!

About this drama…in the beginning, eventhough we could just strangle Go Soo Nam…well maybe only I thought that…there were so many funny scenes. Like when Yeo Ok helped her friend confront the other woman who was messing around with her skirt chasing attorney husband. That huge butcher’s knife and talk of drawing blood, dying right on the spot was all she wrote! Then, after the soul switch…like what I call the awakening (scenes in the hospital)! I laughed so hard and long that I’m going to rewatch that if for those scenes alone. Next, getting hit with beans by the monk…priceless, and last but not least…trumpets sounding…the running into the tree! Only a man could come up with such a bright idea as that! hehehe (smile)

Anyway, there were other scenes that were funny, yet these stood out the most to me!

To whomever comes after us to watch this drama…it is well worth the watch!

  24. 124

@unknown unknown: I just checked out the synopsis for I Miss You, and I’ll gladly pass on watching that one! Too much d-r-a-m-a for me! Thanks anyway!

    Syrena Says:

    What an ending!

I’ll consider it as one of the worst endings I’ve every watched in Korean dramaland.

    What were the writers thinking?

Your ratings have proven that despite the very good actors, the story itself has killed it.

I just completed brief re-watch of the hospital scene after Yeo Ok discovered they’ve been switched. I’ve laughed myself to tears. This is one of the most funniest scenes involving other people in this drama. The patients and visitors are soooo funny that it will also leave anyone who watches it in tears, too!

@128-unknown unknown: Happy New Year to you, too and to all the Ooh La La viewers! Well, I haven’t check3e out C-Alice yet, but I did read various synopsis’ on I Miss You and will definitely pass. I’m not a fan of any melodramas. Truthfully speaking, I really didn’t care for Ooh La La Couple becoming a melodrama midway my watching it. Yet, I perservered until the end. That’s one of the main reason’s that I never cared for soap operas here in the U.S. I will check out C-Alice synopsis. Thanks again.

I’m going to do a rewatch of Ooh La La Couple again. I miss the rude awakening of the hospital scene, the running into the tree to recreate the accident scene, and the mouth full of beans from getting hit with what seems like pounds of them as if a form of exorcism to switch their souls back!

    Sweetpeaga Says:

I have to say that although there were moments I laughed out loud, this is one drama I absolutely hated and will never, ever watch again. How the wife took back her cheating, abusive husband is beyond me. She had a first love that truly loved her dearly and she chose to stay with a man who had to respect for her at all. He moved his mistress into his wife’s old apartment that she kept as a rental property. She had the unpleasant surprise of being in the apartment as his wife made love–in the bedroom with another woman. Sorry, but why would you put that trash back in your life. Not only was the husband abusive to her, but his entire family. I stopped watching and checked in later to see the last episode hoping beyond hope that she would chose that man that loved her more than he did himself and put her feeling first. Unfortunately, writers love to emphasize that women should stick with no good men. The ratings tell the story. It opened in 3rd and 5th position only to end around 19th and 20th position. The actors were top notch, but the story was not.
