Synopsis
This drama is based on the 2015 Chinese web series Go Princess Go, which is an adaptation of the novel The Promotion Record of a Crown Princess (太子妃升职记) by Xian Cheng.
This drama is about a man living in modern times whose soul gets trapped in the body of a queen from the Joseon Dynasty. It will tell the story from a refreshing perspective while showcasing a new type of genre as it takes on the fight against gender stereotypes.
In modern age, Jang Bong hwan (Choi Jin Hyuk) works as a chef at the President’s Blue House. He has a free spirit, but his spirit somehow finds its way into the body of Queen Cheorin (Shin Hye Sun) in the Joseon period. King Cheoljong (Kim Jung Hyun) is a gentle and easy going person outwardly but having a different side also. Queen Sunwon (Bae Jong Ok) the late King Sunjo’s wife, wields true power in the country and has relegated King Cheoljong to a figurehead. Kim Jwa Geun (Kim Tae Woo) is Queen Sunwon’s younger ambitious brother.

Shin Hye Sun is a great actress.
Acting like a man in a woman’s body is very difficult but she does a convincing job.

well from the story really does not far from another body switch like Oh My Ghost and Big, however sometimes they don’t much solve how the body convert to its origin owner.
but so far, i have enjoyed the latest 4 ep and it’s hilarious to find SHS as guy inside by women outside, and as expected she’s truly talented actress since then. anyways can’t wait to watch more eps and how it turns out with the King as well.

the way of transferring the soul to the body is the same in various drama titles, only different stories. but in the end how the soul returns to the original body makes no sense, sometimes absurd weheehe

I have watched almost all top kdramas (wide range of historical, comedy, fantasy, even long non-cable dramas etc), and never have I been so excited and restlessly curious about a story until this drama and episode 12!! The expectation is high, I hope it manages to end well.

It was one of the most interesting, exciting, romantic Historical drama this year. I really felt this drama was most outstanding among so many . The lead actor and actress were both damn good and should be awarded as they really were so good that I enjoyed every moment of this storyline.
