    sara Says:

So it will be dark love. Reaching to the heart of darkness just to save the one you worship. This is really a very deep, heavy concept for a K-drama. I love if it goes to classic literature’s love direction.

  2. 702
    bebe Says:

I like “Missing You” more than nice guy even though I was only half way done with nice guy. Not too crazy about it, but give it a try since everyone say is good. I think Missing you is more of my type drama. Love all the cast. I think harry is the killer. My only hope is to have a happy ending if not, I will still finish up the drama, because for a very long long time I haven’t watch a sad and intense drama like this.

  3. 703
    KDaddict Says:

This is a dark drama, so we know the theme of love here isn’t going to be rainbows n unicorns.
I think this drama has more depth than most. If it goes in the direction that I predict it will in #690, it will be a meaningful contemplation of the concept of ‘boundless love’, not that ‘boundless love’ is necessarily healthy. That it is unselfish makes it precious; If that it is obsessive owing to a guilty conscience (JW) or possessive need (HJ) would make it pathological. Love comes in all kinds of guises.
I believe Nice Guy began by bouncing that ball, but then it rolled away, thus missing/foregoing the chance to explore the difference between healthy selfless love, and unhealthy obsession, self-sacrificial tendencies notwithstanding.

  4. 704
    scottine Says:

hope its not soo yeon.. maybe someone who did that, its either eun joo(she already meet the abductor) .maybe before soo yeun arrived, the killer is already not there. ,maybe its not really soo eun bec. in the scene the person who put red towel to the bad guy is very relax unlike soo yeun when she saw the abductor she feel scared and nervous ..very diff. to the person we saw in the peel hole.

  5. 705
    Fannie Says:

So far, i love how the story is progressing.i think SY did it. Kdaddict is correct that she has the reason to kill the rapist and its up to the guys who love her to protect her from prison and harassment, and prove of to what extent they willing to go for her.it’s a pity that the ratings are down but it still a long way to go.

    fineart Says:

I decided to watch missing you after seeing nice guy did a good job as melodrama. Also, i like main leads from another shows and thought they have nice chemistry together and it will be worth to watch them in a same show.. I think, this drama must concentrate on how hard to be loving someone after having such a bad memories from childhood because, most of drama writers in Korea really good on writing romance and comedy shows than crime ones. I’ve seen it in to many kdramas that they really cannot write crime scenes successfully even the very basic ones. If you’re a good crime, thriller movie lover, you’ll understand what i mean by that. I lower my expectations for crime scenes and investigations if the movie’s genre is not crime, thriller but in this show, there is no possibility to ignore that kind of scenes because main lead is a homicide detective. Until now, we’ve already seen enough bad written, nonsense crime scenes that made me think, if they’re written by a kid. in my opinion, Writers must give up on crime and go with how these 3 will wrap their wounds to be together or make people pay for their missing childhood.

  8. 708
    ader Says:

    nice info

  9. 709
    sara Says:

Yeah. NG couldn’t explore deeper. So in most of the drama i couldn’t tell if Maru really loved EG. I hope JW ‘s love changes to a more mature form of love. If it’s now just an obsessive love out of guilty conscious, it turns to an unselfish, unconditional, protective love which can save his poor soul. So bad if it leads him to a darker, more dangerous road with an unclear end. I hope the same for HJ. Three of them are just poor, suffering souls and what if nothing but death can save them? What if the writer will kill them all? Even the name of the drama implies separation.

  10. 710
    KDaddict Says:

JW’s love will forever be tinted with his guilt for having walked out on her that day. Given half a chance, he’ll do anything for her, to rectify, pay for that wrong, including give his life in an attempt to prove his love.

HJ has no living relation whom he cares for, or who cares for him in the world, except for SY/Zoe. As we have seen, he is the controlling n possessive sort. His feelings for her are driven by Need rather than love. Need serves oneself. It doesn’t hesitate to destroy the other when she cannot be had. That’s why he is the villain.
Dark as it is, I love this drama, becos the way it is set up makes sense to me. Human nature has a dark underbelly. Nothing wrong w exploring it once in a while.

We see eye to eye on NG. The script got wishy-washy.

    katayoon Says:

i cant wait for ep 7

  12. 712
    sara Says:

When JW was young, i loved him more than HJ. It was mostly because of little prince’s acting. But now, both of the actors are great and HJ is more like a psychopath in love. He is complicated, wounded and scared inside and cold and expressionless outside. He is a charming villain. You can’t help but love him. JW is lonely, wounded, regretful inside and warm, multi-personality outside. He is sooo adorable too. Now, it’s a bit hard to choose between them. Not for winning the girl but as your favorite, unforgettable character of the drama. Who’s your favorite?

  13. 713
    maida Says:

i have watched the four first episodes and i got cought.awesome so far .the rating is disappointed .strage on the contrary with shallow series that have high rating..it is heartbraking and hopefully it ends well

  15. 715
    KDaddict Says:

Ep 7 is Daebak! Daebak! Daebak!

This is the best melodrama since Winter Sonata of 2001! It is a melo w chars I’m willing to follow to hell and back!

Don’t read on if u don’t want to know.

SY is Entirely toying with him! She is mad at him for abandoning her that day, of course. So when he keeps approaching her to ask if she is SY, she says she isn’t, but drops enough hints to make him doubt, thus driving him crazy. JW is tearing out his hair!
Oh, Micky is sooo good. This is the best acting I’ve seen fr him. It is a far cry fr that in RTP, maybe becos this script is far better–it allows him to act his heart out w a complex char.

In the police shots of the crime scene, rapist is lying in the tub. I see dark blood around his pubic area. I think his ‘u know what’ has been cut off! Feed it to the dogs, I say.
Brilliant plot: freeze him w dry ice in the tub, immobilize him, cut off his uh, ‘ti-ti’, let him bleed n freeze to death.
Only trouble is: the dry ice was delivered by courier. Wouldn’t there be a record at the courier company of who sent it, where it was picked up?

HJ is wary of JW’s presence. It only means that after having lived w SY for 13 years, he is still insecure abt SY’s love for him. Or is it more than that: he is sure that SY still loves JW. YooSH is a joy to watch.
HJ is making moves to harm his step-brother Tae Joon, for killing his mother. TJ’s wife runs a fashion chain. Don’t get why she keeps aggravating Zoe if she wants Zoe to join her operation.

JW finally gets his confirmation that Zoe=SY, by watching her reaction to the rapist in the car (on CCTV). Now his pursuit for her is on. Except that before they get much time to enjoy romance, the police will be hot on her trail!

Ah, Show, how can u be so Perfect!
I hate melos, but this one is just Perfect! (So far.)

  16. 716
    KDaddict Says:

There is no comparison between the young JW n the young HJ. The young JW jumps off the screen n grabs w becos Yeo Ji Gu really brings him to life. Which adolescent actor can compare w Yeo Jin Gu? Certainly Not the one who played the young HJ!
As for the grown up versions, Micky n YooSH both have their own distinctive charms n merits that I find them hard to compare. I love both Micky n YooSH. Only difference is that Micky has had more starring roles than YooSH, so I’ve had a chance to love Micky longer.
At this point, both chars JW n HJ r good guys w painful pasts. So we can root for them both. Many viewers even ship HJ w SY. For me, JW is like an open book, whereas HJ seems to live under a mask or a shadow. I don’t quite get the sense that I know him.
Fact is HJ has the villain role, so he WILL come to do things that befit that role. At that pt, we’ll no longer be able to love HJ as much as JW. It’s what ppl do that define us as the Kind of persons that we are.

This is one absorbing show, w fantastic story, parts, roles, chars, acting, n cast! Love it! YEH is the perfect SY.
The other shows I was watching have crapped out on me! Jeon Woo Ji, Rascal Sons. Now I’m only following: KoD n Childless Comfort. I like having 1 family drama in my diet. 😉

somehow i get the feeling that none of them deserve each other? naw i don’t know, i think maybe i’m losing a bit interest, and watching episode 8 made me realize how much i miss the child actors! i really wish there were more to them, they seem to catch my feelings more. LSY changed a freaking lot, it’s kind of good but it’s kind of not good either. i really hope something changes because watching episode 8, i can’t help feeling as though LSY and HJW’s relationship will be irrepairable. and i think i’m starting to miss the intense drama form this series because it seems kind of bleak without the strong and intense stuff going on

    sara Says:

Great episode. It just plays with your emotions, explores your unconscious and made you think “what would i do, if i was in their shoes?”. While watching ep 7 i thought SY is a real villain. Yeah, she is wounded but she ‘s using both guys for satisfying her selfishness. She knows everything, remembers JW, knows how HJ needs her affection, her love but till is tormenting both of them. I was heart-broken for both JW and HJ. Specially two scenes were more sad and clearly showed these two poor souls JW and HJ’s love for this girl.

    1. When HJ puts his head on her shoulder and cries. Till now we thought he was her protector but now we can see that lonely, hopeless HJ again. He just needs someone who can love him. He needs her.

    2. When JW is waiting and shivering while HJ and SY are watching his frustration. I love love this scene. We can see warm, impatient young JW again. She doesn’t have a drop of young SY’s innocence. I know her image will change through the drama but now she is just a cold-hearted witch.

What i’m impressed about is their acting. Really excellent. I was disappointed in YEH’s drama choices after CP. But here, she again proves her great talent. YSH is just too pretty to be real. I never thought he could play a antagonist this well and Micky, where had you hidden your talent? BTW, i miss little prince like crazy.

I wonder if the writer or actress sat down with rap victims in order to get a sense of what women go through in their society because this feels rather trivialized for a sensitive subject matter.

I love this drama “I miss you” so much I love the cast especially the three of them
Park YooChun (JW) crazy rabbit detective Han,Yoon Eun Hye (SY/Zoe) and Yoo Seung Ho (HJ/Harry) I’m captivated of this drama, they portrait the characters really great,. They deserve an award. I hope this drama ends up happy,… I feel suspence, sad, happy, thrill, while watching this, can’t wait every episode to watch,.. I’m one of a million fans of PY, YEH and YSH!!! Fighting!!!

  39. 739
    KDaddict Says:

    Ep 8:
is a lull, but things will pick up n get intense again.

Not that much happens in this ep. You can’t have EVERY ep being equally eventful n intense.

So the police are picking up clues that the killer is a woman. Worse, that the cell phone they found at the rapist apt has connection to France, n the last call made on it was made in Harry’s house. (That’s the cell that the rapist lifted fr Zoe thru the car window). So the clues pt to Zoe. A woman ordered dry ice to be delivered to the rapist using SY’s mother’s name!
Harry is toying w HanTJ. If ever there is a hateful person in this drama, it is Han TJ (besides the rapist n his brother). But the show doesn’t tell us why HTJ is the way he is. He just comes off as a flat cardboard figure. Harry might end up getting more than he bargains for in messing w him tho.

I get it that SY is mad at JW, for abandoning her, for ‘throwing her away’. But why is she mad at her mom? A woman who has no money, no position, no education, would be powerless to do anything to find SY when she was abducted. SY blames her too.

Another thing that puzzles me is this:
Zoe n Harry have lived in France for 14 years. They have never kissed??? Zoe turns her face away when Harry tries to kiss her not on the lips, but on the cheek! And they’ve been living together for umpteen years. Hmmm…..go figure!

IMO, I Miss You n King of Drama are the two best shows of the year. Unfortunately, owing to their themes, they aren’t very popular as shown by their ratings. KoD is a dark comedy; IMY is simply dark.

  40. 740
    hny Says:

I can’t believe too.. they never kiss !! it mean only JW and the rapist who ever kiss her…. poor harry 😀
after all the evidence leads to Zoe .. I think there will be a sacrifice! I do not know who will sacrifice themselves if zoe is the rapist killer .. most likely they were willing to sacrifice themselves for zoe, but if the murderer is Harry .. I think zoe was not going to let Harry suffer alone … so most likely this drama will end badly and depressing 😛
I love King of drama esp Anthony KIm.. ‘DUREN’ 😀 (eh stil married ya!)

    unknown unknown Says:

    Hi @scottine, @Fannie (#704, #705)

I think the scriptwriter for “I Miss You” is very good…leaving behind clues for viewers to guess the rapist’s killer. I think the killer is Kim Eun Joo. If you can watch again the last part of Episode 6 when HJW was fighting with the rapist outside his house and Eun Joo appeared, it showed how mad she was with the bad guy. Also, the red car that was seen at the rapist home on the night of his murder was traced to an air stewardess… From young, Eun Joo has always liked HJW and she also knew that her own Father had wrongly arrested LSY’s father and wanted to make amends.

    Hi @KDaddict,
I always liked reading your comments. By the way, I think it wasn’t that the police found LSY’s mobile phone at the crime scene. They were tracing the phone number because it was from this number that the rapist called HJW to come and meet him outside HJW’s house that day (before he was murdered). The last dialled number from LSY’s phone was back to Harry’s house and that was the call made by the rapist to LSY.

Hope I got the above right :-). This is a really good drama…

    KDaddict Says:

    @unknown-741, (scottine, Fannie),
Hello, Nice to meet you. It’s always a pleasure to talk to sb who watches w attn. 🙂
I do think that if the killer is SY, it’d be too pact, too easy, too straight fwd. The killer doesn’t really have to be her. It just has to Appear As If it is her, for the 2 guys to spring into action. She only has to be accused, for them to go nuts. I believe 1 guy will do what is within the law to try to clear her, while the other guy will be more scheming, crafty, w little regard for the law. It’s then that they’ll show what stuff they r made of, i.e. who is the hero, n who is the villain.

Eun Joo might be the rabbit they’ll pull out of the hat. It’d be mighty interesting if she turns out to be the killer. She is the char who flies the lowest on the radar so, but there is a good reason for her to be the 2nd lead. So I think it is v likely to be her. We know that she has been an upright person fr young, n the rapist’s action cost her the life of her father. Still, I hope that the drama will show us More motivation, enough for her to kill.
Mom said EJ doesn’t bring in any money. She drinks all the time. She isn’t an airline hostess, right? Maybe she knows sb who is.

Thank you for putting me right regarding the cell phone. I was in a hurry to leave when typing that comment, n goofed.

This is a really good drama, becos it is well written, well thought out, well plotted, so it makes sense to thinking ppl, as opposed to some other melo’s which require way too much Suspension of disbelief.

Hi..U wrote what I think because Eun Joo is a mystery webtoon artist and as we saw in the MY poster, she’s the 4 main casts but so far her scenes was too little..She must feel sad and mad when her dad gone while chasing LSY..We don’t know what was in her mind right now, maybe still mad and want to take revenge..I think she’s probably the one who kill that rapist..

Missing You is not only a melodrama, it has everything..Thumbs up to the writer for making this drama interesting and I have no idea how will this drama end..Is it sad or happy ending because most of the chars in MY was live in painful..

Ep 8 is the least intense and melodramatic one. It’s more real and a bit sweet too. We can see more of each character.

I think i love JW the most. But while watching ep 8 i was very confused. One moment i think SY is villain. I hate her for hurting JW. Then i feel sorry for her coz she is suffering as much as JW.

Then HJ. One moment i think he is a sneaky, selfish character and the next moment i feel i never can hate this pitiful guy. He is an upgraded version of writer’s Maru in ‘Can you hear my heart?’. You even could love him more than the hero in some moments. The only one who is a mixture of sweetness, sorrow and madness is JW. You can’t get enough of him.

Why SY is mad at her mom? I think because she thinks her mom has forgotten her and just thinks about EJ. She said “Now, i reassured i should forget all about LSY and she’s better to be dead forever. She just pretends to not care but she despairingly wants to be loved by JW and her mom. But if she knows det Kim is dead, why and how, there’s no reason for her to get jealous at her mom affection for EJ.

I thought she even has slept with HJ. She seemed very comfortable with him physically. I also was surprised when she turned her face. But how she could turn him down. He is irresistible.

I’m sure SY is not the killer. She even trembles after slapping JW. How she can kill her rapist? Her and HJ’s size is the same and the footprint is another reason. They say the killer dragged his foot. It means his leg is injured.

EJ as the killer? She can be. She has the motivation. That man ruined her family. But she loves JW so much and knows he doesn’t want the rapist to be killed. Do you think she can kill him?

I completely agree with you about “I miss you” and “KOD” being the best dramas. I enjoy watching both of them and they are the most worth to watch dramas for now. It seems Koreans can’t love different subject matters. I don’t believe May Queen’s high ratings when it’s just terrible. What they want from a drama, i don’t know.
