    Dear Admin,
Please edit, Wang Yeo (young) not Kwak Dong Yun but Kim Min Jae http://star.koreandrama.org/kim-min-jae-1996/

    USA Says:

Slow Story + Slow Development = Audience Yawns. This results in memory lapses leading to disinterest. The writer has to decide – drag it on or get to the point – which side will tell the story of life, the dead or the living? It goes Very SLOWLY. Soon, the living will become dead!! Move it.

    Aryan Says:

Next couldn’t come fast enough. But I’d rather wait a week for more fulfilling conclusion they offered, rather than drown in a state of despair for months after watching a disheartened one. Ep 13 plots move so fast. And for God’s sake, I am crying after watching this episode. I’d to cuddle my cat to make my eyes’ leakage lessened. PMS sucks!
Also heard that Gong Yoo is unwell, wishing him a full recovery 😘😍

    choopatiu Says:

    tigerb Says:

@admin: who is the actor that plays the role of ‘park joong heon’, the eunuch, who masterminded the young king’s activities and decisions?

    @tigerb from admin – http://star.koreandrama.org/kim-byung-chul/

  25. 175
    tigerb Says:

the episodes i’ve watched so far were well written (and the subs i’ve read were excellent) there’s nothing in the special that i learned more, as it basically tried to explain the relationships of these people, their past lives, etc. if the goblin’s sword is stuck in his body for the longest time, how can he summon his sword to strike when he wants to? did the goblin, in effect, created the goblin bride when he saved eun tak’s mom and let the baby be born? the ‘almighty’ deity and sam shin could have given the goblin the chance to alleviate the punishment much earlier. oh well, it’s a fantasy all right.

  26. 176
    Peyutnduy Says:

Why was there a special episode after ep.13?

  27. 177
    tigerb Says:

thanks, Admin! i thought i had watch that guy before, could not tell where, also he acted well in his role here too.

  28. 178
    USA Says:

Writer Kim Eun-Suk’s male characters in Goblin & Secret Gareden represent more women’s quality than men. Gong Woo & Hyun Bin were more emotional and weak while Kim Go_Eun and Won Ha-Jin play stronger and can-do-all characters. This is called “desensitizing” men by minimizing men and ridiculing men. Also, I have never seen male leads cry so much in this writer’s dramas. Have you noticed writer Kim Eun-Suk’s male characters are often better looking than female leads. For example, Hyun Bin and Gong Yoo are more ‘handsome’ than their ‘cute’ female leads. And male characters in Kim Eun-Suk’s dramas are more dependent on women. If I were actor, I wouldn’t work with this writer. She makes ‘men’ weaker, ‘women’ stronger. Not one gender should be degraded at the expense of another. Whatever came of Hyun Bin after Secret Garden? Ha-Ji Won made hit dramas after Secret Garden, but Hyun Bin? This writer is for female, not male actors. America is in need for real men (known as the alpha males); it seems South Korea too needs less weak and wimpy men in their dramas. Could this writer also stay away from reincarnation, gender crap, after-life witch hunt? Her dramas are dark & uninspiring. This writer’s dramas do well by 1) selecting good actors & actress, 2) using more & better special effects than other writers, and 3) choosing good locations => should we give credit to Good Director’ Work?

  29. 179
    Nana Says:

Why did you only compare Secret Garden and Goblin? How about other dramas she made? DOTS, the Heirs, A Gentlemen’s Dignity?

Btw I don’t see men who cry as weak. Men are also human with emotions and feelings. And from what I see from her dramas, she made the balance between men and women, where each gender has their own strengths and weaknesses. Hence, they could and would support each other.

    Silvi Says:

I love this drama!! The soundtrack is just as amazing as the topnotch cinematography and Kim Eun Suk’s soulful and always surprising writing and the chemistry between both couples (and the adorable bromance😍) is just soooo unbelievably cute and intense at the same time!!
But be warned episode 13 is gonna shatter your (fangirl) heart! Waiting for a week has never been so excruciating😭 and I’m praying for a HEA like 24/7!

    Vietgirl Says:

I Agree with @nana i don’t think that male who crying is more weaker. They are also human, and they also have emotions. Anger, sadness, happiness. Crying is manifestation for sadness. So what’s wrong ?…

  40. 190
    tigerb Says:

ep. 14: that relationship starts all over again. guess that’s how to please the fans. but i thought the goblin wanted only to be the rain or the first snowfall near her, so reincarnation was what i expected, to start a new relationship, when both really don’t know each other. in this episode and, forecasting the rest, tables are turned, but just the same will be a happy ending.

    Simon K Says:

@USA, I strongly disagree with your argument that Kim Eun-Suk “desensitizing men by minimizing men and ridiculing men” simply because I don’t agree with your view of “a true man”.

BTW, if you really live in USA (I am right now), your view of genders difference is quite out dated in my opinion.

    Mary Says:

Honestly, I would stop at episode 15. That was a good ending for me. I was not expecting the events in episode 16!!! I personally did not think it was necessary. I am not very satisfied with what we got at the end. It wasn’t a sad ending, but still, I wish it was a bit better. Now that this drama is over, I feel sad, dissatisfied, and lonely! I can’t wait to watch what the writer writes next and what Gong Yoo chooses as his next Korean drama project! But seriously though, Gong Yoo is such a handsome man. I enjoyed this drama a lot more because of him. I wish he would be in more Korean dramas! For now, I would like to thank all the Goblin team for creating a spectacular drama. Overall, I really enjoyed this drama. I waited very eagerly for every episode, and I know that when that happens to me, then I must really, really, like the drama. That was the case with Goblin. Well done!

    octopusonhead Says:

This drama is a MUST watch if you have not seen it.

the way episode 14 ended was so nice.

    Stygian Says:

@Mary Agreed! I had this nagging feeling telling me to just stop at episode 15, this queasiness kept bugging me – I knew the end wouldn’t be good for my unsettle mind. But I kept watching until the end. Now I am sobbing myself dry. I should have listened to myself! I know Goblin lives forever, but I couldn’t bear the agony watching him lives his life watching everyone he loves gone by. I feel empty and hollow inside. Sigh. But still, this is a very good drama – leaving an impression that would be remembered for quite long time. Waiting impatiently for Gong Yoo next project!

    Jane Says:

Reasons why I love the writer Kim Eun Sook:-
    1) her flair is exactly what I love
    2) her romance script is reality plus fairy tale. Too much reality is boring cos we already have reality in our life. I prefer a drama that relieve me from reality.
    3) entertaining: the story line and especially the speeches are great and tacky
    4) happy ending : it may sound so typical but so what? We laugh and cry buckets with the drama. And then, we rejoice when we see happy ending!

    My plan for Goblin:-
I am saving Goblin until it ends. Then I can watch and enjoy it in my leisure
BUT I hear the ending is not a happy one. This is not Kim EUn Sook’s style. So disappointing! This is so Japanese-like. Japanese drama is so mean in their ending: either unhappy or inconclusive. I hate this kind, too much reality. We have too much of reality in our life. I don’t need this reality in dramas.
I think I will not watch Goblin
Sigh! Please, could you give an epilogue for Goblin with a happy ending!!!! PLEASE!

    Simon K Says:

The last 3 episodes are a little bit unusual, it took unexpected turn in direction. Even though it is not the typical ending that people expected, I think the ending is different and nicely done in its own way. Great great drama from beginning to the end.
