What is the name of the song that appears throughout the series, “The Iron Empress?” It is sung by a woman, and is beautifully haunting.

    Thank you.

The kings were basket cases. Making grave decisions that affected the lives of the nation, on nothing more than hearsay and allegations.

The creators of this drama have done a disservice to their nation’s history for I am sure the kings were not cartoonish and utterly idiotic.

The heroine was likeable till later when she somehow picked up some feminist rhetoric and went from a sincere mother forcibly separated from her son to just another politically ambitious royal.

It would have been more interesting had they made her true to the original character . Even if her character wasn’t dramatic, her ambition and passion would have been sufficient to make for an engaging story. Let’s face it all the fight scenes were the same old boring acrobatics in period costumes.
