Synopsis
This is the story of two women, Seo Jung Eun and Han Yoo Kyung, who walk very different paths to achieve their desires. Seo Jung Eun is a strong and courageous woman who has suffered a difficult life, having grown up in an orphanage, but continues to embrace people around her despite longing for affection herself. Jung Eun harbours the hope that she will meet her mother if she becomes a star, striving to reach her goal and overcome her suffering with her pure and innocent nature. In contrast, Han Yoo Kyung has a birth secret for which she is willing to throw away everything in order to get revenge. The “thorn birds” of the title refers to Jung Eun’s character, who only brings out her best at the cost of great pain. A thorn bird is a mythical bird who searches for a thorn tree from the day it is born. When it finds it, the bird impales itself upon the sharpest thorn, and rises above the agony to sing the most beautiful song ever heard.

wah.. i am happy to know that i am not the only one who thinks that the second lead actress is ugly and not suite for her role, i mean if you want to seduce you bf friend, that you must be looking better than your friend right? i dont know why JSW even think of her although she kissed him, he has to be throw up after the kiss.. i know i will.. hahahaha… i love han hye jin role here, she is beautiful,i hope she will find out about the betrayal that her boyfriend and her friend has done for her..

Hv watched Ep 10. Don’t understand why lead actress Han Hye Jin wasted her 6 years raising her gf’s child and let people misunderstood her for so long. Is she really that great?
She now staying under the same with lead actor for 6 yrs and the little girl call him uncle and call HHJ mother.

First, i dont think we have a right to insult person’s look.
i pretty excited to follow this drama at the beginning. however after 5 episodes, i want to stop. i agree with some comment here that the drama plot doesnt make sense. i dont get it the emotion in this drama. after something happen they act confusing emotion. i mean the emotion doesnt suit to what just happen huhuhuhu

some of the best drama i’ve watched have low ratings. while its an indication, sometimes it does not represent the quality of a drama.
the plot was a little far fetched in how Jung Eun took up the responsibility for YooKyung’s baby and mother but I found Han HyeJin and Cha Hwayun’s acting when they discovered the truth was truly touching.
I’m on to ep 11. I am truly enjoying this drama. All the actors are doing a good job. I look forward to each eposide and cant wait for the part when the leads pair up.

Joo Sang Wook as Lee Young Jo slept with 2nd lead actress Kim Min Jung as Han Yoo Kyung and she is pregnant with his child. She did not tell him becoz she found out that JSW’s father or grandpa is the cause for separating her and her mother. So Kim Min Jung was very angry that she does not want to keep her baby girl and ask her good friend Han Hye Jin to put it in the orphanage. HHJ end up bringing up the girl herself. HHJ is staying under the same roof with lead actor JSW (she still likes him alot). HHJ does not know that JSW & KMJ are of intimate relationship becoz all keep their mouth shut. I wonder what happen if HHJ found out… ha ha ha
wasted her 6 yrs waiting for a guy and bringing up her so call “gd friend” little girl… I find JSW’s cousin the tall handsome guy Seo Do Young more charming

i start watch dis drama from kbs world.at first i found that dis drama was quite boring.so i skip episode 3,4 then today after i watch epi 5,6 i eager to know the next episode.can someone told me what happen at the 3rd episode.can someone tell me..and i agree with some of u.the second hero is very handsome.

this drama has no common sense…IS IT POSSIBLE for a woman who just delivered a baby to wear tight clothes with flat tummy???? UNREALISTIC at all… LOL… and the male lead is too old… the female lead acts too good… very annoying!! there is no such people like this in this world… this drama SUCKS!!!! the second female is damn ugly…look like a gold fish… ahhahahahahah XD

I am so glad that HHJ found out about the relationship between JSW & KMJ just before the engagement ceremony. I always finds that HHJ has more feeling for JSW but not JSW towards HHJ. Hope that Seo Do Young can end up with HHJ becoz he really cares for her.

Yes, storyline is unrealistic. However, this what keeps viewers entertained. Every episode I watched I can’t help but feel sorry for Jung Eun. It was impressive to finally see her standing up to Yoo Kyung when Yoo Kyung came to the house to see Han Byul. I like to see her tough up some more. I also believe that Young Jo has stronger feelings for Yoo Kyung. I like to see Jung Eun to end up with Kang Woo. It seems his feelings are more genuine towards Jung Eun. It would be different than most plots. The main female lead ending up with the 2nd male lead. Wouldn’t that be great? Can’t wait for the next episode. Let hope the writers surprise us with a different love outcome than most dramas love ending.

People like the 2nd female lead could exist in real life. It’s quite unbelievable but they do exist, just utterly evil and greedy. I like how the episodes progress.
I didn’t like how stupid the female lead at first by letting her so-called friend did those awful things to her but as the story unfolded, I kinda understood her. I just wish that there would be a happy ending so I’d not be heartbroken. Please, just please NO to a tragic ending!!!
Btw, I’m rooting for the 2nd male lead to end up with the female lead. It’s quite unusual but I just love that kind of ending.
