mmmm…
I would like to respond to hhs…
Please take note:
Quote: unlike my other roles, the character requires me to be bumbling and chaotic at times. So this role was strenuous and awkward. To date, I have rarely talked while filming because I need to concentrate: unquote. –YDG
That was make him so talented…for me I watched a lot of Korean dramas/ tv series/ actors and actress but he is the one that I would say a so called Good Actor.
He really transforms himself from one role to another (depends on what character he has to act). Remember Ruler of your own world? He really made me cry in that drama. And also in Dr. Gang where he plays the role of the lazy bum Kang Dal-Go.
And in this series I would say he acted well…It’s a different role for him.
Do not judge a book by its cover…

To hhs and YDG_Fan:
Since “the least favorable show” was mentioned above by hhs.
What are the most favorable 2007 k-drama on your minds? Your replay will be greatly appreciated.
I like “Surgeon Bong Dal Hee”, “Famous 7 princess”, and “I Am Sam”. But I don’t like “Over the Rainbow” and found “What planet are you from” totally boring.

Sorry for taking such a long time to reply. Well I’ve watched most of it. . For 2007 I would recommend ‘Surgeon Bong Dal Hee, HIT, Time Between Dog & Wolf, Thank You, Capital Scandal, Coffee Prince, Bad Couple, Hello Miss’…….If you’re interested try some sitcoms ‘Pure 19, Be Strong Geum Soon’ with 100 over episodes….
I’ve just finished Fly High and How To Meet A Perfect Neighbour….and I like ‘Fly High’
Well that’s my list for 2007… happy viewing!!

On SOOMPI.com’s staff recommendation for 2007 Korean dramas, this show is listed on the top 10 list. Actually, it is listed at #7. It is a quite interesting list. I agree with most of the selection except the #1 selection.
They put “White Tower” #1. I do not like the Tower that much. I think it is too heavy to watch for me. Maybe it is because there was no good love story in it. I prefer “Surgeon Bong Dal Hee” instead. I would put their #2 “the Legend of The King and Four Gods” to #1. Then I would put “I Am Sam” to #2.
There were lot of good k-drama in 2007. I think it was the year that Park Min-young and Lee Ji-ah (the Legend’s new star) emerged as great actresses. They both look beautiful and act great.

i only recommend this if you have nothing else to do.
The only good thing about this show is TOP.

The Soompi staff recommendation: 2007 Korean drama
1. White Tower
2. The Legend / Tae Wang Sa Sin Gi
3. War of Money
4. Conspiracy in Court
5. Thank You
6. Insoon Is Pretty
7. I Am Sam
8. Catch a Kang-nam Mother
9. Que Sera Sera
10. Coffee Prince Store No. 1
I agree with the list. But I would take out “White Tower” and replace its No. 1 position by “The devil”.

To JimWang,
Hi…Happy New Year!!!
I’m just trying my luck as I do not know which or where is your lastest comment on drama response. Hope I get the correct one. Just to let you know that I’ve finished watching an epic drama ‘Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi’ . . . It’s was my first epic drama and I think that the drama was great. It will be on my top listing for 2008…
January 15th, 2008 at 10:58 pm
TOP is so cool in this drama!
January 17th, 2008 at 9:35 am
UM. Honestly, I don’t want to be mean, but the story line was really unreasonable. Everything about this is unreasonable, and the acting wasn’t all that great. The whole thing about how he lives with her is absurd.
Like one who had already commented said, the best thing about this drama is TOP.
The main girl is pretty.
I guess it’s more of the SCRIPT that I dislike. The characters were weak, and it is just so illogical why certain events occur.
Then again, I’m still watching it b/c I hope they get better, but it seems like the predictable ending is hard to avoid…

Happy new year to you too!!!
It is nice to see your comment again. I have bought “Pure 19″, “HIT”, “Thank You”, but haven’t watch them yet.
Since “I Am Sam”, I have watched three dramas. They are “The Legend”, “Fashion 70′s”, and “The Devil”. They are equally great dramas. I will give them all 5 out of 5 stars. Since you like “HIT”, it is likely that you will like “the Devil”. Because it is an action/thriller type. And “Fashion 70′s” is a 2006 show, you might have watched it already.
By the way, is epic drama the same as historical drama? Is “Dae Jang Geum” an epic drama?

to JimWang
Hi… It’s great to hear from you again. Yes, Dae Jang Geum is an epic drama or historical drama but I didn’t watched that. I’m not so keen on epic dramas, but since ‘The Legend’ was recommended by my Korean friend, so might as well give it a try. No regrets after all.
The only drama which is from a different era that I’ve watched so far was ‘Capital Scandal or Seoul Scandal’ – not too bad, comical drama.
Since you’ve bought ‘Pure 19′, I wonder if you’ve watched ‘Be Strong, Geum Soon’? And by the way, do you post a drama reponse to all the dramas that you’ve watched?
January 18th, 2008 at 11:43 am
I just finished watching this subbed..it’s 4.42am here in paris..i really loved it and got pretty fast into the series..however it got pretty boring at some parts after 10 episodes..i started before yesterday afternoon.
Episode 16 is definitely one of the best drama ending episode i have watched over the past months..man i’ve been crying for the past 15minutes..i was really touchy.
i really thank the entire cast for the great job, and i’ve actually been looking over the web to find their official website so that i write them.
good day

Hello, I am very glad to see your replay. I have not watched ‘Be strong, Geum Soon’. And I seldom post a drama response except here. Because after watching ‘I Am Sam’, I found out this place that I can post a comment.
It is very interesting that you mentioned about watching your first epic drama. On the contrary, the first 5 dramas that I have watched, (‘Sangdo’, ‘Hur Jun’, ‘Glass Slippers’, ‘Dae Jang Geum’, ‘Damo’) four of them are historical dramas. I was very lucky because they were all great dramas. That’s why I became a fan of Korean drama.
Untill today, I still think the ‘Glass Slippers’ is the best non-historical drama that I have ever watched.
