Synopsis
Wi Mae Ri is the cheerful, pragmatic daughter of a failed businessman who had grown used to being constantly on the move to escape from debtors. She becomes fast friends with the free-spirited indie singer Kang Moo Kyul when she nearly ran him over in a car. Meanwhile, her father Wi Dae Han is saved from his debtors by his old friend, Jung Suk, who had just returned from considerable success in the Japanese entertainment industry. Jung Suk, who had harboured a secret love for Mae Ri’s mother, sets up a deal with Dae Han to have Mae Ri marry his son, Jung In. In her desperate to escape this predicament, Mae Ri begs Moo Kyul to pose as her husband, and finds herself in even more trouble than before when her father proposes a 100-day period in which she has to divide her time equally between Moo Kyul and Jung In, after which she has to decide who to marry.

- Won Soo Yeon also wrote the manhwa “Full House” which was adapted into the 2004 KBS drama “Full House”.
- Writer In Eun Ah left the drama due to the drama’s low ratings and discord with the production team. She was replaced with Go Bong Hwang who took over the script from episode 11.

just finished watching the whole drama ‘mary stayed out the whole night’. JGS has improved a whole lot in his acting here compared to his acting in ‘you’re beautiful’. this drama also showed a lot more of his singing talent than the previous one. i don’t know about ratings as i’m not from korea, but the korean dramas i’ve seen so far are entertaining and well produced. cheers!

i watched this series because of jang geun suk but the series had a not solid
storyline, editing is helter skelter and leaves one confused. one scene doesn’t connect at all to the next scene. in short, it is a failure. and i did not finish this and i don’t plan to do so.
I consider this an OVERRATED series if it got a high ratings but i doubt it because
one cannot present a bad film and masquerade it as good. eventually, the show’s weakness will be obvious.

I am only watching this drama because of Jan Geun Suk. The actress Moon Geun Young is silly, not funny, overbearing and the typical stereotype of a baby faced Asian who is supposed to bevolder but acts like a child. That theme has been played out so many times it’s not even funny. The writing in episodes 1-10 is obvious and uninteresting. Then it gets better after that. I continued watching because of Geun Seuk’s acting and singing.

God, this movie is so bad. These are the reasons. First you have a Director who is afraid to do anything because he is afraid of his father. Then we have the girl, Mary. Why did you pick someone so plain and unattractive? First she acts like a baby on the first 10 episodes and then she becomes boring in the next six to the point that one becomes so disinterested that you definitely find her annoying. Then there is her father, a total loser who thinks only of himself. What did his wife ever see in him? Tge only I really like is the singer Jang Geun Suk and that is the reason I keep watching all the way to the end of the series. He is very talented.

I began to watch this because of my affection for the manhwa. the changes to the main charchters threw me off a bit but, and mind you I am an adult, I liked the over all story. I watch allot of Korean dramas, so maybe I’m more used to having to watch the whole story before I make a judgement on weather it stayed consistant or the story went anywhere at all, Or maybe it’s just I’m so acustom to bad translations that I can sit through anything. But still I really enjoyed this show, even wishing they’d still stuck with the metal band idea…..

Very beautiful drama. I enjoyed the grandeur of simplicity of the story. there were just some characters who were a bit far from real..but overall, the story is wholesome and entertaining..congratulations!

i like very much this drama after Endless love and Full house,it’s not only love story so no borred to wacth it.and i hope moon geun young&jang geun suk they a have a new drama together as a couple.
they both are good couple,totally acting even Jang singging this soundtrack.

the cast are very good actually, the actors played their role really well especially the geungeun couple jang geun suk and moon geun young.the story was funny and interesting.and it’s not the typeof drama that is far from reality. i love it very much and this drama was the reason i am addicted to korean dramas now.because when i started watching this i realize that korean dramas are worth watching.
p.s: the soundtracks are the best esp those w/c are sang by jang geun suk. =)

This drama is not good for the youth.. Since , Mary lies all the time to her father just to be with her man… It’s as if lying is tolerable. 2nd, living together with your bf at the same roof is not good example..3rd, the scenes were so confusing jump from one scene to another…. I don’t like to recommend this to the teens because it can create bad influence on their minds.
