Synopsis
Jung-suh and Song-joo grew up together. They were always there for each other. Tragedy begins when Song Joo begins his studies overseas without Jung-suh. Jung-suh’s father remarries Tae Mira. Mira takes in her two children from a previous marriage, Tae-hwa and Yuri. Yuri is envious of the life that Jung-suh leads and is determined to take everything away from her, including Song-joo. Tae-hwa begins to develop feelings for his stepsister, however Jung-suh still loves Song-joo. Five years later, tragedy occurs when Jung-suh gets into a car accident causing her to lose her memory. Together with Tae-hwa, they start anew. Song-joo is led to believe that she is dead. However, when they meet again one day, he is determined to remind her of the love they had for one another. When fate finally seemed to be on their side, Jung-suh is diagnosed with eye cancer.

I really love this drama. I always watch this many times (repeat n repeat). Kwon Sang Woo and Choi Ji Woo are a lovely couple in this drama. They are handsome and pretty as ever. I like the innocent look of Han jung Suh esp. if she smile same with Cha Song Ju how he cares and love Han jung Suh in this drama. i love them both. Hope to watch a drama that both of them will be together with a happy ending.

One of the very classical & heart wrenching Korean drama that turn KSW & CJW to top Korean stars. Very dramatic with twist and turn, very different from what we watched recently in Korean drama.

i cant even read the translation esp. at the final becouse of my tears, i was drepessed for days after

cha song ju really portrays his deep love to han jung suh. rarely a man shows his love and devotion to a woman but this series showed that true love is without boundaries. i’m not a believer of soulmates but now i wish i have one. what move me most is the part that they will meet in heaven someday. being parted with the one you love is bearable with the promise that you will meet someday.
being love that way must be the epitome of one’s life.

I really love this drama,,,this is the greatest drama from korea there I’ve ever seen after ENDLESS LOVE…the story of drama is amazing and the most important is the cast of the drama, they are wonderful player…Its so harmful and touch feeling,,,

I am about to watch this drama, at first I refuse to watch this drama because I don’t think I can bear the sadness in this drama, but I encouraging my self to watch this drama, I have watched Im sorry I love you, with both of the leading actor and actress finally die in the end, I hope I can still hold up till the end .. get ready to cry a bucket of tears..

This is a great Korean drama series. Though the ending was sad, but it was done beautifully. The performances of the main characters were also great and effective.

I just finished watching Stairway to heaven yesterday after delayed it many2 times because I hate when somebody have to die in a drama…And I was right, My tears was keep falling and make my eyes swallow.. this is a sad drama.. but I have to say a good one too.. I really admire Tae hwa, he love jung suh more than himself.. wah I am crying now when I write this comment, isn’t it silly? What can I say, I think Tae hwa love for jung suh was more great than soong ju loves for jung suh..

im barely on episode 4 and right now it feels as if my dog died cuz i cried sooo much and my heart feels so crappy esp when i jumped to read about the ending ahhhhh…but this is the sadest and best drama i’ve ever seen, i think the characters who played the young were perfect in their roles but i don’t like Choi Ji Woo as Jung-see at all, she absolutely doesn’t fit innocent, humble, quiet Jung-see nor her appearance, and Shin Hyun Joon does fit that shabby character of tae-wan but his appearance is far off the scale of future tae-wan, but wow Kwon Sang Woo and Kim Tae Hee were identical to the young versions of their character, i love the plot line, BEST but SADEST KOREAN DRAMA EVER!!!uhhh that Yoo-ri character and her evil mother bother me soooo much!but they r pretty good in being evil

I loved the drama. Very beautiful couple, but I felt sorry for Jung Suh’s brother. He was a great man who committed an error by abducting Jung Suh and keeping quiet about the accident. I really liked the relationship between Cha Song Ju and Director Jang. They were like father and son. Who is the actor who played Director Jang character? Anyone who can help me with this question? Thank you.

Among all of korean drama that i have seen stairway to heaven is the most sadness and effective story. Although the first i didn’t like watch it but after fighting with myself finally watched it. the romantic moments of it are very great beacuse of story and professional and lovely castings. I agree with eve I like KSW and CJW as couple and I hope to watch a drama that both of them will be together too. Finaly, I bealive this drama is the most memorial drama with the most memorial artists KSW and CJW. All moments of stairway to heaven deeply remind in my heart.
