I like this drama a great deal, even though I haven’t been able to see it with English subtitles. I watched a version dubbed in Thai with a friend who filled me on what was going on. I’m now watching the original Korean version with no subtitles. I keep waiting to hear the orchestral musical theme I heard in the Thai dubbed version. It starts with a drumming intro just like the pervasive “Ave Maria” theme. Then there’s a giant swelling theme, no vocals, that’s a real gas.
Does anybody know if there’s two versions of this drama out there, one with the orchestral theme and one without? I really miss that music. I considered the idea that the Thai dubbers mixed in some music, but that seems unlikely–why would they add to their costs?

I really love this drama most of all ,some may tell it as a simple Cliche Story. yes,but the important fact is how it shows this story such greatly with enough depth and so attraction and complication ,with masterful directing, casting, music, location,…made this drama unique and so memorable . it impress me much greatly for ever,as it could show the most beautiful true love in o unique, nice ways of so interesting, beloved characters as Cha Song-ju ,Han Jung-suh and also Han Tae-hwa
everything is in its own best place in this drama, from great casting of kwon Sang woo who is a really Prince Charming and off course also Prince of Tears!! his tears and smiles capture hearts and he can shows his high pure romantic feelings in the nicest way that one can imagines . and his so nice, warm and great presence in tis drama is truly one of the most important success of this drama, and then choi ji woo who is so lovely too and in many scenes she reminds us of the memorable classic beautiful star;Audrey Hepburn. a very great incredible chemisty between leading roles ,Kwon Sang Woo and Choi ji woo which made the as a so memorable drama ouples .
Shin Hyun Joon as Han Tae-hwa also impress us with his true love ,esp the moment of his sacrificial death never will be forgotten ,
I Love the tension, excitement and romance which beautiful music and songs of this drama gives us, from Ave Maria background music to Bo go ship da Song.
anyway if you want to see huge of unique beauty, romance you just must bear the huge of tears and sadness ,it is the only thing you must pay for seeing one of the nicest love stories,…..

Thanks for the link to see this series with English subtitles. No luck yet but I’ll keep trying.
I found out there are indeed two official sets of music in this series, one for domestic, one for foreign. A dubbed in Chinese copy uses the same music as a dubbed in Thai version. Missing is the great “Ave Maria” theme in the foreign copies. Why? Don’t know, but maybe it has something to do with intellectual property rights.
Even though I don’t know Korean, other differences for me between domestic and foreign versions are: 1) the evil stepmother is much more evil in Korean, what a snake she is 2) sound effects leak into the dialogue track in the domestic version, and add realism to the audio–this may be a drawback for those who prefer an “aesthetic distance” 3)Jung-suh is a bit over the top (with the wailing) in Korean, I prefer the more toned down foreign versions in this case.

luv this show…. movie bcoz it tells about how love is always possible and its like heaven is their destiny. love the way they tell the viewers how they love each other as friends and lovers and how the amnesia thing can change both their lives. Yuri sucks because she’s so ugly and sucking bitch…

If i remember it right, I was crying on its every episode! Kwon Sang Woo is a great dramatic actor! Kim Tae Hee on the other hand gave true justice on the character! Though she’s a villain, I still like her.
Love beyond death… I hope such kind of love is still present during this time. Great Story!
The Philippine remake of Stairway to Heaven also received positive comments and good ratings!
