ermm.. after i read these comments then only i realized the ‘height factor’ that made some of you dissatisfy.. i watched few times but just cant see it.. seems like their chemistry had successfully cover the weakness before my eyes.. hehe i recommend

Love this drama! All the leads were superb!
Kang Ji Hwan is definitely in his elements here with his excellent comic timing. Han Ji Min is simply adorable. And despite what some have said, they may seem like an odd couple with the big difference in height but they were definitely convincing together…
Ryu Jin, as usual, is in fine form. His acting is almost flawless. Last but not least, Han Go Eun is smouldering here…

the story line is good and i like the character of Kang Ji Hwan in this drama..he is so cute~ however, i dont reli like the match btw KJH and HJM..they just dont match at all…tat is the disappointing part in this drama…HJM is too short and petite to pair up with KJH…looks weird~

I liked that this drama is different from most. It does have its flaws, but it is very entertaining. Love Ryu Jin. Always a fine actor.

I like the storyline, though I think its a simple love story in revolution era but it has a few surprises towards the ending.
KJH played very good maybe because the role suited him well, but I dont know.. its kinda weird for me seeing him coupled with HJM. The other roles are also good. I’ve specially fond of Han Go Eun’s, she’s really good.
Overall its a good and enjoyable drama.

I really, really love this show… KJH & HJM may not be the best looking thespians but they are definitely very good in acting & have excellent comic timing. The rest of the cast was superb too! All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable show!!!

i have watched exactly 25 kdramas and none of them could surprise, make me laugh, or change moods as well as Capital Scandal could. And i agree with SUNG YU RI… Kang Ji Hwan is AWESOME!!!!

It was an average drama. Storyline was quite normal & simple but i enjoyed it. KANG JI HWAN’s acting was awsome. I watched many of his dramas before & i think this drama was his best work so far. Love Ryu JIN’s acting too. Anyway bravo for all the casts

I am still watching this drama and so far, I am enjoying it! Does anyone know the song that Kang Ji Hwan sang on the stage of the cafe when he was feeling drunk and sad?
Such a nice song! Thanks in advance!

A drama thats in a way a waste of time. It was ok in a way but not really that good that would worth your time, the girl lead is really not convincing, the male lead is really good well dress, support was better.
All in all i would not recommend this drama. I give it a ** out of ******
X.O.X.O.

I enjoy reading various comments. Have a nice day to all of you.

This is most definitely one of the best dramas for 2007!!! Kang Ji Hwan & Ha Ji Min are so cute together – they have such great chemistry. Best of all is the storyline which is so original. Not the typical love triangle or square that you see in kdramas…

this drama rocks!!!!!!!

to Pocholo:
It is always enjoyable to read your comments here. I have a couple of questions. What kind of language is that in koreavision.wordpress.com? And something is wrong with their top dramas of last year.
The three TV networks give out the end of the year awards every year. However, the awards are given to the stars only, not to the people work behind the scenes. That is why it is called ‘the Performance Awards’. The awards are given to best actor/actress, new stars or old stars. They don’t give awards to individual dramas, directors, writers, musians, etc.
Please check in the soompi.com. Check the articles dated around 12/30/2007 for ‘KBS 2007 Performance Awards’. You will also find the awards for SBS and MBC too.

To Jim Wang: I liked ‘I am Sam’ a lot! Told you, I have a soft spot for comedy. I like the fact that KBS is more daring in commissioning original and unpredictable dramas. You wouldn’t see a drama like that in MBC, never mind SBS. But like the other quirky KBS drama ‘Evasive Inquiry Agency’ that I enjoyed, ‘I am Sam’ isn’t quite there yet, if you know what I mean. I don’t want to start pointing out what’s wrong with both these dramas lest KBS stop venturing into these type of dramas on the basis of less-than-impressive ratings. Yes, I’m afraid, Jim, that you and I are in the minority. Don’t think even the people who share their opinions in koreandrama.org would be heaping praises for ‘I am Sam’ either(or am I wrong?). Anyhow, can I also suggest that you give ‘Capital Scandal’ another go? I don’t want to go on again about what I think about this drama except that this is one of the few dramas that wholly works. I chanced upon koreavision.wordpress.com recently and they mentioned the top kdramas for last year. It was ‘War of Money’ for SBS, the ‘Legend’ for MBC and ‘Capital Scandal’ for KBS. I think they got it just about right.
I loved the ‘Legend’ so much that I refuse to slag it off unlike my Korean seonsaengnim who laughed at the sight of Bae Young Jun looking like Gandalf at the very first episode. Jim, you have to admit that the Lord of the Rings has been a big inspiration for this drama. My Korean language classmate even said the battle scenes are reminiscent of BenHur(I said sorry, too young to remember that) and rehashed Star Wars’ Darth Vader(well, at least, I could vaguely remember that). The producers’ imagination has ran amok and has thrown everything in from everybody else’s book but they all seem to work because, hey, I was hooked!!! But if you make ‘ME’ choose between the three dramas above I’ve already said who I’d go for. I think Capital Scandal is funny(contentious to you, I know), classy, but most importantly, original.

I can not agree with Pocholo pick on response #53. It is ridiculous for “Capital Scandal” to be the best drama of 2007. It disappoints me a lot. It is a waste of time watching and waste of money buying the DVD.
People say that this is a comedy, but it is not funny at all. The guys in the show acted like they were having fun but that all for the comedy part. Nothing can really make people laugh. A good comedy is that actors are not laughing but the audience are laughing.
The best comedy for 2007 should be “I Am Sam”. If you want to laugh out loud and have a good time, go watch “I Am Sam” for the second time. And the best drama for 2007, of course, is Bae Yong-jun and his fantastic drama “The Legend: Tae Wang Sa Sin Gi”. If people watched “The Four Gods of the King” and said that they did not like it. I would consider them crazy.

yeah, i agree that this is one of the best drama

This drama is really special. Watching it, you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll worry, you’ll feel suspense, you’ll anticipate, you’ll cheer… You’ll do all these & more…

I want to share with you who I think should have won the major awards for last year’s kdramas. I managed to see a couple of year-end award ceremonies done by the major networks but I don’t agree with most of their choices. I know those awards are mostly self-serving so I think my choices would be much fairer considering I have to make the choices on all the networks’ output instead of just one. Admittedly, my choices are also only based on the ones I managed to see but I’ve seen a lot last year that’s why I have the confidence to dish out my own version of kdrama awards for 2007. One more thing I want to add is that my choices are based on dramas that are only 24 episodes or less. I don’t have the will or the patience to sit through those 50plus episode dramas, so no Jumongs or Jewel in the Palace for me. Some of you would probably not agree with these choices but here they are:
Best Supporting Actor: Kim Gab Soo in When Spring Comes
I have seen him in three dramas last year but here is where he excelled the most. Playing a sleazebag, con-artist but modern-day robin hood, lovable rouge of a dad, he managed to be convincing in the two-sided role. He gave a memorably touching performance in one the court scenes in this drama.
Best Supporting Actress: Moon So Ri in Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi
Thanks to reincarnation, most of the leads here had to play two roles and Moon So Ri was good in both of hers. Playing a bloodthirsty, fight-hungry warrior in the first episode she then turned into a calm and collected priestess in the rest of the drama. Her acting was so surprisingly understated which I find refreshing to see in a Korean drama.
Best Actor: Park Shin Yang in War of Money
What made War of Money so compelling was that the lead actor played his role with great aplomb. Park Shin Yang has treated us, the viewers, with respect by giving us his all. He’s in almost all the scenes or he’s never far away. The scene in which he was hysterically trying to get all the coins his mother’s thrown on a shrine was really moving.
Best Actress: Lee Mi Yeon in Crazy for You
The drama would have wallowed in the mire of soap fodder if not for the acting skills of this woman. She is such a classy actress in the mold of Jeon Do Yeon, Lee Young Ae and Kim Jeung Eun. Was it just me or has everyone already known this? I only ever saw her in one film, Typhoon, and that was such a thankless role. In here she was outacting everyone in sight. This actress doesn’t even need lines. All she has to do is close her eyes, shed a tear and we could already feel her pain. Understated yet powerful acting, very impressive.
Best Drama: Scandal in Old Seoul
This drama didn’t get the audience it deserved because it began when War of Money was already halfway thru its run. I have a soft spot for comedy and this kdrama has really caught my imagination. Some of you might probably think this was a safe, wholesome, fun but not challenging drama. But did you know that it’s tougher to do a comedy than a drama? What I like about this drama was that it was a period piece that isn’t set in the Joseon dynasty. If that isn’t tough enough for the producers then turning it into a comedy certainly has. If there’s an award for casting directors then I’d dish one out for whoever’s responsible in getting the cast. It was simply bang spot on! Everyone suited their roles, from the leads to the minor players. This drama has given the viewers a rollercoaster ride of fun, laughter, a few tears with action and suspense thrown in. That, with all those elements, the drama actually worked was short of miraculous. There’s was a movie last year that did their promotional photos in tribute to this drama. If that isn’t a big nod of approval then I don’t what is.

Wow!!! Amazing mix of drama & independence movement. One if the best.
