Synopsis
This drama is set in the 1930′s when Korea was under the rule of Japan. Na Yeo Kyeong was the owner of a book store and she was also a freedom fighter. Seon Woo Wan was the playboy son of a rich family and he became involved in the independence movement through a bet with his co-workers to win Na Yeo Kyeong’s heart. His father paid for the education of his worker’s son, Lee Soo Hyeon, and was disappointed to find him working for the Security Branch of the Japanese government. Cha Song Joo was a famous gisaeng who ran a high class brothel.

This drama is make me excited , sympathized, sad and satisfied with happy ending.Every body should watch it.I like the performance of all actors and actresses in this drama.KJW has a sweet smile . So, I cannot forget his smile make me happy.Ryu Jin is handsome and manly .Both actresses are beautiful and great acting.

I love KJH since watching Be Strong Geum Soon. This drama is definitely a must watch. Kang Ji Hwan and Han Ji Min. I love both of them

Wow!!! You’re really a KJH fans thru and thru (me too).
Love this drama too. It has a nice story and soundtrack and the chemistry was just right. The colors of clothes he wore in this drama was so ludicrous and no one would be caught dead wearing them, even in that era but for some reason he pulled it off and it looks good on him. Highly recommended indeed. Very good romance drama in the middle of politically charged 1930′s Seoul.

Wow!!! I was backtracking KDrama listing like crazy, looking for one particular KANG JI HWAN’s drama profiles. I was stalking this guy who shot an arrow though my heart after watching his excellent performance as HONG GIL DONG, thus I found his previous CAPITAL SCANDAL drama, a drama he starred in right before HGD. So with my 5 days off, I barricaded and confined myself in my apartment like a cave woman to satisfy my curiosity. And oh boy! did he delivered! I can’t believed I’ve never seen this guy before in any of the drama I’ve watched. He is so talented! He has probably the most powerful expressive eyes I’ve ever seen. And when he smiles, sigh!!! you get this warm fuzzy feeling permeates your whole being. I never tried drugs, but this must be it. It induces such strong reactions from you that you want it again and again. Not to mention his good looks and charms is only icing on the cake. What got me the most is the velocity of his acting, He can switch from drama to comedy in a blink of an eye with no effort at all. He got me carried away and brought me to his LA LA LAND in a good way, that I forgot a world exist for a moment. The scene between him and Ryu Jin as Soo Hyun got me crying 2X!! I would have never dreamt that a bromance between these 2 would reduce me to tears, but they had me bawling my eyes out. A 2 sided love story set in the early 30′s in the middle of a politically charged era. It was so light hearted that the politics become secondary in the story. It was more of the story of their lives that got affected by the revolution. These 4 characters were delivered beautifully with amazing chemistry between all the casts. I can’t forget Han Go Eun as Cha Song Joo words: she said a country maybe embroiled in a revolution that feel like it is winter but Love still blossoms like a spring. Or KJH’s as Woo Wan’s outrageous declaration of love to Han Ji Min as Na Yu Kyung “It may take one person to go on revolution but it takes 2 to make love, so lets make love” (“,) This had me laughing. There were a lot of funny and wonderful words play in this drama that I thoroughly enjoyed it. highly recommended even though you’re not a KANG JI HWAN fans…but after watching him here, I doubt it if you’ll not turn into one.

I really love KANG JI HWAN. I had watched this drama last April 30, 2010. I hope i could also have a love class with him! haha..I envy Na Yeo Kyung when she hugged and kissed Kang Ji hwan! I love you Kang Ji hwan! I hope we got to see you live here in Philippines! Jiayou, hong gil dong! Saranghae sun woo wan!

I saw Kang Ji Hwan for the first time in this drama. He’s super cool and great looking guy!!! Man, I hope I can see his other drama as well.
Both KJW & Ryu Jin are looking really great in this drama ^o^

I agree about Kang Ji Hwan’s performance. He have excellent talent that never found in other actors. He can translete his role as well with his varrious expression, face, eyes, and body language. And I have difficulty to compare him with other because he is a few actor who can act in varrious genre with velocity as his role. Not only talking about his face or perfect body, for this reason, the analysts will see from other view, and its very trouble if public in Korean can’t see it. His movie’s and dramas absolutely have strong idea and storyline too. So I will ask how come? How Korean’s view to see it. I suggest to his producer and management to promote him in abroad (MUST BE TRY) . He will more be accepted by audiences. Not only in triangle country japan-Korean-China, but more larger areas like Asian country at all to prove it. Kang Ji Hwan, you are brilliant, so do best and work harder. I a m sure will be success, you have uniqeness as difference. Hope we can see your show in my country, Indonesia. Ciao!!

inspite of being an underrated drama…i think this drama is the best drama of 2007.the comedy is natural and fine..ALL IN ALL ..CHEERS TO THIS DRAMA
