This drama is sooooo good and the commentors, during the scenes are HILARIOUS! Yay! Why are these women getting so much flack for dancing in an elevator! Old ahjummas????? 30ish is old? CRAZY!!! I wish I could have joined them! LOL!

Fa Ja! ….and Seol Hee are my favorites. They all were really into that mall fight scene (poor mall stall owners)…though the funny part was Fa Ja bouncing on the huge flower pot/container that covered 2 men’s heads! No wonder she was limping and had mascara smudged eye makeup! Plus…everyone’s hair….RLOL!

Must watch drama – Gumiho – Tale of a Fox child. – The picture look scary but actually the drama is not scary but exciting. The actors and actresses including the kids all acted very very well.
Jung Kyu & Yeon Yi met the 1st time & catching fire flies at the river side – so sweet

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho (a comedy) – also very nice – will have lol

One more thing….go go gooooo Tae Hyn! She’s more than a musical investment for him…just like his sweetie son Noo Ri (oh…I like his name) said, teasingly to him! He just hasn’t admitted it, yet…probably because of Hyena threatening to take Noo Ri from him! Tae Hyn has so much sordid info on that woman, but because of their son, he doesn’t want to defame her! Well…I’m really looking forward to seeing what the writers are going to do with her! Will this leopard have an intervention, that will cause her to change her spots to become a solid, loving…(well at least headed in that direction) woman? Actually, she has too much control in Tae Hyn’s life when it comes to their child. She can scold him about something petty…then she turns around and commits all sorts of atrocities, even disappointing the child without feeling any remorse! On top of that…just like I sensed would happen…react to Seol Hee’s presence around her son! Her butt alone needs to get nailed to the wall for all to see! This time…I’m not changing my mind…no matter how the writers change her portrayal going forward!

    USA-Mary Says:

I really like Seol Hee’s character more and more…and just like I said…Ji Wook really did and still does care for Seol Hee and misses her, but is hiding it from his mother and Seung Hye. Gosh…what a miserable puppet!

The writers of this drama are marvelous! Now they have Seung Hyena…(oops that na implusively keeps wanting to attach itself as an ending to her name) thinking that she’s going to be by Ji Wook’s side and will try to win him over…as I see it…working on him, so that he can stand up to his family on her behalf! Her…get accepted into Ji Wook’s family! Even after over-hearing the conversation between he and his mother about her, that brought tears to her eyes! Ohhhh…nooooo….she’s not going to get pregnant like Seol Hee in order to get into the family and even hinted at that to Ji Wook while leaving, LATE…to get to her son’s birthday party at school! So what other card does she have…definitely not her social standing! I’m encouraging her to GO FOR IT…hurry up and perform before Ji Wook’s mother like the shark ‘jaws’ in pure, squeaky-clean debutante clothing! Ji Wook’s mother and sister-in-laws will have her running away from that family so fast, she’ll be like an upright dolphin…skiiing through the water as she flees! hehehe That’s just my take and having my say! hehehe

Hmmm… We think too similarly… I too didn’t think much about KJE in Lovers’ In Paris and Lovers. And like you, love her in this drama. She really shines here!

Also couldn’t wait for the divorce and whole court case to be over. It has lasted for too many episodes. But I like the way Seol Hee ended her case. She’s one classy lady!

    kdrama_fan Says:

It looks to me Episode 9 was a respite for the drama except the very last scene. When Ji Wook showed up in the emergency room, my eyes were welling. I felt pity on Seol Hee for not taking care of herself. Ji Wook, you are dumb, but you still care her well-being in your heart. That one scene was good enough for Episode 9.

    USA-Mary Says:

@kdrama_fan. Ji Wook’s facial expression does present a mixture of feelings towards him, I agree wholeheartedly with you! I believe that Ji Wook’s reaction is a factor…even if it is a small one, inclusive of Seol Hee’s response along with the band…that caused the episode rating to go up one notch on the episode grid on this page!

Even if they don’t play professionally, they are winging it like pros…for sure! If they were to play professionally and made a tour here in the U.S., I’d seriously go to watch them perform. It would be the first, all female band that I would pay to watch perform!

    kdrama_fan Says:

    @35 USA-Mary

Thank you for your thoughtful analysis. I do not know whether I am overjoyed by watching Ji Wook’s painful facial expressions or am simply sad. He is losing his adorable wife because of his selfishness. He has succumbed to his mother’s pressure. He suddenly realizes how lovely Seol Hee is. I want to believe that his mind ran fast reminiscing all of these regrets and a few good, loving moments in their marriage during the court hearing. He realized that he would be the loser in the end.

Drama is a fiction but a good tool to tell or teach us a lesson or two. Hope we, the audience, can think about the life and learn a few lessons from this (uplifting-to-be) drama, too.

    USA-Mary Says:

Okay….IAL folks! Here goes the mature side of me that understands about life! In Seol Hee’s closing remark to her husband…I get her point! I know, I know…I’m actually not being a turncoat, I just understand how the laws work that govern life for those who are good-natured, don’t give up and perservere! She said from the beginning, that its not about the money…it’s actually the principle of the matter to reveal the truth! Ji Wook could have told her that he was in love with her…then changed during the course of their marriage! Instead of saying he never was in love with her (his biggest mistake/regret)!

I even, now get and accept the understanding from her point of view about not accepting his money because she didn’t want to be bond to him in any kind of way to control her life going forward. Actually, that’s not stupidity or pride…that’s gaining total freedom! (Ahem…I still would have liked to have seen their faces if she had shown that dvd in court-hehehe…okay, I’ll behave now…back to my point)! His character acts like the type that would remind her that she owes him and would issue more restraints when it comes to her band and where they perform! Not that she would comply, she doesn’t want to struggle with it…just cut all emotional ties NOW! Seol Hee…You Go Girl! I, personally, could see the hurt in his eyes after she told him why she’s rejecting the money (well his drinking hard liquor from the bottle couldn’t chase the pain of his regret away…hmmm)! Seung Soo is also a very good actor with very expressive eyes, and handsome too, with his mean, JW character self! hehehe He may be with that Seung Hyena…oops Hye person, but I sense he’s not going away from Seol Hee to quickly or easily! I look forward to seeing how the writers plan for him to slither up around her! ~smile~ Come Back Madonna may even perform at a function that he attends or one held in his honor…dun dun dun dun dunnnnn…only the writers know! LOL!

  10. 35
    USA-Mary Says:

    Re episode 8!

Come Back Madonna has great stage presence!

I like the song Seol Hee sang in the studio after she arrived home from her walk along the bridge. She’s singing the SK Blues!

In ep. 8, Hwa Ja looks like Pebbles Flintstone with her hairstyle and outfit!

Seung Hye and Ji Wook’s mother could open a broom riding company!

  11. 34
    USA-Mary Says:

@kdrama_fan! I beleve there will be a few love tiangles happening! If only due to selfishness and emotional connections from their past relationships, now broken! So far, there are only Ji Wook and Seung Hye. If Seol Hee and Tae Hyun get together…don’t you know that Seung Hye will throw a tantrum that would surpass a 2 year old toddler in a crowded grocery store when told by his mother that he/she can’t have a cookie out of the package and has to wait until he/she gets home! Especially the thought of SH being around her son, too! OMG…Utter chaos! (Personally, I’d make copies of the tape and would remind her of it-but I’m not the writer)! Also…even though Ji Wook acts like he doesn’t care…he couldn’t have done that much pretending during their courtship and on that dvd (I believe he really cared for her and had regrets just like you said)! Truthfully, there’s not a man that was with a woman for that length of time, pretending or not, made a baby together…that wouldn’t become jealous of another man taking his place! Even if they are divorced…he wouldn’t like it…even if he doesn’t have the right to comment…in his once upon a time, conquested mind…he still does have some say…even with his outrageious, adulterous behind! LOL! Well, we’ll see what happens!

    @USA-Mary

I saw that Seol Hee’s husband Ji Wook agonized about all the things happened and/or the things he did not care for. I am sure many regrets have crossed his mind. I hope he can help her in some way so that she can pursue her dream. That is my wish. However, it is an absurd wish, I know. The writers may lead the story to such direction. Then, I may not like the story, since it looks irrational to me, even though I want to see the drama that way. Maybe, drama is like that, a collection of strange twists. At least this drama does not have any birth secrets, illicit child, love triangle, or other corny, illogical plots. Let us watch some more episodes to see how the story takes turns.

I expect your elucidating comments, i.e., enlighten us. It is my pleasure to read your comments here or in CITY HALL. I enjoy reading your thought-provoking comments.

when do the 5 u-kiss members (kevin, soohyun, kibum, kiseop, dong ho) appear in this drama? can’t wait to see them playing instruments and act..answer me please..thanks a lot..

  14. 31
    USA-Mary Says:

@kdrama_fan. I wholeheartedly agree…it is truly an uplifting story of perserverance! It shows how good will follow those who are good natured in their hearts after being treated unfairly! I try very hard not to be hasty when I made that remark about not continuing to watch it. Because I always give the writers a chance to redeem themselves! I have seen some dramas that turned out so bad and crazy…I wished I hadn’t wasted my time expecting situations to turn around for good or at least turn out to make some sense! I’m quickly becoming more objective in my approach to others creative storylines…somewhat going with the flow of their ultimate outcome (but sometimes I still find myself questioning…why)! Then conclude with, writer’s choice! Yet, after watching ep. 8…and for some reason, I understood where the writers are taking this drama! I too was still disappointed about the dvd she didn’t show the court, but from the writers point of view…she proved a pivotal point in her defense…plus, why inihilate and kill off the bad guys so soon! By the way…did you notice Ji Wook’s facial expression and eyes during the whole scene! Actually, I kind of sensed from the beginning that her husband will be hanging around for a while and really does care about her, but his MOTHER is a persuasive devil on his shoulder, sort to speak, talking in his ear…grrrr! I must say that my interest for this drama has been stirred, she does get a job and…SHE WILL COME BACK (tune to the Madonna’s song)! Looking forward to the next episodes!

    @ USA-Mary

I agree with you about strange twists the writers embed to the story. Plain ridiculous. Episode 8 is, I think, a major disappointment. Jun Seol Hee decided not to use the dvd in the court. Is she an angel or what? Immediately after that, she was having difficulty to pay her bills. Do the writers understand what the dignity means to one’s life? Laughable! The story does not have to depict Jun Seol Hee is an angel. Plain absurd. Jang Tae Hyun looks so young, not a good match to Jun Seol Hee. There is no chemistry. Definitely, not like in CITY HALL. Two CITY HALL alums are playing very different roles here. Oh Seung Hye as a lawyer is a mean woman. I hate to see her. In other words, she must be acting well or her dialog may be very inflammatory. Even with all these frustrating shortcomings, I will continue to watch the drama. It is still an uplifting story to me.

    USA-Mary Says:

I like this drama, but the writers didn’t make Park Ki Chul angry enough, crazy enough, and hungry enough for revenge towards Ji Wook! That little punch in the stomach while in the bathroom should have been a grand beat down after making him lose everything and become homeless! He should have been become like Nemo since so much water was avaiable!

Ki Chul should have been made to go for the jugular vein like these two vampire attorneys do. They suck a person dry, then eat them alive…all in one setting! They shouldn’t be allowed to even remember what daylight looks like from their jail cell! No conscience at all! If the writers don’t have JSH reveal the dvd to the court…I’m done with this drama! REALLY…that would be pass ridiculous! Nobody…I repeat, nobody that’s an adult is that soft-hearted when you KNOW that someone is set out to destroy your life and you have legitimate evidence exposing their debauchery and perjury! Being nice in this case is just plain STUPID!

I was not impressed with Kim Jun Eun in Lover\’s in Paris and Lovers. However, in this drama she rocks. I wish the justice prevails soon so that the drama does not drag with court fighting. The Come-back-Madonna-band’s songs are beginning to please my ears, too.
