Synopsis
School is based on a popular series that was released in 1999 and aired until 2002. It deals with the issues that teenagers face in high school. This will be the fifth season and ten years since the last season.

I love Lee Jong Suk in SG n Hi Kick3. In this drama, he plays a nice guy w no direction. I hope his char finds himself, n gets the prettiest girl in the class!
Kim Won Bin did a good job in AGD. He just appears in ep 3. He’ll add to the dynamics among the top dogs n underdogs in the class.
Daniel Choi n Jang Nara will fall in love as teachers? And DC will then become less cynical?

I got interested in Go Nam Soon. He lets the class bullies kick him around, literally, yet you can see that he is not afraid of them. He endures the beatings w an air of impatience, like, Let’s get this over with. So, it is clear that he can fight, just that he doesn’t want to.
Then when the new guy joins them, Nam Soon is all nice to him. PPl think that he is afraid of the new guy, whereas it looks like NS is taking care of him. I think they have a past, in which NS has done sth that hurts the guy a lot, so he is atoning for his sin.
Perhaps that’s why he ‘wants to throw himself away’, like he told his classmate. His is feeling guilty abt sth.

When you were absent on Faith thread for a short time, we talked about LMH’s acting and how he has grown to a mature actor through his dramas. Then i told tigerb about “that xx” who is totally stuck up in one role for a long time without slight improvement but since he has lots of fans, i couldn’t dare to write his name and wanted tigerb to guess who he is with the hint “you should watch one of the mega hits of the year, You are beautiful”. You can guess who we are talking about, right?

I agree with everything you wrote. I also feel NS has hurt him in a way and he is more afraid of himself rather than HS. NS seems to be a good boy. But maybe he wasn’t this good before. He has done something wrong but made HS take the blame. That’s why he has changed his school 5 times.

Sometimes an actor has to get a real challenging role to tease out better acting in him. LMH’s acting has taken a step fwd in Faith. Micky’s sure has in IMY. Other times an actor has to go thru a life-changing experience for his acting to show drastic improvement, like 2 years in the army, or death of a dear one, like a dad. Maybe the person you guys were talking abt has yet to go thru sth like that.
The miracle is when sb like Yeo Jin Gu shows up at 15 and NAILS every performance, n everyone goes, How does he do that? I think it is genius.
Lee Jong Suk is also doing a bang up job here. His pained expressions r subtle, varied n graduated.
I didn’t expect to care abt this show, but now I do!

Daniel Choi was born in 1986, which makes him 26! He looks 30-32 in this show.
Park Si Hoo was born in 1978, which makes him 34, a whole 8 years older, but he looks 28-30 in Alice.
Isn’t that amazing?
Then Lee Jong Suk was born in 1989, which makes him 23! He looks 18-19 in this show. Flower Boy indeed!

I hadn’t seen Jang Nara b4. I knew she was a singer. So I thought she was an idol turned actress. I was under the impression that she was a teenager. My mistake. Here she looks quite a bit older than your average fresh univ graduate, of 22 or 23, no?

Wow, JN is older than DC. I can’t believe it. I didn’t bother to check DC, JN age but reading your comment, my jaw dropped. I love this drama and i hope it can explore deeper in personal lives of main characters. Specially i’m so curious to know why JO is too wild and NS is too timid.

Ep 5 is great. Teacher Jung is the central character and we can see more of her, how she deals with students and teacher Kang. Also we have a chance to have some clues on main characters.
The best scene is teacher Jung punishing her students while the one who is punished the most is herself. Super loved this scene.
I got interested in HS too. He rarely talks, doesn’t do anything and just stares at an unknown point but you can’t ignore his presence. What happened between them we yet to find.
