Synopsis
This family drama will tell the story, love, hate, reconciliation and relationship between a father who separates with his daughter.
Seo Yeong (Lee Bo Young) is a tough woman who tries to escape the harsh life of poverty with a strong passion to gain success, overcome her lower status and rise in society. I seen Episode 36 today. I cried as Seo Yeong has to be confronted by Hee Jin (ex girl of Lee Sang Yoon) and she has to reveal to Lee’s family about the truth that she was not an orphan. Knowing that Sang Yoon knew about the truth and treated her badly, she walked off after placing her divorced papers on the table of her in-laws.
She has married Sang Yoon after serious consideration of his family background compared to her. She even forgo getting pregnant as she afraid that Sang Yoon will leave her. It was a sad episode.
I was admiring Sang Yoon for initial early marriage when he treated her so well and never imagine he took it so seriously when he knew the secret and did many things to hurt her (drinking, going back late, getting social escort to be with him etc et). I supported Seo Yeong to leave him since he did not give her a chance to explain her reasons of her leaving her family for his sake. At this point, Sang Yoon cannot be given and should be taught a lesson to live without her.

I am part of the cheering team for supporting seoyoung to move on with her life. No doubt she made a mistake but no reason to make up for it if the rest don’t have big enough hearts to let her do so. But the better reason is to get to see another round of wooing from ujae to get her back..yippee!

I feel so sorry for all the characters in Woo Jae’s house. Not that they had bad intentions, but sometimes things just happened and people involved got hurt. So glad Seo Yeong still has a friend by her side.

just finished epi 31 n enjoyed watching LSW n CHJ’s wedding…altho LSY (lee seo yeong) had to hide herself fr her dad’s view n risk being discovered…LSY is indeed a very complex character; she longs to belong to her family once again but does not want to risk losing her new found, comfortable, high status lifestyle with KWJ (ujae)…
actually, her fears are unfounded coz KWJ is a simple, straight forward guy n he’ll surely accept her family no matter rich or poor…n all this game of pretense n lies will only make KWJ hate her more…
LSY had been given more than one chance of coming clean with KWJ but she stubbornly refuses to divulge her only secret…thus creating an ever growing wedge of misunderstanding between herself n KWJ n when KWJ discovered she had secretly been taking contraceptives but still pretended to be innocent n went along with her mother-in-law to d gynae for fertility treatments; KWJ blew his top n demanded they divorce coz he couldnt live with her lies n all….
back to LSW n CHJ’s wedding nite…its hilarious how d couple spent their first nite together….CHJ’s too cute n naive…she’s so sweet! LSW is too handsome n it’ll be fun watching how he’s gonna win over her love!

epi 32:
KWJ’s attempts to bait LSY into confessing to her lie has somewhat backfired on him….eventho LSY’s been pushed to d wall with threats of divorce, she remains undaunted n is prepared to lose everything instead. i presume KWJ is playing a game of poker’s bluff here with his wife but LSY is taking up his offer of divorce without a moment’s hesitation, much to d chagrin of KWJ! LSY is truly a tough nut to crack n KWJ is already losing patience with her.
as i see it, KWJ n LSY’s marriage is headed to doomsville if neither one of them gives in or gives up each other’s stubborn pursuit for honesty n/or deception… when d solution is actually very clear cut but due to ego n pride problems suffered by LSY, both are made to suffer unhappy consequences.

Thou Seoyang lied, and was tormented for doing so. I would of denounce my “nimrod” of a father, he continued to disrupt her life with no regrets. Her hubby is a joke, his attitude!!!

tho i do not profess to understand KWJ’s (ujae) persistence in dragging out d whole truth fr his dishonest wife…i can imagine his anguish on discovering LSY (lee seo yeong) as not who she declares herself to be i.e. he had fallen in love n married someone who had deceived him into believing what she is not n that in itself is very frightening to him…
while his nightmare has taken a hiatus when other problems had surfaced in his family…d uncovering of a skeleton in their closet…seongjae’s biological mom turns out to be yoon so mi, d personnel working closely with his dad n who had kept this secret under wraps for so long…chaos had erupted between his parents n seongjae is feeling distraught ovr this latest development.

ive been following d raw version coz i can understand a lil bit of conversational korean…
you’ve to be patient in following this drama coz its such a gem n every single epi is absorbing n interesting…no boring stuff here!
tho i admire LSY’s (lee seo young) strong spirit n independence in pursuing a different path of life after her divorce, i cant help but mull over d drastic consequences of her actions n d pain she has caused to all those ppl around her be they family or in laws…
on d one hand, she loves KWJ (ujae) very much but due to her personal battle over ego n pride, she lets her marriage go without a fight…while KWJ is still hurting n wants her back n has started to woo her once again. if only she had stopped for a moment to think abt ways to amend her wrong doing…paused n think abt her lovely husband…she would not have taken d easy way out; all these according to her, is happening bcoz she could not face KWJ n his family ovr her deception…she very well knew this whole sad episode will happen d day she accepted KWJ’s marriage proposal.
