Synopsis
The drama is based on famous folklore.
A nobleman named Kim Eun Oh (Lee Joon Ki) comes to town searching for his mother after hearing a rumor that she is staying at the village of Miryang. He has the special ability to see spirits, but pretends he doesn’t because he gets annoyed when spirits come up to him asking for a favor.
Arang (Shin Min Ah) has lost all her memories when she became a ghost and is unable to rest in peace until she finds out how she ended up dead. However, after appearing to three magistrates, none of them survive the fright of seeing her. When she finds out that Eun oh is able to see her, she begs for his help.
At first, Eun Oh rejects her request. However he changes his mind after seeing that Arang is somehow in possession of the hairpin that he gave his mother at their last meeting. He believes that if he helps her, Arang will regain her memories and give him information about his mother. He exasperatedly (then affectionately) nicknames her “Amnesia” and as the town’s newly installed magistrate, he teams up with her to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death, which may involve the mysterious nobleman Joo Wal (Yun Woo Jin) and have supernatural ramifications.
As Eun Oh and Arang gradually unravel the mystery behind her death, they find out the events that have been set in motion have been a trap of the Jade Emperor, in his attempt to capture a rogue Fairy of Heaven who feeds on human souls. The gods cannot touch her as long as she is in a human body. Arang and Eun Oh’s participation in the events is crucial because this Fairy also happens to be the sister of Moo Young, the Grim Reaper of Hades, who cannot forget the love he once bore for his sister and is unable to bring her to justice. It is later revealed that the Jade Emperor saved Eun Oh as a child from a deadly sickness, resulting in his ability to see spirits. He also set Arang free from the bonds of the Grim Reaper after her death, thereby making her a spirit who roams the earth. In this game of supernatural stakes, Arang and Eun Oh who fall in love gradually have to pay the price because Arang has only three full moons in which to solve the mystery of her death and defeat their enemy…(Source)

@Tonberry #2374 I like your theory that the “ultimate weapon”is EN and not Arang. It’s a big possiblity and it fits. I am thinking that maybe EN’s father too was involved in the killing of the ghouls. So the fan could have been inherited from his father as well. Hmph, this is getting super exciting!

Oh, and before I forget… freaking Lord Choi and his bricks-of-fury! LMAO. Where does he get them? He never runs out no matter how many of them he chucks at people’s heads. It’s hilarious! Why a brick every time? It’s so random. Lol. How about giving him something else to throw… like a shoe or a chamber pot?

-Oh yeah, I forgot about that magic mirror thing. At least I think it’s a mirror. It could be a portal or a door to somewhere. The surface of it is really dull and murky. Maybe when she looks inside, her real form is revealed. Or maybe that is where she keeps Eunoh mom’s soul when she took over her body. Or maybe that mirror is a heavenly object, and the witch stole it when she escaped to earth. So many possibilities!
-And yeah, I noticed how carefree Arang was when those guys surrounded Eunoh. Lol. She was totally confident that Eunoh was gonna kick their asses. Maybe she doesn’t trust him to care about her, but when it’s them against the world, she knows he’s got her back. This totally goes with her personality. Like how she stood up for him against Lord Choi, then afterwards poke fun at him for the same thing Lord Choi was mocking him for? Lol.
-I love it when he fights in his magistrate clothes. The skirt part spins around his legs when he does that spin-kick move and it looks really cool.
-Oh, you think maybe Lord Kim was involved in this supernatural, war-of-the-ghosts stuff? Interesting. I never considered that before. Maybe he is the one who gave Eunoh that fan. But he’s not the one who taught Eunoh martial arts, right? Eunoh learned that from a master who lives in the mountains. I hope we get a flashback or something. I’m really curious about this master.

Unnie actually i’ve only saw 2 dramas of SJK…i really like his handsome baby face…i’m still trying to catch up with his old movies and dramas, i just recently became his fan in deep rooted tree but i really liked his character in SKKS. thanks for that!

*i mean…the teacher seems important to EO coz remember when DS was scolding EO that he thought EO’s connection to his crazy teacher was over, and now EO (his excuse to DS of what his relationship with Arang was) is taking care of his master/teacher’s daughter…DS said that he was searching for EO for 2 years (not sure if its 2) when he went training in the mountains with that crazy teacher of him.
why would he train so hard?is it also a preparation for revenge?he said that his mom always mention “that guy” and she will take her revenge. maybe EO also wanted to help his mom, so he can get the mom he wants.

Just done watching raw of ep10!There’s a scene that I felt like I was stab by a knife right thru my heart where ‘Love and Love’ost by Baek Ji Young was played, it truly compliment that scene and it made me cry even I dunno their convos lol!Hmmm,there’s no preview for ep11 guess the most anticipating kiss gonna happen in the next ep!Ep10 is full of love between the 2 couples Arang and Sato and Dol Swe and Bang Wul!Oh,I just love the amazing chemistry of Arang and Sato!I’m totally fallen deeply inluv.Though, they’re both in denial with their feelings but I can feel that they love each other so much!

hahaha di nya type cguro ang bf mo na c SJK!Well,in SKKS the actor who truly captured my attention at first sight was the hiccup guy I dunno his name….you know the reasons why I love sageuks coz of the amazing fighting scenes,the amazing using of swords,the dialect they used,the costumes,their hairstyles and most of all the actors showed alot of emotions in portraying their roles!That’s I love the hiccup guy:) he looks so cool with the black outfit it reminds me of Iljimae and Bidam in QSD!And Park Shi Hoo wearing that black ninja suit looks so effing hot!hahaha

It must becos Satto’s mother has been used by Mu Eun, that he is being given a chance (by the 2 old men in heaven) to right this wrong against heaven and hell, and to liberate his mother in the process.
I thought there must be a special story behind the reason he could see ghosts. But the way he tells it, it isn’t extraordinary. It’d be interesting to find out how he came by the fan, which Mu Young reasons must be an item from heaven.
Heavenly King’s hairstyle has been changed, but is still ahjumma-ish.

Done watching ep 10
Ep10
- the ost “One Day” sang by Lee Jun Ki which I most anticipate to hear is finally played in this ep! lab it!
-I love the scene where Sato felt embarrassed by the sudden question of Arang… asking him if he likes her lol and just to cover the tensions around them, he instead scolded Arang… telling her where she get those stupid ideas that someone like a person if he is worried about her?My gawd Sato, be true to urself coz when u starting to care a person like you did to Arang ,it’s already love lol! you’re such a denial king LMAO!But anyways, his actions speak louder than his words.
-and when Arang told him not to fall inlove with her coz she only have 2 more leaf months left and soon she will disappear…that scene was daebak for me coz I was totally moved for the first time with the song (“Love and Love” of Baek Ji Young) playing in the background coz it truly compliment with the scene and it made me cry!LOL!
-In this ep Sato showed that he’s got a heart by helping the little boy,he might be cold and blunt but deep inside his heart he’s such a nice person
and I can see that Sato will become the hero in the eyes of the ppl and one day become the ruler of Miryang.
-I also love the chemistry of Dol Swe and Bang Wol they look so good together and both very hilarious!
-and one thing for sure Sato wasn’t scared or even threatened by lord Choi’s character, I like the way how he threatened the servant of Lord Choi.. it’s like don’t dare messed up with him and you will know what you’re looking for!LOL!. And everytime Lord Choi was pissed off he end up hitting his servant. Poor old man LOL!hayz,I just love everytime Sato and Lord Choi crossed path coz LJK looks so serious and I love his voice when he get so serious coz he’s so damn manly and his facial expression was daebak!
-My most fave scene was the last part of this ep,when Sato starting to show his feelings towards Arang by showing that wonderful place full of beautiful flowers which he remembered that Arang loves flowers and want to be born as a flower,that’s why he brought Arang in that place…ohhh my!he’s so sweet
, at least this time he do the first move 
soo luv it! and also that scene where he buy a new hanbok for Arang and told her to throw the one from Ju Wal…I find him so possessive over Arang lol and it truly tickled my toes!
And what was that in the last part?are they about to kiss? Are we going to see the most anticipating kiss in ep11?lol just wondering why there’s no preview for ep11?what a bummer!

A lot of dramas stop automatically giving previews tagged onto the end of the even numbered eps, starting at the half way pt. You might have to wait till 1 to 2 days before the airing of next week’s ep to get them, or sometimes not at all.
