Synopsis
The drama is based on famous folklore.
A nobleman named Kim Eun Oh (Lee Joon Ki) comes to town searching for his mother after hearing a rumor that she is staying at the village of Miryang. He has the special ability to see spirits, but pretends he doesn’t because he gets annoyed when spirits come up to him asking for a favor.
Arang (Shin Min Ah) has lost all her memories when she became a ghost and is unable to rest in peace until she finds out how she ended up dead. However, after appearing to three magistrates, none of them survive the fright of seeing her. When she finds out that Eun oh is able to see her, she begs for his help.
At first, Eun Oh rejects her request. However he changes his mind after seeing that Arang is somehow in possession of the hairpin that he gave his mother at their last meeting. He believes that if he helps her, Arang will regain her memories and give him information about his mother. He exasperatedly (then affectionately) nicknames her “Amnesia” and as the town’s newly installed magistrate, he teams up with her to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death, which may involve the mysterious nobleman Joo Wal (Yun Woo Jin) and have supernatural ramifications.
As Eun Oh and Arang gradually unravel the mystery behind her death, they find out the events that have been set in motion have been a trap of the Jade Emperor, in his attempt to capture a rogue Fairy of Heaven who feeds on human souls. The gods cannot touch her as long as she is in a human body. Arang and Eun Oh’s participation in the events is crucial because this Fairy also happens to be the sister of Moo Young, the Grim Reaper of Hades, who cannot forget the love he once bore for his sister and is unable to bring her to justice. It is later revealed that the Jade Emperor saved Eun Oh as a child from a deadly sickness, resulting in his ability to see spirits. He also set Arang free from the bonds of the Grim Reaper after her death, thereby making her a spirit who roams the earth. In this game of supernatural stakes, Arang and Eun Oh who fall in love gradually have to pay the price because Arang has only three full moons in which to solve the mystery of her death and defeat their enemy…(Source)

just done watching ep 9… And its crazily lovable… I love every m0ment… The fight scenes was so cool kn0wing that LJK doesnt have doubles… Its so great., the chemistry of main characters blooms every episodes… So kakakilig!!! Hehehe!

done watching ep 10… whoever said that ep 9 & 10 were full of love… Two thumbs up!!! definitely awesome…. i have questions regarding with the flow of story but just ignore it.. i can wait for the answer.. haha!!! for the meantime i’ll just feel the love between the love birds.. LOL! LJK is really so lovable.. who’s girl wouldn’t love her even if it’s a ghost… LOL! hmmm.. what will happen next? ahhhhhh!! can’t wait..

I checked out the OST for this drama. Nice work. “Black Moon” is a track Shin Min Ah sings. A harmonica version unfortunately failed as the harmonica was played on keyboard. So lifeless, so very wrong. Whoever made the decision to not use a true harmonica player, (everyone join in) Chonaaahh! Please have him punished, Chonaaah!
Jang Jae In sings a track which no-longer plays in later episodes. It’s unfortunate that it didn’t get a proper placement, as it captures Arang’s sweet innocence as well her plight so perfectly. I would rearrange the tune to give it that immediacy it needs, and re-introduce it as a centerpiece with the rest of the episodes. Woaaah! Imagine that eh?
Producers and/or directors often overlook the music. They don’t always understand how it can add depth and dimension to the visual. If done right, music can create that lingering feeling that one gets long after watching.

@GirL_KicK_AsS #2479 Hey thanks for that link. Gee I like his singing. He’s surprisingly good, but I don’t think much of the tune. Note I said “tune” which means the lyrics maybe fine. The instrumentation as well as the singing all good. The song itself is uninspired. It’s an excercise in “chewing the chewed”. People who write such things and allow it to be unleashed to an unsuspecting public, ought to be locked up. It ought to be a crime. The composer prostituted his talent one time too many, and lost sight of sincerity, integrity and heart.
Or he’s clueless.

Wow, things r coming to a head!
I don’t get why Satto is so angry w Mu Young, who is only looking for some answers regarding the source of the hairpin n the fan.
So Satto’s life has been given to him by Jade himself. That’s why he can see ghosts. I think the fan was also a gift from Jade. Does that mean that Satto also cannot die? Who is the Sabo who trained him in kung fu?
Looks like in Heaven there are only pretty fairies who r female. In Hell, there r only death reapers, male. No wonder Jade is happy go lucky, n Hades is so grumpy!
Now that I’m used to Mu Young ashen complexion, I find him good-looking.
Now Satto n Arang can no longer deny their affection for each other. Hee.
I thought Satto was coming face to face w his mother. He’d recognize him for sure, but would she, possessed by Mu Yeon, recognize him? Maybe not.
Poor Mu Yeon made a lousy trade. She was such a pretty angel, but now she has to reside in a body w a scary face.

*most fave scene was when Arang was slashed by a bandit that made Satto worried to death…when I saw the scene I feel like the world stopped in a second, that I need some oxygen coz it made me stop breathing lol that was goosebumps overload scene!
*Second,the scene where Arang recovered consciousness.. it was very sweet of Arang to be worried so much for Satto…they looked like they were lovers in that scene.^^
*The fight scene between Satto and Mu Young was a kick ass! I want more fighting scenes from them. Is It really possible that Mu Young will betray the gods and join forces with his sister Mu Yeon?For me I would love that to happen lol I want him to become the villain coz it truly suits him and made him the strong opponent of Satto hahaha I want them fight and see those amazing stunts!
*Finally it’s confirmed that Jadey went down on earth and gave Satto a second life. So, it was Jadey who gave Satto the magical fan?.hmm.., I guess its Jadey!
*and finally we saw the real Mo Yeon

After saving the unconscious little boy who grows up to become Satto, Jade says to him: From now on, your life isn’t yours; and you owe me a favor. So Jade fully expects Satto to do sth for him at the appropriate time. No wonder Satto can see ghosts and all!
