Synopsis
‘Ghost’ tells the story of the cyber investigation squad fights against the cyber crimes.
Kim Woo Hyun (So Ji Sub) is the only son of a high ranking police officer. He entered the police academy ranked first and graduated from the academy ranked first. As a detective, he then joins the cyber investigation department together with Yoo Gang Mi (Lee Yeon Hee). Woo Hyun then works to reveal the secrets of those that hide within the cyber world.

I started watching this, and of course the title is misleading. This is a cyber crime thriller and no connection whatsoever to the supernatural. And so far the incompetence of our star police cyber-crimes unit does not foster confidence. Lets hope it gets better.

In his younger days, SJS was like an Asian James Dean, specializing in playing broody, melancholic, rebellious young loners. This year he is 35 (born 1977). His looks have taken on a harder, more seasoned flavor. I think this role will suit him well–sb who is more at home in the cyber world than in the real world.

This drama started airing on 5/30. It has aired all of 2 eps. The subbing hadn’t been done yet when u watched. Let’s say u watched both eps, raw, n let’s say u understand every word. And on 6/2, you already declared it One of the best thriller drama of the year so far.

I think Woo Hyu’s character is too stiff. The writer’s need to improvise, if not everyone will end up rooting for Daniel.

i am getting confused. in episode 2 it appears that so ji subs character is turning from being the lead actor to being the villain.

I thought it would be a lousy drama but then the first two episodes got me… got me hard!… I am so stupid for expecting the drama to be somewhat boring but then I realized that So Ji Sup would never get a role that will not give his acting skills and good look some justice… Now, i can;t wait for next week episodes… hay!

This drama is really interesting. A lot of events are unexpected, especially at the end of episode two:) The commercial didn’t look good but they did a really good job with the first two episodes.

man this drama is so intense i love it!! i thought it would be boring… i was thinking how can the lead character die? and how can HE be the lead character if he was involve in the crime ??!! on the other hand, Daniel’ ChaRACTER gi young, i was thinking how can he play a small part (when he is also a big star?), i was expecting him to play the big role, then eventually it happened, his character was the lead but he has to change his appearance!! even though it’s not Daniel’s face their using im content that the real woo hyun is dead and DANIEL’s character got to live,i like that idea!! !

ummmmm…………. daniel will be the villain in this drama, what a spoiler. I have watched some of his dramas (Musical & Babyface Beauty) which he has the lead role as good guy. Anyway, I think he would be more popular than Woo Hyun in this drama. Woo Hyun too much of an innocent character that makes him look pale, innocent and boring.

The writers of this drama has given a twist in the storyline.
Firstly, Daniel and Woo Hyun are friends and also became cops together. Then Daniel went rouge because he was very frustrated with the law that was engulfed with bribery and unfairness in protecting the citizens.
In the end of episode 1 with the chemical factory being blown up, actually Woo Hyun died, but Daniel survived with severe burns which had made his face recognition difficult. The police assumed that the survivor is Woo Hyun but later in ep2 the lead lady found out the person is Daniel and she helped him in manipulating the dental records so that no one knows it is actually Daniel. Prior to helping Daniel, the lead lady found out what happened in the chemical factory which is why the lead lady was willing to help Daniel to cover his identity.
In recovering from his burns, plastic surgery was done for Daniel but with the assumption by everyone that the person is Woo Hyun, they reconstruction his face as Woo Hyun.
There is a villain in this story who actually killed the young actress, but the person has the face of Daniel.
In the ending of ep2, the person at Woo Hyun’s memorial is supposedly Daniel with Woo Hyun’s face.
Hope this explains the storyline in the first two episodes.

“There is a villain in this story who actually killed the young actress, but the person has the face of Daniel.” That’s because the real killer created that video to show Daniel as the killer. Daniel wasn’t the killer, and YGM and So Ji Sub knew that.

I’m so happy that So Ji Sub have new drama… & I like this. I can’t wait to continue watching so that the questions in my head will have an answer. Fighting!
