    Aya Says:

@Wasabi: Kim Sang Joong ajusshi and Son Hyun Joo ajusshi are well known enough in k-drama industry, but maybe because they’re not some ‘hot handsome young men’ so not many fans for them? but both of them have great acting.

Well, Son Hyun Joo and Kim Seugn Ryung were dating in “Definitely Neighbors”. But now they are to hate each other. Son Hyun Joo, I think, is one of great Korean actors. I love his acting. His acting is so natural. Kim Sang Jung was a (not so good) father to Lee Min Ho in “City Hunter”. It is interesting to see how Son Hyun Joo and Go Joon Hee interact in this drama. Based on the first two episodes, it seems to me that it will be a very entertaining and powerful drama.

The early story of the drama is heart-breaking. It is difficult to watch the suffering of Baek Hong Suk, losing everything he has treasured. I feel his pain. I wish he brings poetic justice to the corrupt, bad people in the drama.

I have just watched the first 2 episodes of this drama. The acting is really good. The heart-wrenching scenes had me teary-eyed. Am looking forward to the rest of the drama. Wish there would be more than 2 episodes per week though.

    Kdrama_fan Says:

It has an interesting story to tell. But after watching Episode 11, I kept wondering why the scriptwriter is trying to teach the audience of absurd logic of Kang Dong Yoon by repeating “When I was young, I did this and that.” Very stupid story telling. So many counter and counter-measures in the drama for unnecessary twists. I am tired of seeing Shin Hye Ra character played by Jang Shin Young. She is not convincing me of her conviction to become a politician, simply not believable of her acting.

  14. 14
    Kdrama_fan Says:

This Shin Hye Ra character does not make any sense at all to me (after watching Episode 13). She exercises too much of power, even though she is just an aide. Not logical. Of course, this is a drama so sometimes maybe illogical. But I do not believe that Korea is that corrupt for any politician and/or aide can wreak a havoc of this gargantuan scale. Simply unbelievable. The scriptwriter needs to be more sober and realistic.

    KDaddict Says:

This drama has two solid actors as the leads. It is dark in the beginning. But it just doubled its ratings. It started around 10% nation-wide to over 20% for ep 13. That’s quite a feat, which can’t be achieved without many merits. I’ll check it out.

    roxyalso Says:

I will watch this drama because I agree, the leads in this drama are good actors. I get rather weary of watching the cutie pies, who wouldn’t be cutie pies if not for the plastic surgery they had done to their eyes and nose. So what happens the actors who make the decision not to change their appearances get looked down upon or will not get the following. Shame on all of us for being so superficial.

mmmm…. this drama has higher ratings than Ghost…. i think im going to try and watch this. i hope this wont bore me

The story and cast are awesome. Starting as underated drama then “boom”.. become a hit among others which full of top stars and idol.
    Highly recommended…!
I hope more drama with strong storyline like this. This drama should win at least “Best Script” this year.

    HyeRim Says:

This is great K-drama which deserved Baek Sang award. Very unique plot of story, very different start in first 2 episodes. Preferred this kind of drama instead of young good looking guys act in K-pop dramas.

    tigerb Says:

just started to watch this series, the first episode is really good with very good cast. i guess it’s not surprising that the postings here are few because the actors here are the older, very experienced ones, who can deliver and not the young idols who are still wet behind the ears.

    tigerb Says:

this series is really good. although i’ve been wondering about ratings in other korean dramas i’ve seen, i agree with the ratings for this one. the ensemble of a cast is perfect, i even liked the annoying antagonistic prosecutor! it’s a very good story, very good delivery, but i can’t believe that three people and their minions can rig the election, trials, etc. etc.: the old man who is ala “the godfather”, the very ambitious politician, and the strategist who is ambivalent depending on where her interests lie. i would think that the depiction of the story should have been lower scale election of a mayor or governor, after all the scenes were not that large. it’s unbelievable that those 3 people could do such things in a big democracy as korea. it’s just a story i know, still it has to be realistic! glad that the writing showed punishment towards the end. i have to look for old dramas like this as the current ones starring younger actors have more or less the same plots, with different twists and turns, which can be boring! the lead actor deserves the award he won, and so does the drama itself. a really good watch!
