Synopsis
‘A Gentleman’s Dignity’ is a drama about the careers and love lives of urban professionals. This drama will tell the story of four men in their forties as they go through love, breakup, success and failure.
Kim Do Jin (Jang Dong Gun), an architect with a scathing tongue have romantic relationship with strict high school teacher Seo Yi Soo (Kim Ha Neul), who moonlights as an umpire at amateur baseball games.
Im Tae San (Kim Soo Ro) is dating a cold-hearted woman but wonders if there is someone else out there for him.
Choi Yoon (Kim Min Jong) tries to heal his heart after losing his wife four years ago.
Lee Jung Rok (Lee Jong Hyuk) marries an older woman for money but may lose his comfortable lifestyle in a divorce.

@KDaddict n CVL yes that was the only part I heard Hongpro said it’s her house and I took it literally that it meant she owns the house. It’s a nice house, realistically not a teacher salary could afford, right? and YS doesn’t seem like she is from a well off family. I think that is why YS is always the more careful one at home, and doing more housework, bec she is the tenant.
@CVL i don’t think so i will hv time to watch old shows, i can barely keep up with the current ones. but i do look forward to julian’s new drama. i think he will be in the new forensic heroes. yes, guys with dimples r such darlings. i hv a set too n my little boy got his from me. unfortunately my little girl did not inherit even one from me..
@Jennie dramacrazy just released a better tomorrow, korean ver. i cant remember much of the hk ver but i’ll check out the korean one to compare. Also it has JJM & SSH ..wow

I heard that phrase when she said: This is essentially my home/house. But don’t know why it leaves a Qn mark in my mind. As for YS doing more housework etc, I interpret that as her being more considerate, easy-going, less selfish.
There aren’t enough hours in the day to watch the new KDs n comment on them, not to mention old KDs, J-dorama, n then HKG dramas. Only if we don’t need to eat, wash or sleep!

@KDaddict i hv a set of twin pair – a boy n a girl. fraternal. Just 2 kids. anymore would mean the end of KD for me. I was planning for just 1 but got a bonus. what more could i asked for. truly blessed n contented.

I know who Julian Cheung is now. He has got to be the only HKG actor who doesn’t look like a gangster IMO. Maybe becos there have too so many gangster movies out of HKG. He is married to Yuen sb, who got a Golden Horse at age 24, right?

KDaddict: I think the part where YS said the house belongs to Hongpro was when Me Ah Ri came back to Korea and asked if she could stay with YS for a few days. Yes Julian is married to Anita Yuen who was the winner of Miss Hongkong in the 90′s. I didn’t listen to George Lam’s music but only heard his music in the movie; I actually enjoyed a few of his movies, he’s a great actor. Siu Fung’s English name is Paula.

KDaddict: FYI: George Lam’s wife is Sally Yeh, she’s also a singer and an actress as well. I have a couple of her CDs in the 90′s I think. I haven’t been listening to Chinese music in years, now I do enjoy listen to a few of Korean OSTs.

@CVL,kdfan,KDaddict I think I mentioned George Lam earlier as one of the king of canto pops. I remember having one of his hits on tape and one of his songs was about the person being as irritating as a mosquito. The first time I heard it I practically DIED ROFL! Hey I am Cantonese and even to me it was really too much! Paula was one of the greats too. Anyone knows Danny Chan? Together with Leslie Chung, Alan Tam, Kenny Bee, they were the real 4heavenly kings to me before Jacky Chan and company became really famous.

My fav HKG movies r the Wong Fai Hung series starring Jet Li, directed by Tsui Hark. Anita Yuen (Thx for her name, CVL) n her husband seem less “contaminated” than the rest. One star I like is Lau Ching Won, not the best looking but good actor.

@kdfan, KDaddict, CVL OMG, Michael Hui and brothers, together with Kenny Bee – their comedies used to bring the whole cinema down! I remember one scene when Michael was getting instructions on how to cook a chicken, instead someone changed the channel and he ended up massaging the dead chicken etc- one of the scenes that stuck cos it was so funny! Ohmy those were the fun days! I’ll try to find the mosquito song KDaddict, am pretty sure I still have it! Lau Ching Wan is still acting but he has lost his screen presence I think. He has a drama House of Harmony n Vengeance which is showing now in HK. Good old days, was smiling away reminiscing while driving after I read all ur comments. TG for car tints!

I think you mean Jacky Cheong and not the famous Kungfu star, Jacky Chan, right? My hubby was so devoted to the famous singer that I ended up having to accompany him to watch his half century concert 3 times !
On this drama, I really love ep 5 and 6. Started enjoying first two episodes, got curious and interested in ep 3/4 and finally really got hooked and addicted after watching ep 5 and 6. I fall for JDG’s charms all over again and I really like his open declaration of his love for Yi Soo and the ways he went about showing it including banging his beloved car. His depiction of Do Jin’s character is more realistic and funny than his character in All About Eve which was so perfect and unrealistic.
Kim Ha Neul has also toned down her overacting and I like her more in latest episodes and can see the chemistry building up between her and JDG especially in the bathroom scene.
Also like the plot development whereby Tae Soo is now been made aware of Yi Soo’s crush on him. I can also sense a love rivalry building up between Colin, Yoon and Mae Ri . Colin’s presence will definitely force Yoon to face his own feelings towards Mae Ri.

kdaddict, i never insult anybody, i speaking of the “fans” with “”who don’t let a chance to a rookie actress (the female lead of bridal mask) just because she is new they bash her and said they want a great famous actress. For me it’s a ironic way to say that it’s not the way a true fan of drama should react. This is the text i post on the thread of bridal mask.
snow queen is a bad drama because it’s a sad story? I don’t know a drama is good just because it is funny. Snow queen is a masterpiece of poetry and tears, full of emotion and a beautiful couple with beautiful cinematography.
For the actress of bridal mask i don’t understand all the complaint about her. Just because she is new, she is not good? the “fans” of drama make me laugh. Ha ji won han ga in song hye kyo wall all rookies actors in their debut, what the problem? For a young actress of 19 she do well in this drama and she is pretty
