Synopsis
A romantic comedy drama about a thoughtless husband who dreams of reuniting with his first lover and a wife who gets confused as her long time lover who dumped her returns.
Cha Seung Hyuk (Ryu Shi Won) runs a famous sports center and has been married for 5 years. In his past, he was a famous fighter with good looks. Cha Seung Hyuk then married a woman who was about to become a nun (Hong Soo Hyun). Because of their marriage, Cha Seung Hyuk became even more popular as a romantist. Since then, he has partaken in lots of commercials and has become an ideal man for women. In real life though, Cha Seung Hyuk is sick of married life. He says goodbye to his wife, hoping to experience love again with his first love …

why they aired almost the same story at the same time. Love Again is also reuniting w/ the past lover. but i think goodbye dear wife is more interesting than Love again but i’ll give it a try……

@ Micc: The drama! I’m not interested into actors personal lives (just wish them the best and that’s it). I don’t choose what i watch because of what i read either, like people who refused to watch Me too, Flower because of Lee Ji-ah’s scandal… Their loss.
But i need to feel empathy and some connection of a kind. First episode here: A macho in red kimono dragging the girl like a puppet, and the girl about to become a nun who throws everything in the air cause she’s hot for the guy? Obviously her religious beliefs are not that strong and should i say it… She’s easy. 2 hateful characters at once… I’m about finishing Fashion King (which has the same problem), and i promised myself i would not dive into such a mess… I want to root for nice guys and girls for a change. Will come back later to check comments here. Who knows… Maybe i will change my mind.

I agreed with you. I couldn’t bring myself to finish the first episode either because the two leads were so uninteresting! Instead of drawing interest, the initial setup actually turns people away.

in fairness i am watching this drama raw,,,i couldnt even understand a thing they are saying but i was able to watch 4 episodes already without eng sub…just means that i find it interesting….i like the story line….i just hope that the main couple will still end up together …

I think this drama suffers fr the same problem as: Can’t Lose, a romantic comedy abt a couple of divorcing lawyers. When is divorce supposed to be funny? They couldn’t make it funny when they tried. The heroine in that show is bad tempered, untrusting, n has never given her marriage a chance. It is impossible to root for her. Even when that char was played by the very lovely n elegant Choi Ji Woo, it was impossible to feel any connection.
When is a married man trying to get back w her ex-girlfriend funny? A cheating jerk at the center of a drama! I don’t think so!

Wow, the husband in this drama is a real SCUMBAG! Although I think at the end he will get back with his wife because obviously he loves her without knowing it, but I hope the wife will go with her first love instead. What he is doing now to get his divorce tells you how unworthy he is as a human being!

Not sure why I watch this drama every week since it came out.
As you all mentioned they are totally true.

“When is a married man trying to get back w her ex-girlfriend funny?”…
Maybe I need to find out how bad he can be until he can be a good one (at the end of the drama in most Kdrama). At first, he is a cheater, how he tried to figure out a way to divorce her (finding fault and setup plot)… what next… This is where I have to sit in front of the computer every week to find out. Probably people will say how an idol I am, isn’t it???
