Synopsis
Sad Sonata is a love story about two men and one woman. The young Joon-young (Kwon Sang Woo), who was raised by his mother who sold liquor to American soldiers, met the blind Hae-in (Kim Hee Sun) and they became childhood sweethearts. Then, Hae-in immigrated to the U.S. following her aunt and her uncle[American soldier that married her aunt]. There she met Gun-woo (Yeon Jung Hoon), who was Joon-young’s best friend and son of a very rich man. After she received a letter from Hwa-jung saying that Joon-young is dead, she accepted Gun-woo’s love. After an operation, Hae-in was able to see again . The story picks up again when composer Joon-young, singer Hae-In, and music producer Gun-woo all meet again.

Sad Love Story is right. It’s very sad indeed. It’s a realy tear jerker, but it’s a good one. What I loved about the drama was how Joon-young just doesn’t stop looking for Hae-in. It’s a good drama. The cast was great. Just a warning, this drama really is very sad. Even though, it’s very touching.

I love KSW acting in this one. I cried oceans – for his heartaches. The leading actress, however, did not play the role well at all. Even after gaining her vision, she still acted like she was blind. She was so distant and her display of emotions were so trivial. The movie dragged a lot and there were just way too many “tragedies”, but it had some good soundtracks and memorable scenes. Overall, KSW was superb. Without him the movie would’ve been unbearable and extremely annoying.

this drama KILLED ME. it is very, very depressing, so if anyone plans on watching this, be prepared…it’s soooooo freakin..omg. i can cry an ocean. on another note, this was an excellent drama. it was produced with GREAT actors.

Yap!its sad..But Kwon Sang Woo is coming back to the philippines again..Jeric how Are you?..I dont know how many times I cried watching this drama…Love friendship sometimes go hand in the hand…Brix and Yssa plus Meryl they were good actors and actresses…but i dont like the ending Jeric died…Every sha lallalalla evey woooohh wooh…still shine every shing aling aling so I started to sing so fine….

Yes, this was another awesome show but w/a sad ending. I loved Sang Woo, He’s soooooo good looking and very single?!? He’s an awesome and very believeable actor. He’s good with his emotions.

… Kwon Sang Woo is at his best in this drama (as always). He makes me cry and when I cry, that means the drama is good. I happen to watch most of Kwon Sang Woo’s drama series and movies… and I enjoy all of them, including this one.

It’s a good movie however, the movie dragged on for too long. It keeps bringing back the old episodes… it’s always going back and forth like we’ve seen it already! And does Suh Joon-Young have to die? It’s so disappointing. Hwa Jong should of died and Lee Min-wo. Overall it’s alright I wouldn’t watch it again though but Kwon Sang-Woo is hot!
