Synopsis
Set during the reign of King Sukjong in the Joseon dynasty, the story focuses on Dong Yi, a water maid who gains the trust of Queen Inhyeon and later the favour of the king when he is moved by her prayers for the health of the Queen during the court disputes caused by Jang Hee Bin. Dong Yi becomes a concubine with the rank of sook-bin and bears a son who will later become the 21st king of Joseon, Yeongjo.

The best part until now was in 20 minutes end of episode 6, it’s very funny when Dong Yi and King Sukjong first meet. King Sukjong be in disguise in as common people in the night, they face the danger when investigating criminal.

I like the scene when Dong Yi (Han Hyo Joo) met the King Sukjon (Ji Jin Hee). It was so funny when the king said that he never climbed over walls before and that he had to act as a steeping stone for Dong Yi so that she could climb over the wall. It is super interesting.

THE BEST PERIOD DRAMA THIS YEAR IS DONG YI.

The story become more interesting when Dong Yi still doesn’t know Sookjong is a King. There will be another comical and funny situation.
I hope Dong Yi and Sookong will begin fall in love each other,
and Dong Yi love Sookjong before she know he is the King.
I can’t wait to see Sookjong finnaly found whom play music
so beautiful, his expression will priceless.
When she meet Cha Chun Soo (her first child love), there will be conflict.
I also wait rival between Lady Jang (like Missil in Queen Seoundok) and
Dong Yi. with another 42 episode rest,
there will be a lot of interesting story can wait,
like CIS investigating the murder.
In “Dong Yi the novel”, King Sookjong really angry when he know
she was daughter of forbidden organization.
In this film is better Dong Yi prove her father and brother
was innocent.
This Saeguk like cinderella story, the King fall in love with
slave. Dong Yi status jump from bottom of social level to the top.

This is up there with Jewel in the Palace – I love the King in Dong Yi he is so hot. His smile is captivating. Thank you Korea for sharing your culture as I watch this drama and others I appreciate your people, talent and culture. I wish to visit your country one day.
