Synopsis
Set during the reign of King Sukjong in the Joseon dynasty, the story focuses on Dong Yi, a water maid who gains the trust of Queen Inhyeon and later the favour of the king when he is moved by her prayers for the health of the Queen during the court disputes caused by Jang Hee Bin. Dong Yi becomes a concubine with the rank of sook-bin and bears a son who will later become the 21st king of Joseon, Yeongjo.

been watching a lot of korean dramas, Dong Yi is one of my top ten. wonderful story, very addictive, great characters. Amazing.

This drama is so addictive. I find the 2 young child actor and actress very, very good. I’ve been watching from Dramacrazy.net but need to have patience to wait for the video to upload and sometimes it can be very frustrating!

am from Philippines. One of a fan DONG YI..i always watching DONG YI at night time..I love Dong YI and my family loves too..fail to watch Dong Yi i open internet to full watch livestreaming at GMA 7 network..

I enjoyed Dong Yi. The casting is excellent and the story strong is enough to ignore any technical faults in the production. My only gripe though, is the ending. It made little sense to me that if someone wants to help the people of the land, there is not a more effective way than utilizing the power of the ruling authority of the time. Dong Yi elected to do it small time.

Love this drama ! The characters are great, funny. The story is amazing and always make me curious, what will happen. I love Han Hyo Joo and Ji Jin Hee. They’re really great actrees and actor..

i love the story….. man it’s the best.. the king and Dong yi are very interesting charaters…..
most male characters are wifeless…..
i watch the ending before i started it.. ha ha ha.. it makes my heart beat faster…
the english subtitles are fast somethings that i could not read….
when i’m through with the series i would probably be able to speak in korean.. ha ha ha…

i love dong yi. many things can be learn especially korean culture. powerful characters able to present historical drama in a very interesting way. congratulation, this was a great movie, no wonder its won an award throughout the year.

i like this drama. a bit funny, full of curiosity. the message is also good.
but, why at the end, it didn’t tell how dong yi died. what happened to the king and all the people around her.
Ji Jin Hee’s acting was so good.
