Episode 10 was great. Shin Hyun Joon was brilliant to play an eccentric genius. I watched many times the scene he was reminiscing his old years when his mother was preparing simple meals. I have the same memories like he had. Beautiful acting.

Well, I mean Episode 12. Shin Hyun Joon and Ha Hee Ra are great in their roles.

1 question though, who si Gim Young Joo’s father?
We know the older sister is actually her mother, then who is the father? Don’t tell me the gambling older brother.

@dbskslave
We do not know who the father is atm. But I think that Sun Young was raped in the past so the person who raped Sun Young is the father of Kim Young Joo. Pretty sad story for her mother but I am still happy that she can still love Young Joo because there are a few examples with mothers who cannot accept that child anymore. So i do not think that the brother is the father of her.

In coming episodes after Episode 16, I wonder Young Joo’s mom may die and give her heart to Young Joo. In Episode 16, Sun Young is diagnosed of an incurable brain disease. My heart hurts for hardships three generations of Young Joo’s family have gone through. I felt there was no way out for Young Joo. But there was a glimpse of hope for better with the help of the “dog trader”, Choi Go Man. But it is murky again in the drama with the diagnosis of Sun Young. Nevertheless, the OST, ‘Lullaby”, by Shin Hyo Bum is very sad but soothing.

Chanced upon this drama while feeling bored waiting for K2H, Rooftop Prince and Queen InHyun Man’s new episodes to air. This is a really brilliant drama, great acting and superb casts! Initially, I was hooked by the comedy part, great acting from Shin Hyundai Joon. But as the drama progressed, realized it’s a part tear jerker, almost wanted to give up as I prefer comedy-romance type dramas.
Anyway, looking forward to the finale tonight. Have already watched Ep. 19, Young Joo is getting her heart transplant tonight, the donor is likely to be Soo Young. But….still clasping on the hope that the trailer for tonite is just teasing the viewers and that the heart donor is someone else, perhaps Park Jong Do..:-) now, that’ll really be the perfect ending…yes,.please….

What a great drama this is! Kim Hyun Joo, Ha Hee Ra, Shin Hyun Joon, and other supporting cast were superb. Shin Hyun Joon was brilliant with some stuttering in his act. It became a tear-jerker, but gives us deeper meaning of the family and life overall. Shin Hyo Bum sang the OST, ‘Lullaby’, beautifully depicting what was going to happen in the lyric. I love this drama.

Alas…I cried so much watching the last 2 episodes. So heart-broken for Soo Young and Choi Go Man. Though a happy ending for Young Joo and De Ha and both mother and daughter leave together as One.
May 22nd, 2012 at 10:25 am
Oops…correction. “live” not “leave”…ha they didn’t leave together. Young Joo lives!!

Wow, I watched the first 2 episodes, pretty emotional. The writing is very good. It’s nice to be carried away by the story without the usual production distractions. Indeed the directing, cinematography, music and script are transparent in this drama. Simply a joyous experience. Kudos to the production people.
Kim Hyun Joo is very good. She pulls it off. I didn’t even feel a twinge of the cringe. Excellent work.
I was put off by the title initially, the drama didn’t make it on my “to watch list”. I decided to check it out on a whim. Glad I did.
So on that point, what the hell is it with these lame titles. “Dummy Mommy” as the title is misleading. It had me thinking it is a kiddie flick, pre-schoolers even. There’s a child in this drama but the story is not about the child nor is it for children. It has adult concepts only.

Mmm.. I take it back. I think the title of the drama was taken from the title of the book, so I guess perhaps something was lost in the translation. And I suppose non-korean speaking viewers are not the prime demographic.

i love this drama cuz there are my Seohyun dongsaeng …and his mom ( fake mom) Kim Hyun Joo

the title should be “dummy daughter’. she played the role as the genius girl, but in the drama, she looked more dummy than her grandmother. she is the one who wants to live with her dad, but in the end she blame her mother for letting her go. what an annoying kid…. but, overall this drama very hearttouching.. recommanded a lot
