Synopsis
“Love Rain” depicts a 1970′s pure love and a love from the present day at the same time. It shows how the offsprings of a previous ill-fated couple, who met in the 1970s, managed to meet and fall in love.
Seo In Ha (Jang Geun Suk) and Kim Yoon Hee (Yoona), a art student and a shy beauty, met and fell in love with each other during college in the 1970s but unfortunately their love was fated to never be.
Now in the present 21st century, Seo In Ha’s son, Seo Joon (Jang Geun Suk) (a liberal photographer) meets and falls in with Kim Yoon Hee’s daughter, Kim Ha Na (Yoona), a cheerful and energetic girl who’s personality is different from her mother’s.
Will their love for each other keep them together or will they have to face the same fate as their parents? (Source)

Question: did the production staff used DSLR cameras to shoot this drama? because i enjoyed watching this since it has the creamiest bokeh and very sharp quality of video… aside from the very good though slow storyline. i hope future drama will have the same quality of video as this one… really superb

No dslr, they used the ARRI ALEXA camera. It’s the first korean drama to use it. The second is To The Beautiful You; and the next will be The 3rd Hospital and Nice Guy.

I give you some exemple of used of great camera in the recent years;
The dslr canon 5d (queen hyun man, padam padam, scent of a woman, dr champ, operation proposal, shut up flower boys, answer to 1997….)
The RedOne camera (Chuno, plan b, history of a salaryman, arang and the the magistrate, gentlemen dignity, big, athena, bridal mask…)

Love Rain is the BEST DRAMA OF ALL TIME!!
The drama is unique and different from other korean dramas…..The Beautiful drama is full of sorrow and laughter at the same time. It is soo addictive that i watched the latest episodes without English Subs and i still did not miss a single episode even though i had tests!!

i was surprised that jang geun suk and yoona have a good chemistry. i commend the both of them for their acting in different time periods. i also like some of the songs and instrumentals in the OST. ^^

” This Story made me cry,, & laugh….very light, but heartwarming.. i love the plotting, the scenes, all the things used in this drama.. very much moving story, the actors proved they are really actors…

Love Rain is the best drama I have watched recently. A good story line, excellent acting from the lead cast JKS and Yoona. All the remaining cast did such wonderful performance, even the neophyte who portrayed Chang Mo portrayed like a veteran. The cinematography of this drama is perfect. I really admired how the director captured the different mood of the different seasons, that as a by product of watching this drama my friend wanted to visit Korea and Japan to see those places they used for the location. JKS & Yoona have such awesome chemistry, how I wish they will win the best couple award. Of course JKS performance is the best. I was awed how he portrayed the 2 generations flawlessly. Kudos to PD Yoon for this masterpiece. But made me laugh are the insecured haters who posted in this blog, made me wonder if they posted some degree appreciation to those dramas with lee comments hahahhaha.

Admin.. I am so in live with the 3 guys singing on stage – the main love rain song sang by Jang Geun Suk..is there a soundtrack for the 3 of them singing this song in the OST here? I tried looking everywhere but cant find it. Will appreciate if you can find it.. thank you very much!

very bad drama. no wonder the rating is very low. i can’t force my self to watch this drama. it just boring. bad story line, bad acting from yoona, bad everything.

The Best Drama of 2012!
Jan Gan Seuk and Yoona were phenomenal and had REAL chemistry if u know what i mean.

The story sucks. My opinion though. This one is just popular due to Idols. JGS and Yoona of SNSD., If other celebs are the cast in this drama and not yoona and JGS, this drama will be forgettable. That’s a reality!

No doubts that JGS acting was superb but I was watching only for 3 episode and give up due to the story and Yoona acting was so bad. Yoona is beautiful but her acting skill very poor.
