   I love this drama so much. The story is really not unexpected!!! Lee Seung Ki and Ha ji Won is the best couple, i think. <3 <3 <3

   This is for sure high up on my list of favorite dramas of all time! Me and my Mom watched this drama while it was airing in Korea and every week the wait for a new episode sucked! I’ve seen so many Korean Dramas so it was getting hard to find a drama that was different then all the others but this drama is. The plot line is so original not cliche in any way shape or form! The actors were amazing, every member of the cast made an amazing contribution to the production. I laughed and cried on every episode. Me and my Mom also think this drama had a pretty good ending! Good endings are not something you find often in KDramas so we were suprised! I went into this drama familiar with the entire cast except Eun Shi Kyung, Bong Goo, and some of the North Korean and 1 South Korean guard! Well let’s just say I’ll remember them now! Amazing drama!!

   So agree.
   This drama set my standard for kdramas high. I tried to get over my withdrawal after this drama ended by watching other drama (I only watch TK2H when it’s aired). I lost my interest once I found some cliches. old cliches, in that other drama. Sigh. The cliches and other things make me immediately put it in my to-continue-watching-once-I-have-the-interest list. Some other dramas even already in my to-or-not-to-watch list. Hehe.

   Try watching A Gentleman’s Dignity, Ghost, Bridal Mask, if you do not want to watch dramas that has “cliche”.
   Personally, I found TK2H was over dramatised on the plots of the political events, I understand that it is only a drama but the writers was actually caught a few times in unfolding the political plots that would be considered ‘not possible’ in a realistic situation.
   Otherwise the romantic plots was okay with the twists of life saving situations that involved all the main characters, with exception of the deatch of the lead actor’s brother and wife and ESK.

    The death of ESK was an anti-climax that I found out that most KDramas fan did not finish watching this drama due to this.

    I love this drama the story line is unique and exciting to watch no dull moments and I’m a big fan of Ha Ji Won, a very talented actress and Lee Seung Ki also a versatile actross all the casts are all good!

    I’m sorry, dear.
    The drama I can’t stand watching I wrote in my comment is none other than Bridal Mask. I really didn’t want to say the title here in TK2H thread, but since you brought it, I dare to say it. Hehe.
    Do you think bridal mask has no cliches? I’m sorry to tell you my dear, that drama has almost all old cliches I watched in kdramas. The writer gave us the cliches right from ep 1, and because I’ve watched many those kind of cliches in many (if not a lot of) kdramas, I can predict what happen next, and yes, all my predictions are proven right. Let me name a few of them: fated first love, something to reunite the OTP (in in this case it’s the knife), and love triangle/rectangle/n-angle, and a super nice second lead who will never get the girl.
    And those cliches are not the only things that make me put this drama into my to-continue-watching-once-I-have-the-interest list.
    I don’t want to make this comment gets any longer, so I just want to say that a gentleman’s dignity and ghost, for me and for different reasons, are already in the same list of bridal mask.

    Here’s my opinion about Shi Kyung death.
    First, he depicted a soldier in real life who’s ready to give his life for the country. He’s the one who’s willing to be the bait for Bong Gu. So I think he’s ready for all the consequences. Second, his death is to give Jae Ha a chance to be the real king. He always gets Hang Ah and/or Shi Kyung at his back. In the last battle when he has to stop the war, he has to do it himself since Shi Kyung was dead and Hang Ah is in North Korea. So it’s to shape Jae Ha to be the real king. What the point of this drama is IF until the last minute, King Jae Ha, the main character of this drama, the center of the story, the main plot, were helped by Shi Kyung.
    Many fans wrote many great analysis about it. Check out the comments in the episode 20 recaps in dramabeans.com. One of my favorites is comment #364. She, the commentator, differentiates between justice and revenge, and Shi Kyung death. FYI, if you check the comments of some episodes recaps in dramabeans, they are 2000+ and full of smart discussion and funny comments. If you are willing to read them all, good luck. Peace. ^^

    Where did you find that most kdrama fans didn’t finish watching this drama because of Shi Kyung death? Because from the comments in dramabeans, this thread, and some other blogs I follow, most of the fans finished this drama, and even rewatch it.

    Hi… *waving hand. Nice to ‘see’ you again. It’s been a while we didn’t talk here.
    Yeah, I love this drama so much. As @Jeanette 1838 said, never dull moments. It sees us as smart viewers and makes us think of it and analyse the details. It didn’t give us a story which was ready to swallow without much thought. This drama also shows us that life isn’t all happily ever after. How you have to move on even in the hardest time of your life and try to utilize all your strength even there’s only 1% chance to succeed. Well, that’s the meaning of this drama for me. Hmm, I think I should change all the ‘us’ above with ‘me’. Hehe.

    I have been various threads and exchange comments on many KDramas with the regulars, the ‘die-hard fans’ of KDramas admitted they could not bear to watch the drama to the end when ESK died.

    Really, dear? Me too, I do the same thing. I’ve been in various threads (dramabeans, a koala’s playground, and this thread, to name few of them) and exchange/read comments with kdrama fans or ‘die-hard’ fans as you said. I can’t say most of them didn’t finish this drama, because based on what I read, almost all of them finished this drama and even, as I said before, rewatch it.
    Please don’t be offended by my comment, dear. I just want to know where you found that you come to a conclusion that most, you said most, kdrama fans didn’t finish this drama because of SK death, because no real evidence about it, and we can’t make a conclusion, in my opinion, based on your opinion in # 1842. If we can make conclusion based on that, it means my conclusion will be different from you even though we use the same benchmark.

    Another blockbuster from Ha Ji Won. A versatile actress as she is, I just love watching her. Lee Seung Ki just fits for the role. A very touching drama, showing no matter what’s our political affiliation and status in life we’re still humans with compassion, rationale, and volition. I’m sure this will be the next top rated movie/drama of the year!!! Vote for it.

    Great Drama!!! Daebak!!! Two thumbs up for Ha Ji Won, she is the best actress that i’d ever seen…Seung Gi Oppa act as well too…^^

    a great drama. all the actor and actress did a very good job. It feels so real. This drama is among the best drama I’ve watched. It full of emotional. King 2 Hearts JJANG!

    I cant resist not to comment on this drama, every episode is excellent and unpredictable, good acting and not a cliche story..thumbs up to the whole cast and the director..highly recommended
