I watched 7 eps and gave up, for now at least. I may return to it another day. The acting is not so good and the director is brain-dead. Sorry director-neem, I conceed there maybe legitimate reasons for the cookie-cutter approach. Why these kdrama cinematographer/directors insist on using a staple of camera methods/effects without properly learning their purpose, the mind boggles. These cookie-cutter methods can detract the viewer about as much as over the top special fx, inappropriate soundtrack and bad acting.

The only thing that gives me hope is the ratings look okay. Oh yea, and Bo Young, for this viewer at least, mitigates all faults in the production..hehe.

Lee Hyun Woo has shown his class of acting in this drama. Good works!

It is a superb movie to me. But it is funny it was not awarded. Sun Woo is someone who is unfortunate involved with a friend who is a traitor and nearly a murderer. The father being stupid and killed his father and all because of Sun Woo’s real father Jin. In a way it is a movie of revenge but he is too forgiving and even can forgive a friend who nearly killed him but he was blind because of his friend too. Fate made him survive and succeeded by his adopted father’s friend. There are many people who are like Lee Jang Il in this world backstabbing, cold hearted, hatred, jealousy..very common in the world today so this is a good movie and a good lesson for those who behave like Lee Joon Il.
Bravo to the writer and producer..I love the movie…One of the best movie 2012 besides The Moon that embraces the sun/ Rooftop Prince

    Iwan Says:

Almost all of the commentary on the much talked Sun Woo (Uhm Tae Woon) and Han Ji Woon (Lee Bou Young). They’re talking about two people is good, forgiving, suffering, good acting, etc..
But speaking burden, suffering, misery, and forgive; anyone who has more burden, suffering, misery, and forgive? Many said Sun Woo suffered the most, because he’s been betrayed, blind, depressed mind. But I think Lee Jang Ill. (Lee Joon Hyuk) are more affected than Sun Woo. Indeed, Sun Woo suffered and had nightmares, but in episode 20 Ill Lee Jang also said he could not sleep every night because haunted by the actions of her parents, the pressure of Jin No Sik, the guilt of betraying his best friend until he committed suicide jumping off the sea cliffs . When the unknown biological father Sun Woo is still alive, contrary to the Ill Jang Ling’s father died, when his beloved (Han Ji Woon) loved Sun Woo and Lee Jang Ill still suffering with his mouth shut and not tell Sun Woo. I saw in the whole episode, that suffering Sun Woo stops, but the suffering continues Ill Lee Jang.
I’m more interested in the Lee Jang Ill (although Sun Woo as the main actor), where he was in a dilemma and depressed from various directions:
    1. guilt towards his friend.
    2. protect parents who do wrong (you might be prosecuted, his parents say, but I think it’s not that easy to judge the parents who telahh caring, encouraging, and gave his life for his son).
    3. pressured from Jin No Sik (Bos parents).
    4. his love rejected Han Ji Won (if you say: why not choose Choi Min Soo, and I would say: Why Han Ji Won loves Sun Woo and kept waiting and accept it, also contrary to Sun Woo Han Ji Woon).
    5. Her friend (Sun Woo) revenge
    6. his father died
    7. he resigned from his job as a prosecutor.
    8. He lost everything and is very depressed.
Ill forgive Lee Jang Sun Woo (not just Sun Woo are forgiven) in episode 20.
Sun Woo is the main actor, but I was more interested in the life of Lee Jang Ill ironic. Lee Jang Ill more suffering, more depressed, and more tragic life than Sun Woo. Lee Jang Ill have a sincere love, sincere, selfless, and refused to budge for the sake of his friend.
I am very sorry for the life of Lee Jang Ill., suffering, lonely, depressed, bear the burden of his father’s debts, fight of life is poor, even when a prosecutor, he must protect his beloved father, the death of his father, out of work, haunted by guilt at friend, received retaliation from his friend and trying not to hurt his friend, until he was depressed in her suicide.

I’ve just finished watching this drama. I agree it is good drama. But one thing I don’t understand ; Did Jang Il die when he let himself drown ? Why Sun Woo can’t save him ?

  16. 166
    sml Says:

@Vivian 161 : you can choose gooddrama link. I watch also from this link also.
Dear All, for me the love of Ji Won was much bigger than Sun Woo’s to her from the beginning. Sun Woo always left her when he was blind and after he regained his sight. Also Ji Won came to look for him at the end…. I am touched by her deep love to him, even she could overcome her hatred to Jin No Sik, Sun Woo’s biological father, just because she loved Sun Woo more…
