Synopsis
This drama is based of ‘The Romance of the Three Kingdoms‘ in set dark world of Salaryman workers.
This drama depicts the trial and tribulations of the average salaryman, from humble beginnings to success. This drama portray the salaryman’s loneliness and isolation, struggles, sorrows, hopes and successes in a realistic light.
One night Yoo Bang (Lee Bum Soo) enters a dark, mysterious villa with nothing but a flashlight, only to find an executive of the Chunha Medical Group, Ho Hae slouched in a chair, dead and Jin Ho Hae’s niece, Yeo Chi (Jung Ryu Won) hiding behind a curtain. At Ho Hae’s funeral, Yoo Bang and Yeo Chi are suddenly taken into custody for his murder. We’re taken three months into the past to reveal what led to this murder and exactly who was responsible. During this flashback we meet Choi Hang Woo (Jung Gyu Woon), a director from Ho Hae’s rival pharmaceutical company, who is undercover to steal the formula for their new drug and the Chief Researcher from Chunha Group, Cha Woo Hee (Hong Soo Hyun). The lives of these individuals will all be intertwined within these three months to reveal exactly just who murdered Ho Hae, and why. (Source)

- Because of conflict of fee payment between South Korea’s integrated cable operators and KBS (cable operators want KBS, SBS and MBC to lower the retransmission fee of their programs), the cable TV system operators stopped carrying the signal of KBS2 TV station on 16/January/2012, causing the ratings of KBS drama series Brain dropped significantly, falling from top ranking position to last ranking position. Because most of the audience cannot watch Brain, the ratings of MBC drama Lights and Shadows and SBS drama Salaryman surged on that day. (Source)

I just love the end of episode 22: Wishing a long life to the audience. Awww, that is just so sweet. I will miss those characters, and i’m pretty sure the actors themselves didn’t expect such a hit. Congrats to all the salarymen and salarywomen!

The show was nicely wrapped up and Hang Woo got off easily despite all his wrong doings. He was not so smart after all since he believed in Mo Gabi’s lie? I find it hard to accept his justification of supporting Mo Gabi due to the fact that his cousin loved her and blaming YBang for his cousin’s death when he was actually the one that caused his cousin’s downfall due to revenge.
Biggest disappointment is in Wol Hee’s character which underwent such a drastic change due to her love for Hang Woo. Despite all the faults, the drama is still the funniest and had the best epilogues.

Just finished this drama, I think this drama is great, love the story and Jung Ryu Won acting is excellent, especially when she swears like crazy, wkwkwkwk.. she is so funny.. Just love her!

this is one of my fave korean comedy drama along with protect the boss.,u can never 4get every episode with a touch of drama and laughter mixed 2gether..jung ryeo won is really different here..cursing without even blinking..ha.ha.ha..still w8ting 4 king 2 hearts..

History if Salaryman is the number 1 most beautiful romantic comedy drama of year 2012. It has moved away from the streotyped drama and set a new era in this millenium. Awesome story with lots of creativity that has ever emerged in this drama. It should not end here cuz the audience are looking for more like a Part II of Salaryman. Ryeo Won has played Yeo Chi character with outstanding performance. She is the Princess of romantic comedy. Her combination with Beom Soo blends so well that has made this drama more successful than ever. She created history for herself through a wide range of new experiences and bring forth a new image that turns the world 360 degrees by her unceasing efforts. Morever, her down to earth personality shines from within. Both Beom Soo and Ryeo Won is the best couple of year 2012. They should comeback in another romantic comedy drama real soon.
