Synopsis

He has asked the nice girl next door to help him with his studies. We may see a better side of the Ahn Boy that we haven’t seen b4.

I really like the neighbor-girl who has no parents. She is so thoughtful, so considerate, the very opposite of the Ahn girl. Is it becos she has no parents that she is so mature n sympathetic?
Lee Jong Suk is really handsome when he is not struggling in the classroom; he is so handsome in the ice rink, where he belongs. His father loses his business, n it destroys his life as a teenager, as an athlete!

Pretty Teacher is stuck w a guy whom she doesn’t love. Surely you can’t pretend to be sb’s gf forever. When will she come to her sense? She is sweet, but not v bright.
Krystal might be growing up now that she is willing to face the change in her family’s fortunes n her life. Her brother too.

Ep 40:
Jung Il Woo guest stars as a repeat final year hi school student, just like the role he plays in Flower Boy Ramyun Shop! He falls in love (at fist sight) with our resident ajumma! Haha. It is great. This is of course played for laughs, but it helps me understand why he would love that very ugly intern teacher in Flower Boy Ramyun Shop. That too is played for laughs!

Ep 54:
No one else cares abt this sit-com. And I don’t blame them. It started out funny, but has been getting bogged down with few new developments. The connection betwn pretty teacher and pathetic docky guy getting ready for his exams is getting very tiresome. It is sth that should be dealt with more quickly in order not to heighten viewer frustration!
Abt Papa Ahn’s failed business: He’s been floundering too long. Finally he starts a business to provide extras for tv production. Let’s see how long that lasts.

Han doctor gives her a job when she was down n out. He helps her w her exam n encourages her. When she wears a lipstick that doesn’t suit her, he doesn’t compliment her. So she harbors a grudge and goes on line to leave anti comments. This is called biting the hand that feeds you. That’s why I don’t like her fr the beginning. This girl is a shameless taker!

The Loser guy fails his Civil Service Exam again! Finally he gives up on Teacher Park n gets out of her life. Good riddance! Viewers have suffered him long enough!
But Teacher Park has to be really dumb to try to match make her awful colleague, the mean English Teacher, to her nice neighbor the doctor! The way she describes her colleague to that doctor n his friends surely sounds like she is talking abt someone else. Yuck.

Why is Teacher park so stupid? Why would she date that loser, but refuse to date Teacher Yoon?
And why is it so difficult Teacher Yoon to tell her he likes her? What is the big deal? I don’t get it!

Teacher Park may be pretty, but she sure isn’t bright. She says she doesn’t want to jeopardize their friendship by dating him. Does she think that he’s going to remain by her side, being supportive and be there every time when she needs him, just like that, always?
I like Ahn Jong Suk’s dream of going to law school with the smart girl next door, n being a couple w her. That’s the only girl worth having in this show!

Love the intelligent girl next door to the Ahn’s. She looks good no matter she’s next to Han Dr. or Jong Suk! I think that actress will do well in future.
Been wondering why this show is called Revenge of the Short legs. Finally in ep 89, Jong Suk calls her Short legs. Now I’d like to know what kind of revenge she’ll have, and for what?!
I Like Jong Suk a lot too. He finally graduates fr hi school. I hope he can overcome his handicap n make a future for himself.
These 2 are my fav chars in the show.
Really don’t like the poverty stricken girl who is staying w her friend, teacher Park. I dislike her even more than Krystal’s char, the sister who is selfish, ignorant n unkind.

Finally Chinese Teacher Park’s relationship w Phy Ed teacher is out in the open! Thank goodness!
The show never told us why she wanted to keep it a secret. But then if she didn’t, there wouldn’t have been all those opportunities for misunderstanding n laughter. The single gag of the ugly English teacher thinking that Phy Ed teacher is in love w her instead of the other Teacher Park has last for 8-10 eps!
This show is short on story, but it’s a sit-com, so what can we expect? It’s sth to kill time. n somewhere to watch the actors u like, is all.

Ep 98-104:
are better than the earlier eps. More is happening, they make connections, form bonds, confess feelings…You feel like sth is going on rather than it’s a meaningless sit-com that kills time.
However, this same production team KILLED off the main leads completely unexpectedly n unnecessarily in the last ep in High Kick 2! So I don’t trust them anymore. I’ll wait till it is all over to watch again. Don’t want to be sucked into another meaningless sad ending w deaths!

Ep 105:
is the ht of absurdity! The ugly English teacher insists on getting to the bottom of Julien’s living arrangement, and she thinks that Teacher Park is going to kill her for knowing their secret of “living together”. The whole ep is abt the reasons that she think she is going to be killed. A more absurd show I have never seen, yet it is just absurd, not funny.
Recently started watching I need a fairy, also a sit-com w canned laughter, 30 mins. each ep. It is funnier and much better by far. In comparison, Hi Kick 3 is lousy.

Ep 108:
is really fun. Kim Bum plays sb like Kim Joo Won, a dept store chaebol who is afraid of elevators! LOL! Plus a whole lot of other phobias! He is really lovely. This is the best of all the Hi Kick 3 eps!
Ep 109:
Perhaps bc the director killed off the main leads last yr in Hi Ki 2, n got a lot of bad press, this time he is bent on uniting all the males w the females in the show. I hope he doesn’t stope so low as to put Julien w the ugly n nasty English teacher. Ugly is one thing, worse, much worse than that: She is nosy, she is mean, she is v unlikable. At the end of ep 109, Julien kisses her, out of pity, I hope. But he’s not going to hear the end of it!

Ep 110:
Is it in ep 100 that there is a director with a spoiled brat of a daughter who falls for Jong Suk at first sight? That little girl is the same actress who played the young Princess Min Hwa in Moon Embracing the Sun. Some exuberance, some bratty behavior, only she is even more bratty here. Ha. I like her let it hang all out there performance. It is exaggerated yet not at all unlikable.

Oh Shxt! Last year in Hi Kick 2 the PD killed off two main leads in a traffic accident, n got a lot of bad press. This year he swears he’ll only focus on the happy aspect of life; so he pairs up everyone in the drama, Including Julien and the awful English teacher! The PD is nuts! I’ll never watch anything by him again!

KDaddict, sorry. I agree with annie. I just got episode 70, and frankly not as good as 1 & 2 high kick. the story seems forced. I remember the story at one of episode the high kick 1 how kim bum should be punished for dropping wine grandfather min ho at kim bum birthday, heard how his best friend (min ho) sing for him or other episode evidence that women’s brains 1/10 men’s brains, see how the face of Jung Il Woo looks so stupid and furious. or in high kick 2 how the grandfather should keep the face of his girlfriend so he held his farts until they explode. or Joon Hyuk stories foot sprain pretend to be with Shin Se Kyung all day. all stories there is a problem and a satisfactory settlement.
